I just tried pyramid upper body last night and all I can say is "WOW" - I love that workout! Since this is only an upper body workout, I was afraid I would get bored. Not a chance. I couldn't believe how quickly the 56 minutes flew by. Prior to this one, I've only done Cathe's total body workouts, so this was new for me. Perhaps this was why I was hesitant to try it.
Even though I have been lifting light weights for a few years, I am new to the "heavier" lifting category. For pyramids, I used 5, 8, and 10 lbs. for the exercises and it was just fine (for tricep extensions I used 2.5, 5, and 8). I think I can handle a heavier weight for the chest presses, so I am going to go get some 12 lb. dumbells on my lunch break today. Exciting...
Just wanted to share this with anyone who is a beginner weight lifter like me and may want to know about this workout. It's awesome!!!
