Question about Intensity series and step

I do not own any Cathe DVDs yet but will be ordering the Intensity series when it comes out on DVD. My question is this, I am a current Firm user and I have the "Fanny Lifter" which is basically two steps, a 6 inch and 8 inch. You can use them separately or stack one on top of the other to create a 14 inch step. I think this will work for Cathe's weight lifting DVDs but I am not so sure about the cardio ones where she has the large aerobic stepper. So, my question is this - will I need to buy a step like the one Cathe uses or can I substitute the Fanny Lifter. Keep in mind that this step is not long like an aerobic step. It is about 2 foot by 2 foot.

Although you can use your fanny lifter for the weight work, Cathe uses the mini step set at 14" and 16" on the workouts, you cannot use it for step aerobics. The step used for cardio is a step (4", 6" or 8") which can be set at 3 different height levels depending on your individual need.

The fanny lifter is not a good substitute - Cathe uses the whole length of the step to it's fullest capability. If you're not used to Cathe's style you might want the option to start at 4" instead of being stuck with the choice of 6 or 8". If you're going to get into Cathe, this is one purchase you will not regret.

Thank you both. I figured that was the case - that I would need the large aerobic stepper. Just wanted to make sure before I got one. I am very happy I found Cathe. I didn't know there was such great fitness instructors out there. Heck, until a month or so ago I didn't realize there was The Firm out there. I have been doing traditional weight lifting and have not researched much into exercise videos because I didn't think there was anything but Jane Fonda out there hehe.
