Pure Strength SLA - Inner Thigh Floorwork

My previous post on BBA t-bar rows brought me some great ideas (thank you!) so I thought I'd solicit more, this time for SLA. I don't have a body bar so I use 8# dumbbells for the floorwork. For inner thighs, I prop myself higher up on my (for example, right) forearm, bend my (left) leg even with my hips, then with a dumbbell on my (right) thigh, I lift my leg at a slight angle. Any other suggestions? Since one side of Cathe's 15# body bar is resting on the floor, do you suppose she's really lifting only about 7-8 lbs?

I really like this series! I've been doing it once a week for the past four weeks and have made some nice strength gains.

My barbell weighs 15#s without any plates on it so I use that. It works great. If you have a lighter barbell, you could always use that and an ankle weight.

Thanks for the suggestions! My barbell only weighs 5 lbs so I think I'll add some plates to it. I never thought of that.

Cathe also suggests using ankle weights. I use 10 lbs. on each leg. Burns like hell. Editing to add that I put the ankle weight on my inner thigh, the way you use your dumbbell.

It's funny you should mention this because I have always wondered if it felt lighter because part of it was on the floor. I use 5 lb ankle weights and hold a 10 lb dumbell on my thigh like I used to do with older Firm workouts.
