I've read that it's best to have some (not a lot) of carbs before a workout for energy, and have some protein within a 1/2 hour after a workout to help with muscle restoration and building. Anyone else heard this?

I've seen best results since following BFL. For BFL I don't eat 2 hours before cardio and wait one hour. For weights, I don't eat 2 hours before but I eat shortly thereafter. Protein and carbs and fat.
