question about tickets

I purchased one base ticket per day for the road trip without the park hopper option. Will my family need to use their park ticket to enter Epcot for the fireworks? I'd hate for us to visit another park during the day and then get denied entrance to the fireworks show.

Yes, you will need to use a park ticket to get into EPCOT on the 4th for the fireworks show. You are correct; if you do not have the "park hopper" option, you can only use that ticket in 1 park all day long. (you can leave and re-enter as many times as you wish). Make sure you don't start off in the morning at a different park because you won't be able to use it for EPCOT once it has been used to enter another park.

Don't worry, there is plenty to do at EPCOT to keep you busy for a day or more!!!

If I purchase a meal ticket for my family for Monday night do we still need to purchase EPCOT tickets to get in?

I actually sent this question to the [email protected] email address a while ago. I got a reply on June 13th saying that they would look into it and get back to me, but I never heard back. So I did some web research on my own, and the best info I could find was at this site.

It says, "Tables in Wonderland hosted an "Illuminations Dessert Party" on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Epcot. The cost was $50, which did not include park admission. However, if you arrived at Epcot at 7 p.m. or later, a Convention Guide was near Guest Relations to allow you into the park without purchasing a ticket."

Now, how accurate that is, I do not know. I guess my own plan is to assume that we will not have to buy admission, and then just purchase it at the last minute if it turns out that the info above is wrong.

Epcot Dinner and Dessert Party

You don't need to purchase a ticket to Epcot. We have our own private Disney Bus to take everyone from our hotel to Epcot for the 4th dinner and dessert party. We will have a Disney Escort that will let us bypass all of the lines too.
