Push Pull upper body 3x premix

I'm doing Cathe's May 2007 rotation and this is one of the workouts.

LOVE IT!!!!

I've had this DVD for I don't even know how long and never even looked at the premixes. I'm sure there are others that I haven't explored yet either.

Oh yeah, I love that premix. Discovered it earlier in the year! Isn't it amazing how much she has on the workouts that we leave undiscovered?

It is amazing.

I just did a KPC/L&G premix last night. It was awesome!

I have to start looking at all the premixes...

Did you do the longest one, with the circuit? I like that one (but I haven't tried the others yet).

I find that I often like some of the premixes better than (or at least as much as) the original workout.

Some of my favorite premixes:
Boot Camp "all but core" followed by "core only"
BMax2 "Boot Camp" premix
CTX upper body split (this may not count as an actual 'premix,' but I'll consider it one)

What a funny coincedence - I just did the P/P UB 3x's premix on Sunday. It'd been about a year since I'd done it. I kind of do it in a pyramid fashion, doing the first set fairly light, the second set a bit heavier, and the third set as heavy as I can (usually unable to complete all the reps). I love it!

Hi Kathryn. I'm not sure if it was the longest one. It was called kickbox and strength. It started with KPC warm-up then skipped the cardio portion and went right into the kicking/punching combos. In between each, there were 3, it went to L&G segments. I think there was a longer one that had KPC warm-up & cardio, then the above sequence.

I am starting to like the premixes just as much if not better as the original workouts as well. I love BM2 Boot Camp and the only way I'll do Boot Camp is the "all but core" followed by "core only". I don't like all the getting up and down when doing it in it's original version.

Hi Jillybean. I did UB 3x's in a pyramid fashion as well. On the first set I used the same weight as Cathe, then increased the weight as I went. It was a great workout. I'm definetly feeling it today!

I like that idea! Maybe I'll do that as on next upper body day.

I know that Supersets also has some multiple-upper-body sets premixes. I think those premixes are a good way to increase the intensity of these two workouts in particular.

Melissa, I started doing the 'all but core'/'core only' Bootcamp premix combo for the same reason: I have low blood pressure, and the getting up and down from the floor wasn't feeling good to me. But I also think this way of doing it might make it a wee bit more intense, since all the cardio/lowerbody/upper body segments are closer together, and the core work is done with no breaks.

Hey, thats a cool way to do this premix; I never tried it pyramid style. This is on my rotation next week. I'll try this out; thanks!!
