Question about Elbow Soreness

Cosmo Mom

Cathlete
Hi Cathe or anyone else!

The backs of my elbows hurt a couple of days sometimes. I'm sure it's from doing weights (doing STS now) and I'm pretty careful about correct form when lifting.

Is this going to get better like the forearms did from lifting the weights?

I probably should start taking the glucosamine/chondritin stuff too I suppose.

I'd appreciate your input. Thank you!

Cheryl, mine do the same thing (left more than right). I find that it's mostly tricep lying kicbacks and crossbody kickbacks, but sometimes I feel it doing chest presses as well. I kept thinking it was a strength issue, but could be ligament as well (not that I'm a doctor or have even gone to one about it mind you).

Sometimes it's not even that it hurts during the exercise so much as it feels like it's just going to give out.

I know that doesn't exactly help you, but you're not alone.

Ditto on the elbow

I hurt mine I believe when I was doing the lying tricep extensions. It eventually went away like all my other minor injuries. They seem to last a while and then, poof, they're gone.

Thanks for your input. Yes, I think I first started noticing on the lying tricep extensions a long time ago, but I think with better form and building strength it got better. I think now what is happening is I'm finally getting more strength in the biceps, maybe the opposing ligament, etc. is feeling it as well. I definitely started noticing it after the STS bicep workouts.

I don't know, but I'm looking for my husband's glucosamine supplement.......:D

On the positive side, I am finally seeing some strength gains on biceps which has always been a very, very hard muscle for me to increase weights on. Yeah! PLUS, I just got my power rack today RIGHT ON TIME!

Thanks Cathe, crew, SNM, etc!! You're the best!:)

Hi Cheryl!!
How's everything? Let me know how you love the tower... I didn't get it and now I'm regretting my decision.
Hope all is well!!!!
