I am so bored with my drinks. I want to try something different. Does anyone add the powder to food?? I don't like oatmeal, so I can't add it to that. Does anyone have any good recipes??

TIA
Aila:)

I add a scoop of choolate protein powder to a cup of plain low or non fat yogurt, add a little sweetner of choice (I used Splenda) and you've got a nice little post workout snack. My twelve year old likes this too.

Well this is a drink too but it's pretty yummy .. What I do sometimes is add some yogurt, soymilk and a handful of frozen berries and whip it up in the blender...if it's too thick I add a little ice ... might be a little too cold to drink this time of year though! Maybe will be a better summer drink!

1 cup plain/lowfat yogurt
1 scoop protein powder (I use choc.)
1 cup berries (straw, rasp, blue, black...all good)
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 teaspoons sliced almonds (optional)

Mix yogurt, powder and vanilla until blended. Add fruit and nuts.

Here's a great pudding recipe from Bill Phillips' Eating For Life Cookbook (I modified it slightly):

In a blender, add:
1 cup of nonfat milk
2 scoops of protein powder (I use vanilla for any pudding that's not chocolate)

Mix in blender for 20 seconds.

Add 2 tablespoons of sugarfree instant pudding mix.

Mix in blender for 45 seconds. Put in two bowls and chill for at least 20 minutes

Makes 2 servings and is delicious!

I add a little protein powder to just about everything! Scrambled eggs, burritos, tofu recipes, refried beans, soup, chili, etc. You can hide that stuff in just about anything! I just wouldn't suggest you use chocolate or vanilla flavored if you're going to do that!

I tried that with chocolate too with the oateal and it was nasty! And I added it before cooking! Didn't blend enough. Blech.
