Stacy, candy corn = candy crack to me. 1 is too many, a thousand is not enough. So if you only did a little that is prob good. : )

glad yall liked my spin on our workout and nutrition philosophy. I did pretty well today. I think it helps to go trick or treating w/ sore muscles from workouts. Yes, my kids are too big to go trick or treating, but we go w/ bffs who have baby twin brother/sister, so we manage to justify it. They still love dressing up. This year one was snow white and the other was an Indian princess.

I am going to try to work the run in at least 3 mornings a week. While I was jogging this morning, I was having a conversation with Susan (in my head) about how she should try to make it to the gym while her buddy is here and realized I needed to practice what I am suggesting she do before I start "should-ing" on her.

OK, so I am the first one here for coffee! 2 ish mile run today- about 23 min of hard cardio since not so much of the walk and more of the run sprint.

Dog goes to groomer to get shaved today. OMG the doggie hair tumble weeds are outta control.

I fixed coffee this morn, had a short cup but poured rest into ss thermal cup. Solved carafe problem and coffee refill was better tasting.

OK, I will check back later in day- maybe with some wts to report.
 
Morning Ladies, I am up about to get ready for work and having my coffee.

Today is the 1st, going to be extremely busy at work. :( Thats okay I have another mini vacation coming up with Veterans Day. :)

Today is a Cardio day for me, not sure which dvd I will do but leaning towards Kickboxing. :) Also start back walking with coworker.

The high Temp in Vegas is suppose to be 79. Hopefully I will be able to move my exercise equipment back to the garage so I can start working out in there. Since I workout in the evening the Temp would have to be around 70 degrees or less.

Okay, off to the shower so I can get out of here. Will check in after morning walk with coworker.

Good morning, finishing up coffee here too, only it's finally warmed up to 34 degrees! I think if I worked out in my garage my hands would freeze to my dumbells!!

Not sure what I'm doing today for my workout. I'm meeting my sister soon for brunch and then we may do a little window shopping for Xmas, then to the grocery store, so whatever I have the energy for when I get home!

I'll report back later!
 
Good morning ladies !!

Looks like I'm the last one here for coffee... lol. I slept from 10:00 P.M. til 8:30 A.M. Yikes !!!!!!!!!!!! I usually get up at 6:00.... All that cleaning yesterday wore me out... and more cleaning on the agenda today. It's living room/dining room day !!! I have an L-shaped living room/dining room combo. Lots of dusting to do. I'm giving all the furniture a good rub down with Pledge.

Stacy - thanks for the info on the Cuisinart vs Keurig.

FnV - I'm with you. candy corn = crack for me. Good job Stacy on keeping your candy consumption to a minimum. I can remember when I worked.. all the bowls of candy all over the place. FnV - I will try to get some exercise in while my friend is here... just not sure yet how I'll do that, but I'll figure something out !!! I own a Health Rider... don't know if any of you know what that is... it's like a bike in that you sit down and it has handlebars... but you push forward on the foot pedals while at the same time pulling towards you on the handlebars. It's a good workout... I may do that for 30 minutes a day. The trouble with going to the gym is that by the time I drive there, do my treadmill and drive home it takes a while. Thanks for worrying about me !!!!

Deanna - I'm sorry you have to go back to work today, but at least it will be a short week... and.. as you said.. you have other days off coming up to look forward to !!!

okay.. must get to work before I spend all morning on the computer...

Had a good day shopping with my sis, but it's almost 7pm and still no workout for me yet.

FnV, yes that is the site I use and coincidentally I made a recipe from that site for dinner, a Low Fat Baked Spinach Ziti. It was pretty good!

Now I'm just digesting and mulling over a workout....hmmm....
 
Evening Ladies :)

Back to my exercise routine, 655 Calories burned today doing 58 minutes of Hardcore Kick Max and my walk with coworker. My Thighs, Buns and Hips will be talking to me tomorrow. ;)

My neighbor came over while I was working out in the garage and disturbed my workout, talking all loud. She said I should let her borrow all my dvds so that she can burn them. I just looked at her and kept exercising. Then she tried to tell me that I need to bring my leg up higher, I could have used a Jab, Cross, Upper Cut on her! LOL Exercising is hard work! She is always trying to get something from me for free! Okay enough of that.

I ran out of the house this morning and forgot my water, I was totally lost. I have to get back in the swing of things tomorrow.

Okay, time for a shower will see you all in the AM for coffee.

Good morning !!

Just a quick note... have a busy day ahead of me. I think my friend is arriving a day early (because of weather), so I'm really crunched now... lol

I'm a big list maker and I had lists of what needed to be done each day, so now I have to cram 2 days into 1. It will make for a great workout today.

On a positive note, since starting my no wheat, no sugar regimen Saturday morning, I've lost 1 1/2 pounds... without regular workouts... well.. except Cleaning Max Extreme... lol ... and.. I have more energy.

