PYGFO-"Trick-or-Treat!"

PYGFO Check-in

Good morning, Michelle and PYGFO sisters. Since there were only 3 days left in this month, I did the premixes for a 3-day split for variety. I did the back and biceps premix Monday morning and enjoyed it as much as the original chest and back workout. I did the lower body premix yesterday morning (which includes the calf work from Lower Intensity Step) and prefer the premix so I can have a complete leg workout in one day. I was not as crazy about the chest, shoulders, and triceps premix I did this morning. I had to keep switching my risers from the step for incline chest work to the high step for shoulder work. Not to mention, 3 body parts in one day is more than my attention span can handle! It is nice to have these premixes for variety, but I will most likely stick with the 4-day split format most weeks. I have been dragging my wagon this week and not doing any cardio. Oh my! I am having cardio withdrawals. I need a burst of energy! I shared in Open Discussion that I was shocked Monday when I stepped on the scale. I gained 10 pounds the first week of this heavy lifting rotation. Eek! My weight is still up this morning. I may go to my friend’s cardio boot camp class at the club after work to sweat it out! The rest of this week will be cardio, cardio, and more cardio. I need a Cathe cardio fix! Hopefully, Cathe will have time to post the November rotation today. I am looking forward to seeing what she cooks up for us!

My precious nephew was born this week! He arrived 2 weeks early and weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces. Meet my beloved Grant:

I am planning to enjoy an orange scone for a treat today. Yummy! :9

Blessings,
Heather B.

Happy Halloween Ladies,

I think I have had a week of rest days. My tennis team has been in the play-offs and I haven't been able to workout like I need to. Sad to say, yesterday we were eliminated:-(. Oh well, there is always next spring:eek:.

I sure am ready to get all this stinkin halloween candy out of my house. I will be giving out handfulls of the stuff to every kids that comes by. My DH usually gives 1 piece, not this year!

Vicki - Sounds like you had a great time on your cruise. Hope you are wello rested. (I need a vacation really bad).

Heather - Adorable pictures of the new baby.

And to all the other PYGFO'ers, HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Carolyn

ETA: Did you guys see the halloween costumes jodijodi put on Cathe and crew? Way too cute!! They are under ASK CATHE thread

RE: PYGFO Check-in

Good Morning and Happy Halloween PYGFOers!

Today was 3 mile run and then LIS/HIS cardio and then ME abs. I still haven't done any of the 4ds weight work. Waiting for Cathe's November rotation, which should be posted soon!:)

Michelle--Love the blinking Jack-O-Lanterns. Do you have any trick or treaters at your house or are your kids all too old? Is your youngest a teenager?

Heather-- I take it you are a cardio fan. I like cardio also. You were given good advice to throw out the scale. Enjoy the orange scone. Sounds yummy!
Grant is precious!! Thanks for sharing the sweet picture!

Have a great day all!
Gin:)

RE: PYGFO-

Hi girls! Sorry I've been bad about checking in this week. My mom was here over the weekend until Monday and yesterday I was playing catch up at work. Mom and I had a fun weekend of shopping which included a lot of walking. I haven't had time to get a formal workout in and I doubt I will tonight either. I did walk with my neighbor this morning though. It is starting to get a little chilly so I'm not sure how much longer we can do our morning walks.

I did lots of shopping over the weekend. I HATE shopping, so I try to do it all at once so I don't have to think about it again for awhile. I think I'm done though, got lots of cute stuff for fall and winter, and a few new pairs of boots coming overnight tonight from zappo's. They were cute online, hopefully they will be cute in person.

I just LOVE Jodi's halloween costumes on Ask Cathe. She is so talented. In case y'all don't know who she is, she is the one who designed the Atlanta Cathe Fans t-shirt that we gave Cathe on the road trip.

Gin and Heather - y'all can keep the cardio. Give me the heavy weights baby!! :)

Michelle - Let me know if you end up doing the UB premix and how you liked it. I've been eyeing that one as well.

