I know you're coming out w/an alternative to pull ups but I was wondering what the piece of equipment is that cedie is using in the photos... is this something commercially available?
Just wanted to add to SNM that there's a typo under Cedie's picture on the blog. It says "Exercise tubing is expensive and can be easily attached . . . " -- I'm sure you meant inexpensive!
My Door Gym is different than what you describe. Mine just fits over the top and bottom of a door and then has the tubing with different levels of difficulty. It's by Altus. I bought mine at Wal-Mart many years ago and I don't think they have it anymore, but I found it on Amazon:
Although Cathe's seems to not require the door, according to a previous post. I wish the attorney's would hurry up so we can all find out what this is. I'm psyched to get one, whatever it is!!
I workout in my garage and I have setup eyehooks in the ceiling that I run the tubing through. It is very stable and works great. The placement of the door does not really allow for a door setup. My first attempt I used a more open hook - like you would hang a bike on - and the hook bent. Now with the tight hook eyes it is very sturdy.
