PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION: SEPTEMBER "SCHOOL DAYS"

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing pics. Peng that is a sweet pic of you and hubby. Andrea, you are a cutie patootie, you've got to get back to your previous level of fitness, you will feel great. I have some fitness progression (more like fitness weaving all over the map) pics. I think Stacy's seen them but I'll take a recent one and add it to the timeline soon (warning, it includes 80's hair).
I have had two unplanned days off (got busy yesterday and today just plain old discombobulated from call regarding mammo.) I better do a good workout in morning but two days off out of 7 isn't too bad.
Re clean eating, not sure what to suggest other than find your motivation. I know that pizza my kids ordered isn't on an anti cancer diet so I'm going to avoid that tonight and as you can tell, I have faith in veggies, lol. I did eat a spinach apple blend this morning and packed a veggieful lunch. Alcohol not on the plan either. ttyl

Finally I was able to see everyone's pics!!!!!!! Everyone looks great! I'm too chicken to post any pics, that and I have no clue how to do it anyways!

Andrea....how tall are you?? I'd say right now my body is about the same as your "before" pics, (not the 2005 ones...I wish). I'm 5'1" and weigh 135 lb, far from obese, but I feel good in my skin and look lean but not skinny at 115 lb, but I think I'd have to eat lettuce to maintain that. Ultimately my goal is 120 lbs. I workout pretty regularly but I ruin it with my eating. I need to just do it. FnV, an anti-cancer diet, that says it all.

Peng...did you get in 4DS?? I had a headache tonight too, finally gone, thank goodness.

Stacy, I skipped cardio but I did Bi's and Tri's.

Faith, thanks for the compliment on Hubby and I. Have you been diagnosed with cancer? Hubby and I are trying for a Plant Strong diet. Since he's always been a confirmed carnivore, I'll still shocked when he asks for more veggies

Today is the day I normally clean house, which I usually do first, then exercise later in the day. I'm thinking about getting my workout in first then cleaning later. Cleaning is not the 'fun' part so I make myself do it first, to make sure it gets done.

Faith, praying your views appoointment goes well.

fnv, i will absolutely get back there. thanks for the push. hoping for positive news for you.
Stacy, I am 5' 4". i'm at about 136 right now and will take sooner new pics this week.
pp, cleaning can wait! workouts can't! lol...

my team is about to take on Miami. hope all goes well!

Tried to make it a leg day here too but instead just got a 40 min run in and 15 push ups.
Drinking Yerba Mate and Green tea.
Andrea, i didn't understand this --> that's SOME new pics ;-)
Peng, maybe I shoulda tried 4ds legs. I meant to do abs too. oh, well maybe catch up later. I don't know planet strong, but guessing it is whole foods with emphasis on veggies?
Stacy are you getting a workout in today?
I'm still about 5 from my goal wt but I've lost 13 since about July 1st.

on my previous post, i'm on my phone and i meant to type in that i would post some new pics and it came out that i would post sooner new pics. made even less sense. lol

I'm hoping my copy of Cross Fire will arrive today. I'm only checking the mail every hour on the hour.

I'm also baking a coconut pound cake. Which I'm sure will be a mistake but sounds yummy. The plan is to eat small slices with fruit. ;)

Faith, correct about plant strong. Mostly veggies.

I had planned on working out before I left the house for the game, but I decided to get an extra hour of sleep instead. Today was tailgating food, no fruits or veggies to speak of :(

FnV...Congrats on your weight loss!! You must be feeling great! Hoping for good news on the medical/health front. I've had some recent health issues too that I'm following along, nothing too serious at this point, but enough to add some sleepless nights at times.

Peng....coconut pound cake, never even heard of that. Keep your slices very thin b/c you are what you eat, right!? ;)

Andrea...how was your diet when you were FIRM'g, and what FIRM workouts did you do?? Congrats to your team, we both beat our Fla teams today :)

I'm making my announcement now...TOMORROW STARTS THE DIET CLEANUP. I'M TIRED OF MUFFIN TOPS, TIRED OF DOUBLE CHINS MAKING AN APPEARANCE AND WANT TO FEEL HEALTHIER AND LIKE WHAT I SEE IN THE MIRROR!!!!

Ok, just making sure everyone sees that including me!!

Tomorrow I'm going to do one my new Horiz Conditioning workouts :)

Cross Fire arrived so I'll do it next week. I baked the cake on a whim but Hubby's Bday is the 11th so I can say its for him, LOL. We are meeting my parents tomorrow at a resturant to celebrate so I can give them some also. Basically, I added coconut to a regular pound cake mix {but I replaced most of the oil with applesauce}. Its really good.

Good luck with Cross Fire, I have it and so far have done it only once, thinking I did a lower impact premix. It was good, but some of the moves are too high impact for my knees :(

Stacy, I'm one of those people who can't do mt climbers or pushups in cardio without passing out on the way up so I've learned to modify for that as well as high impact. Sometimes my versions are more of working along with the instructor than following what they do exactly, but I really need the motivation and company of the dvds. :D

Tomorrow and Mon will be rest days. I've got a tendon in my hip that keeps getting mad at me, one of the reasons I slacked all summer. During Legs today we did side lunges with an abduction, I wasn't using any additonal weight, and enjoyed the exercise but my hip is mad. I've iced it so its feeling better now. Just one of those reoccuring things.

Another one of my infamous nights of insomnia kept me up til 5am, forced myself to get up at 9:30am, which will guarantee I wont be able to sleep tonight either since I got up later in the day.

Peng, have you tried doing yoga regularly? When I do it really helps my hip and knee twinges alot.

Ok....time for coffee and then my date with HC workout.

Stacy, yoga and I don't get along well. I've added the Classical Stretch workouts to help since I'm doing more weights. My hip feels much better today, but I'll keep stretching and icing it to make sure. I"m sorry you didn't get much sleep, I hope the coffee helps and you enjoy your HoCo workouts. Those look really hard to me, from the clips.

What is it about yoga you dont get along with? And yes, the HoCo workouts look tough, I'm scared. I hope I can at least get thru some of it without whimpering!!

hi ladies, checking in on my lunch break. i feel like i'm getting sick, very weak and nauseous :-( however no choice but to come to work today.

i was so tired yesterday i didn't even watch the recording of my Cats pounding the Hurricanes. maybe tomorrow.

i'm looking sooooo forward to getting off of these long weekend shifts!

yoga sounds wonderful right now! i like Ravi Singh and Ana Brett and their kundalini yoga DVD s.

Day 1 of my Clean Eating Overhaul

Starting weight 134.0

Workout: did HoCo Volume 3...well attempted it, lol! This is hands down now officially the hardest workout I own! It's about 50 min including warmup and cooldown and with all my pausing it took me 70 minutes to complete. I modified almost everything but I didnt feel as if I wasnt getting in a good workout. This woman is insane and makes everything look so easy!! I want to do one HoCo conditioning workout each week

Post workout drink...100 calorie chocolate milk. If it's good for the Olympians it's good for me right?! ;)

Dinner tonight is homemade vegetable beef soup. Eating at my inlaws and the challenge will be to avoid her homemade bread and dessert! Wish me luck!

Eye of the tiger, eye of tiger.

Andrea...hope you're feeling better!
