I'll be finishing up the last week of my Pure Strength rotation next week, and I just had to tell you it's done great things for me! I started with PS the last week of May, using each video once per week on separate days, and doing 2 days of cardio -- either a 30 min. Tae Bo Basic video, or one of your step videos (usually shortened to 30-45 minutes). I made some progress with that, but I just felt like I was skimping on cardio. So starting in July, as suggested by Jane P., I teamed up the standing legs portion of PS-SLA with the back & bicep work from PS-BBA, and the floor legs from SLA with CST. I did the ab portions after my two 30 minute cardio sessions each week. One day a week was a longer cardio session -- one of your step videos in its entirety.
I can tell I'm losing fat and gaining muscle because I've lost between 1/4" and 1-1/4" in various measurements, but my weight has only gone down a pound or two since the beginning of May. And I've gotten stronger!
A couple weeks ago, I added 5 more pounds to my barbell, and I've been able to move up to 8-pound dumbbells for tricep french presses. However, I noticed a real-life benefit to increased strength -- while working on remodeling our kitchen last weekend (almost done!) I had a much easier time installing the trim around the windows. Only about half as many hits of the hammer to get each nail in, far fewer bent nails, and -- best of all -- my arm didn't even get tired or sore at all! :-jumpy
Thanks so much for making such great, effective videos, Cathe!
