PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION: DECEMBER "GIVE IT YOUR ALL!"

Andrea I think we all have those days. I made the mistake of running tons of errands and not eating before I left the house and then hubby says "hey let's order pizza for dinner"....well I ate it, and then ate some more. So I ate pasta on day 1 of "clean eating" and pizza on day 2. Someone wire my jaw shut, seriously!

My legs are already feeling the DOMS from the "beginner" treadmill workout.

Tomorrow is supposed to be Total Body, hoping to at least get the upper body in. We'll see how my legs feel tomorrow! CTX Upper Body is tough!! I did see some good arm definition when I did it regularly!

Peng, how are you today??
 
I started this morning by doing laundry and I ended up finishing the laundry but also re-arranged my tiny closet. Since its gotten colder, I got the heavy sweaters out of the suitcase I pulled out of the attic the other day and hung them up, I also removed the short sleeve shirts I won't use for layering, and arranged my closet by catagory; caridgans, vests, sweaters, and long sleeves. And I cleaned out a small drawer in my dresser and was able to add in my turtlenecks instead of stacking them on top of the dresser among all the other stuff.

I found my Christmas cards and got two sent out {since this is something I tend to procrastinate, this is a big step for me:p}. And after dinner Hubby and I ran some errands.

Andrea, that discribes how I felt for the past few weeks. I hope you snap out of your funk. We love you!

Stacy, I'm familar with some of those workouts that are labelled 'beginner' but are an hour long, no modifications shown, and include moves that I still haven't mastered. Beginner hah! this is why people don't exercise! The get turned off by tough workout. Sorry for the soapbox!
 
My parents took me to lunch and we did a little shopping. I couldn't find the present I wanted for Hubby so I got Dad to pick it up for me on his way home! My Mom, brought me a few slices of a choc cake that she makes {I dare not make it because I will eat the whole thing} I left the slices on the counter, and while we were gone April ate them. I came home to find the empty foil neatly licked off on the kitchen floor. So someone didn't get lunch! Later, I put the lights on the tree and added decorations {mostly penguins, I might add}. I slept reasonably well last night but I'm just tired today.
 
Awwww Peng you love me? Sho Shweeet! I love you guys (girls!) too! I hate having small closets! And small bathrooms! I dream of being able to see all of my clothes at once and actually one day fitting into them a little better and (gasp!) having some sort of style! ha ha. Wearing scrubs has destroyed my ability to dress myself.

Today was much better. Had a good day at work (meaning things went as they should and nothing went horribly wrong, even got an unexpected apology from someone who completely ruined my day last Wednesday!). Came home and walked the dogs and they were verrrrry well behaved, and then did Yoga Bliss Hips...then proceeded to eat three or four helpings of leftover chili with cheese and sour cream. And a Cherry 7 Up...oh well. My halo is forever tarnished. But I'll never give up trying to do better.

Caught a glimpse of my arms today when I was fixing my hair. Instead of looking like water balloons folded in half when I bend my elbows, they looked like semi sculpted arms. There was this strange narrowing just above my elbows, not squishy puffiness. :) Made me happy!

Tomorrow is LIC. Pretty psyched! Going to tackle it after work since hubby doesn't get home until about four hours after I do. I shouldn't be on my feet as much tomorrow as I was today.
 
Well I'm thinking the holiday bootcamp is going to He** in a handbasket real quick. My feet were throbbing when I came home, so I ate dinner thinking I'd workout after my food digested a bit, but then I got bad stomach cramps after dinner. So instead of wasting the entire night I did wrap some presents, and cleaned the house a wee bit. Thursday mornings I have some time before work to get in a decent workout, so I think I'll join Andrea with LIC (Low Impact Circuit right??). Peng, do you have this workout, we could all do it "together" tomorrow. I was looking going thru some old photos the other day and I got pretty bummed at how aging has not gotten along well with me....the hair, my complexion, my figure. I'm feeling a bit down about that and my lack of workouts lately and even when I am eating really clean and working out, my lack of significant progress. I definitely have not given up and I dont want to bring anyone else down, just been bummin' a bit about life lately. Maybe our down moods here have all been contagious. Count me in as the newest member of the tarnished halo club!

Never giving up though!

Wow, Girl, You Rock!! I finished LIC at about 8am and had to skip one set of pushups and the double arm rows or I'd be late for work! I wouldve had time for the entire workout if I didnt have to pause it every few minutes to catch my breath and not pass out! I got dizzy again after the first segment. I ate a good dinner, and I've worked out many times in the morning before so who knows. I stopped ate a few spoons of yogurt and a few almonds and that helped some.

Great job on the workout! Peng, you have to join us today!

Gotta run or I'll be late! Working til 7pm tonight :(
 
Today I got off my tailfeathers and did the LB+Abs premix of Cathe's High Reps.

I'm still working on knitting gifts in the form of hats and a scarf for my Mom. Hubby is taking his Dad to the Dr today because of a schedulding conflict with another appointment.

I swear I'm losing my mind, my ability to spell, which was never good in the first place, has gone out the window, now I'm starting at words like 'solid' thinking 'that can't be right?"
 
I did premix 1-5 of Imax 3. I bought Imax 2 and 3 together {as a deal?} then was so intimidated with 2 that I neve tried 3. I should point out I only did half the DVD, and about 1/3 of the choreography. This is why I gave up step in the first place, I tend to get confused! but it was fun!
 
no workout this morning, started feeling more bad (nice use of words i know) last night, hope to do pyramid lb and some abs after work today.

gotta shower, running late! have a great day!
 
I didnt workout yesterday. Going to workout later this morning, not sure what yet though, possibly treadmill walk/jog and abs for today and total body or upper body weights tomorrow. Dont know why I'm so sore from LIC Thursday but my shoulders are so and for some of the exercises I dropped to 3 lbs. This is usually not the case. Getting old really sucks.

Peng, I often do half of an Imax workout as well, maybe someday I'll be able to get thru an entire workout without either my knee hurting or my lungs collapsing!
 
I did 1.5 miles on the dreadmill while listening to a knitting podcast.

Stacy, I think I could have gone longer but the choreo was making my brain hurt. Lets just say I did a lot of knee-ups in place, watching them twirl around the board.
 
Well, I didn't get in my Pyramid LB yesterday, but I did get a dog walk in after work. Hubby was sick and needed me to take care of him, and I wasn't feeling super awesome so I figured an extra day of rest would be good for me, just as good as a workout. Besides, who knows, I might feel like working out today when I get home.

Excited about this coming week, I only work Wed and Thurs and then I'm off until the 27th! Should get lots of good work in!
 
I wanted to do some strength training, so I did the Upper&Lower total body premix from the Pyramids. I skipped the leg presses b/c my step height isnt really high enough to feel much of anything doing them.

Other than always striving to do better with my diet, I think my New Year's goals will be focused on increasing my distance jogging/running on the treadmill knee-pain-free and working on strength training.

Did either of you pre-order Xtrain?? I was tempted but waiting on reviews.