However.. I don't think I can live without bread, so I shall find a good whole grain bread that I can use for toast and sandwiches and keep all the other wheat products out. Progress, not perfection :)

Morning Ladies,

It is chilly this morning, I woke up and it was 69 degrees in my house. I love it. :) It is also going to be really windy today do not know if I will be walking with coworker.

I had a great workout yesterday. I thought my buns, hips and thighs would be sore today but they are not. I want to have that sore feeling I had in my core in those areas. Does this mean I am not working my buns, hips and thighs hard enough?

Thinking about doing a Total Body workout today, if not another Cardio workout.

Well, I am going to finish my coffee and start getting ready for work. I will check in later and you ladies have a blessed day.

PS: I retract my earlier statement regarding not feeling the burn in my Hip/Butt area after using Kick Max. That area is on fire now!!!!!!! OH MY GOD and I love it.

lol... glad you got the burn Deanna !!! There is a fine line between a nice burn and an "I can't move" burn.... lol

I'm on the home stretch.... only the bathrooms (2 1/2) left to clean and I'm done. The whole house really looks nice. I am thrilled, but tired. I have washed curtains and windows and area rugs and scrubbed and polished and emptied shelves and dusted and washed baseboards. A real honest-to-goodness fall cleaning. Very therapeutic and a great workout.

My friend is arriving tomorrow instead of Friday.... probably about lunch time. All I will have left to do tomorrow is go grocery shopping... then I can relax and enjoy her visit.

We'll be running around a lot.... going hither, thither and yon. Taking some classes... going places....

I'll check in when I can and I will be thinking about you three, wishing you on to success... and I will be so psyched to get back to my workouts in a couple of weeks. !!!

Evening Ladies :)

My two car garage is turning out to be a good work out area. My Jeep is parked on one side and all my exercise equipment, TV and DVD Player is on the other side.

I came home today and did Body Fusion (50 min), that was 400 calories burned. I do not know what exercise I will do tomorrow, probably Core Max, Yoga or Stretch Max.

Did not walk with coworker today, it was pretty windy outside. Tomorrow the Temp is going to be in the upper 60's and windy. I hope it is not to windy because I miss my morning 1 mile walk.

Okay off to the showers, I will see you all for coffe in the AM. :)

Today was one of those LONG days at work, get home exhausted, eat dinner and now it's almost 9pm! No workout, no time today. Too tired for a long post...

I'll return tomorrow!

It will be another late day at work again, so most likely no workout again today or for the next few days for that matter as I'm working 12+ hour shifts every day thru next Monday including the weekend :( I had good intentions of working out this morning but I hit the snooze on the alarm and then ran out of time.

Off to work, have a good day everyone. Deanna do a workout today for me too!!

Just finishing my coffee with cat in lap as usual....

The house is clean !!!! It's such a great feeling and it was a great workout. I'm pleasantly sore all over.

I just talked to my friend and she's on the road and should get here at about 1:00. All I have left to do is go grocery shopping.

I'm going to try to keep my eating under control for the next 2 weeks.. particularly with portion control. We shall see.... It ain't gonna be easy ... lol

Sounds like you all had long days yesterday. Hopefully, today will be better.

I'll be checking in every couple of days to see how y'all are doing. Keep the home fires burning !!!!

Today I am getting my Zumba and Brazil Butt Lift DVD's. My routine today will be Zumba, I hear it is so fun.

It's suppose to be windy in Vegas today but I am still going to try to do my morning walk with my coworker.

Deanna, I bet you will love the Zumba, I bet I would too since I love dance. Let me know how it works for you. I have a friend who teaches it and I've always intended to take one of her classes, but haven't yet.

Stacy, hang in there, I'm with ya on the crazy days. Do you think we can get Deanna to do both our workouts for a few days? : )

Susan, I am so happy for you getting all your cleaning done the way you wanted. I bet you guys are going to have a great time. It will be quiet here w/o you but hopefully not too quiet, cuz that would be a bad sign!

Hi everyone, sorry was AWOL yesterday....long, mentally exhausting day at work, I came home and ate a bag of chips for dinner!!! :(

Another repeat day today (minus the chips), but no workouts. I hope to do a short workout this weekend, but I'm working all weekend too :( :( :(

Anyhoo....

Deanna...have you tried Zumba yet?? I'm not really into dance but I had considered Zumba just to add some spice to my workouts, but I always feel like a big dork doing dancey moves!

FnV...how did your exam go??

Let's all try to keep things going so we can give Susan a good report when she returns!!

Hey Stacy, thanks for asking about exam. I think I did well, but I wish I would have had more time. I'm in same boat, busy weekend, gobs of reading and more to do for Am Hx, dd birthday (16!) and related social activities. I know this month is going to fly by.

Deanna, is your son looking at going back to school soon? I have met so many nice young people while working at the college, I've really enjoyed it- I like and care about so many of them.

zoiks I really need to run in the morning. Stacy maybe you can try a Dr Oz trick when you get home from work, a glass of water w/ vinegar and fiber. I used apple cider vinegar and ground flax seed. It might keep the chip monstie at bay. I've eaten candy for dinner but green smoothies for breakie and fruits or salads for lunch. ::eye roll::