Carolyn - I didn't know you played Tennis. I had looked into taking lessons at one point. Cobb county has them for about $40 for 6 weeks of lessons. Do you play ALTA?

Have a great day girls. :)

RE: PYGFO-

Tess,
I play ALTA on Thursday Mornings and also Mixed Doubles in the summer and winter. I am also in another league called T2tennis. It is very flexible. You pick your own partner and play at your own convienence, it's not team play like ALTA is.

I really love to play, but it hurts my heel so badly afterwards. It takes 3-4 day of stretching, icing, pain killers etc, before I can walk normally again. Then next thing I know I have another match. I have 3 more T2 matches to play and then I am giving it a break until spring. I would much rather be in pain from Cathe than from tennis :D

I will see you on Saturday. I may be 30 min or so late b/c DD has a tennis match at 12:30.

Carolyn

RE: PYGFO-

I did the HIS and all upper body(#5), which clocked in at 1:39, cool down not included. I did the step portion on an 8" step, allot of fun! My upper body is cooked!

Gin, your workout sounds fun also.:) My youngest, who is 9, will not be going trick or treating, and the others of course are "too old for that baby stuff":D.

Carolyn,playing tennis is a workout, isn't it?

Tess,I think you'll enjoy that upper body premix. }(

RE: PYGFO-

Good evening all. I just got done with my workout. I did the Chest and Abs from BBC and HIS from 4DaySplit. I held off from all the treats at work today and am getting ready to make a big salad for dinner.

Michelle, 1:39 of upper body work!?!?!? I don't think my poor old bod could handle that. Good for you!

Heather, Grant is adorable. Did he get his head of hair from you?

Gin, that's a whole lot of cardio you did. I think the three mile run would have been my limit. In fact, I can't remember the last time I could push myself to run more than 2 miles. Do you ever race?

Tess, it's nice to hear of another who hates shopping. I always think I want to go shopping, but when I'm actually doing it, I hate it. Maybe if I could afford to buy whatever I wanted....

Carolyn, you must have gotten some exercise playing tennis, right? You guys are so lucky to have so many Cathe fans in the area.

Time to go get some dinner. Have a nice night. Hi to Laura, Lara and Vickie if you check in later.

RE: PYGFO-

Hello.

Today was a long day at work, but I managed to fit in LIC lower body circuit/bonus cardio/and abs. I ate dinner late, and now I have to type an eval on one of my kiddos. I am definitely procrastinating right now!!
I was good all day until I went to my 2nd job after school. They had a potluck and I managed to eat one of the best cookies I have ever had. No one could figure out who made them though, so I wasn't able to get the recipe. I think I will continue to ask around until I find out!! I also ate some yummy banana pudding. Good thing I did a little cardio today!

Heather...Congratulations on the birth of your nephew!! Grant is adorable. I love his hair!! I am with you on the cardio. I love weights, but I must MUST have my cardio also.

Gin...I just love putting LIS/HIS cardio together. It is so fun!! Sounds like a great workout today.

Carolyn...The only candy I bought this year was Smarties. I love them, but I can only eat so many of them!! If I bought chocolate---I would be in trouble!! Too bad I couldn't pass up the desserts at work today. They were SO worth the calories though:9

Tess...I hope you like your new boots. I need to check out Zappos. I always forget about them when I am thinking about fall/winter shoes.

Michelle...I may try that premix tomorrow. I haven't had time for any weights this week, and I need to fit all of my upper body in this week. BTW, I tried KCM Stepbox DVD last night. I think I will really like it, she just moves so fast with not as much cueing as I am used to. I also did it after LIS/HIS cardio, so my attention span was fading. I think the vertical step portion is more challenging than the horizontal portion. I just need to have my remote handy the next time I do it!! Kelly had great energy and the production was good. I have her other new one too, but I probably won't get to it for a few days.

Robin...Do you like BBC. I have really been considering this one (especially at the great price). I have so many new DVDs with more on the way, so I am not sure. Knowing me, I will just order it anyway!! Great job on avoiding all of the treats today!!

Okay, I have to get to that eval. Have a great day tomorrow!!
