Pregnancy Check-in

Yay! Still no morning sickness! I feel a little sick at times, but nothing that I can't work right through, thankfully. I just wish I wasn't so darn tired. Can any of you tell me when the exhaustion started to subside? I also hate how hard my workouts feel to me. I think it's partly because I do them in the morning. Even before I was pg, I felt that my stamina wasn't quite the same with first thing in the morning workouts. Does anyone else experience this prior to pregnancy? Just with pregnancy? Just curious. I don't know that I dare try to move my workouts back to the afternoon for fear that they won't happen.

Sunday: Step Works Warm-up & sections 1&2
Monday: Kick Punch & Crunch punching drills & kicking at the end only plus Step Works section 3
Tuesday: Push Pull
Wednesday: 10 10 10
Thursday: Step Blast (sorry, but I still cannot remember if this is the name of Cathe's new all step tape with the 3 intervals at the end. That's the one I did. I'll remember it one of these days) all the way thru
Friday: Legs & Glutes
Saturday: Off

Hope everyone else is doing well. I don't think I'll be posting my workouts next week because we're leaving for HAWAII on Sunday!!! Yes, my 2 children are coming with, but I'm sure it will still be a great time. :) :) :)

Take care,

Hi everyone!

I had a better week as far as workouts go. I'm feeling like a million bucks these days!
Good news! We found and bought a crib. We weren't planning on getting one this soon but, found an incredible deal. It's one of those convervtible beds.

Anyway, here's my week:

Sunday: off
Monday: Legs & Glutes
Tuesday: CTX (power circuit)
Wednesday: Tone It Up
Thursday: off
Friday: Mix It Up
Saturday: Fit & Firm (Cathe's oldie but goodie)

Stacey - I totally feel your pain with the tiredness. For me it lasted until week 12. I rarely worked out during that time becuase it was just too much work. I did notice that I had more energy in the morning and then just after lunch the energy level was totally gone until the next day. Morning workouts were ideal for me but, even then I was never able to lift and do as much cardio as I could before I got pregnant. It's no fun! Hang in there, you are likely almost through it! :) Have fun in Hawaii! I'm sooooooo jealous!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Greetings! Glad to se you are nausea free Stacey... and I hope it stays that way expecially for your trip to Hawaii. I am soooo jealous! My experience with stamina was similar to Christy's... the first trimester I was just drained. I feel much better now but I do have those days where it takes everything in me to workout. I wish I could do the AM thing... but my daughter likes me to "go the couch" with here and watch PBS. Well, I like it too! :)

Here is my week:

Sunday: OFF
Monday: CTX PC + MIS chest
Tuesday: CTX 10 10 10 + MIS Biceps
Wednesday: CTX LL + MIS shoulders only + Meridian Stretch
Thursday: CTX S&I + MIS Back
Friday: CTX KB + MIS Ticeps
Saturday: CTX AS + Meridian Stretch

Have a great week ladies! Stacey, have a safe, fun, relaxing trip!

Hi girls! You guys are all doing so well!! Stacey - hang in there with the tiredness. Just like Christy and Autumn, mine passed about 11-12 weeks. Unfortunately, now in the last trimester, I am getting tired again. Oh well, it will be so worth it!! I can't believe that you are going to Hawaii!! You couldn't have picked a better time of year! My husband and I got married there on Valentine's Day back in 1998 and the weather was awesome! Where are you going?? How old are your kids, again?? You will all have a blast!!

Here was my workout schedule last week:
Sun: SJP-step and hi/low
Mon: off
Tues: Tone It Up
Wed: C&W cardio only
Th: Mix It up
Fri: off
Sat: Step Blast

Have a great week, ladies!!

Hi everyone. This is my first check in. I just found out I was pregnant last week. This will be my third. I hear what you're saying about being tired Stacey. Luckily I don't have any morning sickness. I didn't have any with my first two so I'm hoping it'll be the same this time around.

Here's what I did last week. I was hoping to do all of the CTX series plus the Upper Body Split but my tiredness got the best of me. I struggled through the ones I did manage to do which is very unusual hopefully it'll pass quickly.

Mon:Step & Intervals + step portion of 10/10/10 + chest work
Tues: Kickbox + kickbox portion of 10/10/10 + bicep and ab work
Wed: off
Thurs: All Step + shoulders + tricep work 10/10/10 + abs
Fri: off
Sat: off
Sun: off

Have fun in Hawaii Stacey!!!

Thanks for all your well-wishes for my trip to Hawaii, everyone. I am very excited, but I am a big baby about flying and very afraid to have my kids on a plane for the first time. They are 6 and 3. My daughter being the youngest. We are going to the big island figuring it's more family-oriented with more activities for the little ones, etc. Hopefully it will just be the first of many vacations there. It would be nice if one of them would be without the kids, but gosh, who in the world am I going to get to watch 3 kids for me? I don't know why 3 seems like so many more than 2, but it does!

