Question for all you early morning exercisers.....

For those of you who get up really really early to exercise (like the 3:30 or 4:00 am risers) what time do you go to bed at night? Are you managing to get enough sleep?:) Just curious about bedtime, I personally could never get up that early unless I went to bed right after supper, or never went to bed in the first place, lol!!:D

Thanks:7

I get up around 5 am and go to bed around 9 pm. I used to get up around 4:30 and go to bed around 8:30pm. I just try for 7 to 8 hours sleep otherwise I am dragging around.

I'm kind of like Diane Sue, I get up at 5:30 and go to bed at 9:30. I HAVE to have 8 hours (sometimes 7 will do). I could never do the 3:30 - 4:00 thing so I have great respect for those who do!

7-8 hours here, but the more the better.

I don't have little ones, so on mornings I know I am getting up, going to bed early is a PRIORITY. If you want to feel good and perform well then it has to be. Treat it that way!

I use to love getting up in the morning and working out.SInce I started my new job the thoughts of getting up at 4 are gut wrenching! Can't do it.But when I did I had to get to bed earlier, or have a nap sometime that day.

I get up between 3:30 and 4:30 and go to bed about 8:30 or 9:00. I'd love to get more sleep, of course, but just can't seem to manage it.

I get up at 4:00 and go to bed at 9:30 or 10:00. I rarely get more than 6-6.5 hours of sleep. Just can't seem to fit in more, and I can't stand sleeping in on the weekends on my time - hehe

I was an exclusive a.m. exerciser. But now I do it in the afternoons too. My son's getting older and more self sufficient. I joined a gym. So, no need to wake up at 4:27 4 days a week.

I just got tired around 8:30 and fell asleep. My advice: make sure your lawn sprinklers are turned off, if you turned them on, before you conk out! LOL

During the work week I get up at 3:15 a.m. (so as to begin my workout at 3:30 a.m.) and workout until 5:00 a.m. (If the workout is intense and beats me up, I rest the next day :p). We go to sleep between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. (I have 3 children: 7, 6 and 17 months old....). I am an exclusive a.m. exerciser. On weekends I get up at 5:55 a.m. if I have a workout scheduled.

Edited to include: I forgot to mention that I feel fine the rest of the day and that I do manage with the few hours of sleep I get. Trust me, they are "quality" sleep-hours...unless the baby is sick!:+

I go to bed around 10 - 10:30 (sometimes later) and up at 4:45 am. I need at least 20 minutes to wake up with coffee and change my clothes and decide what video to do. I try to do this at least 2 - 3 times a week. I have never concord SH in the early morning though.
I feel good during the day, but I admit sometimes taking a supplement that contains caffine every once in a while.

I get up at 4:50am to work out til 6 and go to bed at 9 or 9:30. I also must have the sleep otherwise I don't feel as energetic during my workouts.
