do all of you go nose to floor? I was watching "Batman Begins" and noticed that Christain Bale was not going all the way down. Ha, almsot anyone can go without chest to floor....
 
Three three three 3 3 3 !!!!! I did three!!!!!
It just about killed me, but I, me, yes, me, the "before" mascot for push-up did three!!!!!!!
I have to go look in the mirror to make sure it was me.
 
See? I told you that you could do it!

And, no, you don't go nose to floor. You come down far enough so your arms are bent at a 90 degree angle. No farther than you would bend your arms for a bench press.

Though if you have a really long nose--or short forearms--that might be the same. ;-)

I'm backtracking!
After a personal best of 37 in a row, I am now down to about 30 (which is even less than where I started)! Oh, well!
 
Kate, that's GREAT!! Congratulations! That is major progress!!

Kathryn - not pushups but yesterday when I did Legs & Glutes, the drills I felt were easy last week were a total struggle. Weird how the body does that, eh? I can't wait to be able to get up to as many pushups as you...on your bad day! :)

Today's goal is to do 15. Since yesterday my left wrist sort of hurts...I'm not sure if I did something to it non exercise related....or if 14 did it. I'll see if I can handle the pushups today but if I feel pain, I'll wait a day.
 
I feel your frustration Kathryn. I just did 15 x( I was up to 27!!! I did a bunch of chinups earlier and I think I can blame it on fatigue, right??? I'll try again tomorrow or Friday.

That's more than 300% more than you started with! And you are adding these on pretty quickly. Good job. I guess it just takes perserverance, and you've got it. (On the other hand, maybe YOU'RE the one who 'stole' my reps! I was able to do more before than I am now!;-) )
 
I did 3 sets of push-ups this morning.

I managed to squeak out 3 1/2 on the first set, and 3 in both 2nd and 3rd sets. I then did one set of negatives. I could only do 3 negatives before failure. Man, those are tough!

My wrist seems to be all right. Pushin on up I go!

I have the same problem!!! Yesterday I could only do 24 even though I was up to 29 last Saturday. I did PS-CST afterwards and couldn't lift as much as I normally do. Guess I'm feeling fatigued, too. I'm also doing WW online and being very diligent so maybe my body isn't used to getting fewer calories yet. I've been making very good food choices - whole grains, leafy greens, low glycemic fruit - and I'm down 5 pounds over the last 4 weeks. Ate a few flex points tonight so hopefully that will help, too.
