Pretty preggo belly check in 7/12-7/18

Hi everyone,

I've been away for a few days and catching up on e-mails now. I was glad to read that everyone seems to be hanging in there!

I went on a hospital tour on Sunday. Since this is my first child, I was very glad to do it. They told us where to park on D-Day and showed us the rooms, which were private and seemed very nice.

And today I had a 3D sonogram. My little one is still a girl (now confirmed) and apparently a week older than the OB had predicted. My due date is now September 25. The baby is very shy and kept her hands in front of her face , so the 3D sonogram was almost a bust (we couldn't see anything!). But then she moved her hands to the sides of her head and we got the attached photos.

An interesting thing about the sonogram was how uncomfortable it was for me to be lying on my back. I felt I was going to be sick. I guess the baby was sitting on my vena clava, which carries blood to my heart. We had to stop in the middle of the sonogram so I could turn to my side. Now I see why doctors don't want us lying flat on our backs as our pregnancies progress.

This Saturday is my baby shower, so it's a big week.

I'm sorry I don't have a comment for everyone's posts, but I want to thank everyone for sharing. Just want to say that I used to get terrible headaches (tylenol worked for me), LIC is great and so is Low Impact Step, and I agree no inlaws in the room (and frankly I'm considering allowing no one who doesn't have a Dr. in front of his/her name to stand any lower than my waist during delivery ).

Thinking abou going for a run. My DH thinks I'll probably look wierd running w/ my belly and I probably will but oh well.

Dawn - the pictures turned out really well-everything about pregnancy is truly amazing. Granted, some things are more amazing than others (ie. the kicks vs. the heartburn). My DD was born on September 25-the best day of my life!

Priscilla - How exciting that you'll know in just a few days.

Priscilla, I vaguely remember hearing/reading that headaches are not uncommon during pregnancy. I don't know the reason why, but I hope this doesn't stay with you for the next few months.

I didn't try LIC yet. Haven't worked out since Tuesday (did Butts & Guts). Just back from an overnight trip to visit my grandmother with DD and my mom. Too much time in the car!!

Thanks for the bday wishes. Today is my last day of being 35. *YIKES* Then I suppose I crossover to the "other side"...... I cannot imagine being 40!!

My 2-day work stretch is done. We were understaffed & I was definitely overworked. I did not get a break either day. I even was paged when I went to the bathroom. Wed night I could barely get out of my car & walk to my bed. My hips hurt, my legs, feet,......even my finger tips (EVERYTHING). I cried for 30 minutes straight,...from achy pain,.....then I fell asleep for 10 hrs, woke up & worked another gruelsome shift on Thursday. *sigh* I have four days off now.......

So........stupid Melanie shampooed the rest of the carpet & is preparing for my company tomorrow. I plan to "work" another 30 minutes or so and take a long break to watch a movie. I'm going to "relax" today. LOL

Wendy- Hope you had a good run the other day! Does it feel weird running while w a belly?

Dawn- I love the pics! How adorable! We were going to get the 3D but DH decided he wanted to be surprised by what James looked like when he was born.

Priscilla- Can't wait to hear what you are having! I'm thinking girl.... I think.

Things are going good on my end. Just started with regular heartburn/indigestion last night and today so I guess James is going through a growth spurt and making my stomach smaller. He moves around alot these days and one of the girls actually saw my belly moved when he gave me a nice hard kick, so that was fun!

Any fun plans for the weekend ladies??

Jen, you're so sweet.

I made my appt with peri for Mon, Aug 3rd. I'll have a level 2 u/s at that time & learn the sex of our babies.

I got alot of cleaning done,....but want to finish up so I don't have to do ANY tomorrow. Who wants to clean on their bday? Actually, I was hoping that I could get up & go on the elliptical for 20 minutes tomorrow AM......what an awesome bday present! DH turned temp down in hot tub, it's @ 100 degrees. I"m sure the baby & I can handle that. .......bubble bubble,.......I can hear it calling my aching body!!!