I know it's stupid, but since this is the first pregnancy I have had without severe morning sickness (lasting 16-18 weeks and then low-grade throughout my pregnancy) I feel as if something is wrong. I should just be happy and stop worrying. I sure have other symptoms of being pregnant. I think I'll just feel better after I go to the doctor and hear that little heart beat.

Take care, guys. I'll miss checking in with you next week. I'll miss working out too, but I'm sure I'll be doing a ton of walking.

Hi everyone!!! My name is Kristy and I went to the doctor today and he confirmed that I am pregnant. I am really excited. This will be my second. I have a 4 year old son, Jacob. I have to make a comment about being tired. When I am working out, my legs feel really heavy and my heart rate is fast and gets up there fast as well. Now, I am only 5 weeks so will this get hardier before it will get easier? Here is what I'm doing:
Sun. KP&C
Mon. Legs and Glutes
Tues. KP&C
Wed. push and pull
Thrus. KP&C
Fri. supersets
Sat. off

On KP&C, I can only get threw half at a time. I have another question. I have only known for a week now and I swear my tummy looks already different. It's all bloated and full looking, not pregnant. Has this happened to any of you?

Hi Kristy! Welcome! I had the exact same experience that you are now! I am pregnant with my second, as well, and I swear that I started to get a pooch in the belly almost immediately! I was also exhausted and my legs felt like a ton of bricks - EACH! It will get better, though. I got my energy back around 11 or 12 weeks. Of course, now I am getting tired again, but they say that is normal for the third trimester. Keep up the awesome work and we look forward to hearing from you each week!

Hi girls! I'm into my 13th week (with my first) and my energy levels are starting to grow by leaps and bounds. I was pretty fatigued throughout the first trimester and my workouts went from 5-6 per week to about 3. I needed that day of rest in between. Also, the intensity and duration decreased a bit, too. But it's getting better. On Sunday I did KP&C and was able to get through the whole thing with just a few modifications (to lower intensity). A few weeks ago I had to stop after the 2nd combo toward the end.

Stacey - before I became pregnant I worked out in the mornings before eating breakfast. Now I still work out mornings but about two hours after eating breakfast to keep the blood glucose levels steady. Earlier on I couldn't workout until about 2p.m. (I work out of my house so I have more flexible hours!) Enjoy Hawaii!

Kristy - I've been bloated since just before I found out I was pregnant and it hasn't gone away. And I don't expect it to. I'll probably start showing in a few weeks. I thickened up in the waist pretty fast during those first couple months. I can get my jeans on - legs and butt are still ok but I can't zip up! And my legs felt like a ton of bricks, too. That was one of the first things I noticed before I confirmed the pregnancy. I could barely do leg presses in Muscle Endurance one day.

Take care, everyone! Diana

Diana:

I have always noticed that I have less stamina in the morning pregnant or not. Especially without eating first. I can do okay with my 30 min workouts but when I want to do one of my tougher 60 minute tapes, I really feel it in the morning feeling as if I can barely get thru it whereas when I workout later in the day, even if it's RIGHT after I've eaten, I breeze right through. I definitely eat before I workout now and let it sit for 30 minutes, but it still feels harder. My ideal would be to eat, sit for 2 hours, and then workout, but I work from home, too, and with my children's school schedule, I am just afraid to put it off for fear that I won't get to it. I used to workout during the lunch hour and I started getting such anxiety thinking of all the work I should be doing that I didn't enjoy working out and would be lucky to get 3-5 a week in. The morning schedule has worked so much better for me with the exception of the fact that I feel so much more challenged. I'm sure that it's just because I'm one of those people who does better with food. And has become even more difficult due to the pregnancy which is normal.

Thank.
Stacey

It's awesome to see so many new people on this forum. Congrats on your pregnancies!!!! I don't know about your areas, but it seems as if there has been a real baby boom in our area the past year. I live in a real small town and I know of at least 10 people who are pregnant. It's so awesome. :) Good luck with your pregnancies. Everyone is doing such a great job with their workouts. Keep up the good work!

Hi Melanie!! We miss you over here! Thanks for checking in! I'll see you on the "other side" eventually! ;-) How are you doing? Are you recovering well from your C-section? I sure hope so!

Sara, it's nice to see how everyone is doing. It's so exciting to see so many 'new' people joining the worklout log, isn't it?! See, YOU are an inspiration!
I'm recovering well. I'm still a little sore. I'm 5-lbs from pre-pregnancy weight already...so this is really exciting. I think I'll take one more week off and begin light cardio & upper body strength next week--Justin will be 4 weeks old then.
Thanks for asking! You're so sweet! :) It looks like you're still doing awesome.