HOpe all of you have had a good week. Haley and I made it back yesterday from Mississippi. We had a very nice time but are beat and Haley woke up today with a major head/chest cold with fever...ugggh! I am hoping I do NOT GET IT!!

I need to read the posts from the week and will try and do that tonight!

Here is my 27 week pic. Am I huge or what?????????? I think I am way bigger than with Haley at 27 weeks.

Hi all!
Not sure where we left off in my home drama, but things are insane. My husband lost the promotion to San Diego, the same day we got a CASH offer on the house at almost asking price (this never ever happens in So Cal). Politics were the reason, teh president of the company gave the job to a buddy who had been fired and wanted it. So we get over that, pretty bummed. We froze the house from beign shown for two weeks (I coudl not keep cleaning it and being displaced if it was going to be for no reason). Now my husband was offered a great promotion in San Francisco, but he will start asap. Goodness. So, on tuesday we get teh paperwork to make sure that it is a solid offer, and back to showing the house. I have been feeling exhausted. My tummy is getting much bigger and I have not been able to exercise much at all. Some running in the mornings before it gets hot, but not much else. I sleep every afternoon while my son naps.
I find out if it is a boy or girl this week! Finally! Hooray!
I have been keeping up reading the forums and hope you are all well. I will start posting more regularly and personally this week. Sorry!
Off to have some caffeinated coffee (mmmmmm!) and get the family up for some breakfast.

Christine, any chance your cash offer might still be available? I'm sorry DH's other promotion was taken away due to politics. Are you happier about moving to San Fran, or did you guys prefer the idea of San Diego?

Melanie, sorry your mom isn't coming and that DH isn't following through with his errands.

Hi everyone! DH is gone for the day so DD and I ran a bunch of errands and decided to go to Dairy Queen. We got to the drive-thru and I turned around to ask my DD what she wanted and she was COMPLETELY NAKED!(well, she did still have her seatbelt on) I had to take a pic b/c it was hilarious.

Took dad back to Chicago yesterday (3hrs away)- Dr wants to scan the other lung to make sure it looks ok and is free of clots, cancer, etc. Then he'll decide if he'll really benefit from the since it is really a tough one to go through. He'll be in the hospital for at least 1-2 weeks, possible even having a rib(s) removed to gain access to the lung to drain the fluid and scrape out some of the cancer. We go back to meet w/ the Dr. next week.
I just don't know what I'm going to do since I need to be there for my parents but I have a 3 year old who will feel neglected soon enough, work full-time and am 6 months pregnant!!! We were also supposed to go on a mini vacation next week and now that's not going to happen either. Oh well, I guess it could be worse and everything happens for a reason.

Susan - My belly looks alot like yours. Do you notice the belly button getting a bit shallower? I'm getting to the point now where if I drop something I try picking it up w/ my toes first to avoid bending over. I want one of those "gripper" things that trash collectors use to pick up debris at city parks!

Jen - It really doesn't FEEL too wierd to run but I know it LOOKS wierd. I actually caught a guy at the gym the other night who kept looking at me when I was running and it wasn't because he was admiring my figure! LOL!

Christine - Get your rest it sure sounds like you need it. Can't wait to hear what you're having.

Weather here has been awesome...record breaking coolness..ahhhhhh. We are going to Little Rock out to eat tonight then to play night time putt putt with Haley. SHould be fun

Christine-sorry for all the moving/job drama. At least you have some sort of plan now. I hear SF is awesome. Are you happy about moving there??

Wendy-too funny about DD and her nakedness. Haley used to do stuff like that all the time. Sorry for what your dad is going through...and I know its so stressfull for you. I have no real wisdom. Just take it one day at a time and you'll get through it. Before you know it your dad will be fine and life will be back to normal again.
When I drop something I call Haley most of the time!!! Its so hard to bend over these days isnt it! Yep, belly button is getting shallow!

Allison-if you wait much longer it will be too late to take belly pics..get to it girl!
