So pedicure was MARVELOUS! She massaged my feet for so long and it was woooonnnderful! Got a lot of little stuff done today and did manage to rest so I don't feel too bad. Have my family baby shower tomorrow so I didn't want to be too tired or sore for that.
Susan- I wish you lived closer so you could cook and bake for me! I just dream of having all that time to cook and bake because I love doing it so much!
Melanie- Sounds like DH is doing an EXCELLENT job! Tell him to keep up the good work. It must be sonice to just sit and hang out with your family now. Most of the time we are just too busy to talk to one another and now you guys get that. Enjoy!
And thank you both for the tips on the contractions. Now I have a better idea what to look out for when the real ones start. I've had brx hicks so I know what those feel like. Enjoy your night, I'm off to watch a breast feeding video.
Yeah to pampering, Jen!!! You'll have to post a pic of your pretty toes. Mine are just now back to good coloring---they always get so yellow after I take polish off of them.
DH has slid into our BR about hourly to make sure I'm doing okay. Our eldest son watched the little boys for "1 hour" today....and DH got to go have coffee with his friends. He was punctual & am so proud of him. Hope it keeps up!!!
Melanie-did you ever tell the other dr's office you were leaving? Do they know you were hospitalized?? Im sooooo happy things are going good for you! Your girls will be perfect! 36 weeks will be here before you know it!
Dinner is done, kitchen is clean and I am pooped (well I wish..haha). Gonna jump in the shower and watch a movie with Haley.
No, I never did talk with my ob/gyn's office. I had an appt on Monday....needless to say I didn't make it (was hospitalized). The hospitals/clinics are all part of the same "sytem" ....so they could easily see I was hospitalized if they peeked in my medical chart. I've never missed an appt....I wonder if dr cared enough to look in my record?
A few days before my appt my "old" ob/gyn's nurse called and chatted with me for some time. She was wonderful! I will miss her! She knew he was "different" with me....and didn't know why. Who knows? Maybe he dated a pharmacist once & got burned. LOL
I dont care what reason that dr had..he's a big jerk!!!!!
We had to cut the movie short. It was 17 Again..and I didnt realize it was PG 13...needless to say it was a bit racey for Haley. The few things that were said went over her head.....but it was a bit much. Even a 13 year old shouldnt watch it!
I told her I would sleep with her tonight so she's excited. I won't be able to very much longer!
Morning!
Jen-the pics are awesome!! You'll love looking back at them over the years! Oh, and the contractions I explained earlier were at the worst of it. At first it was hard to tell them between period cramps and what Haley calls a "poop pain".
Not a whole lot of sleep here..hope everyone else got some zzz's though!
Thought I would jump in--maybe my last post except to wish you all congrats along the way!
Melanie, enjoy your bedrest if you can. Sounds like you are able to catch up on a few things. Go 36 weeks! I know the twins can make it.
Jen, glad to hear your bp went down. I ate lunch meats on and off, too. Good to hear things are evening out.
Susan, I felt silly when I got to the hospital and found out what I thought were baby kicks were actually contractions. Hmmm.
Miss Morgan is doing very well. She is no longer yellow and she is sleeping in 3-hour stretches pretty well. My biggest problem is the unbelievable fussiness and ravenous hunger in the 9-to-midnight time period. She seems to have such bad gas or maybe it's colic or maybe it's just being a newborn. From what I read, I'm hoping it will even out.
OK. Checking off the forum for now and wishing you guys all wonderful deliveries and birth. Catch you on facebook or a forum.
Oops I forgot to send good wishes to everyone on the forum. I quickly read all the personals but apologize if I didn't send a personal message to everyone. Thinking of you though.
Also to say that my milk came in on day 4 and that made breastfeeding SO much easier. Thank goodness I didn't give up. Also, a lactation consultant came to my hospital room and monitored my technique (not as embarrassing as I thought it would be) and gave me great pointers.
Jen, those pics are beautiful!! I might have to somehow get some pics of my belly. My DH wouldn't be the type to be in my pics either. LOL I got some anti-embollism stockings (thigh hi) at the hospital....and the nurseses wanted me to have DH put them on me. I laughed for about 5 minutes....could not see him EVER doing that. LOL
Susan, I didn't sleep that great. When I woke up, the boys were in my bed...so when I was ready to get up at 6AM, I couldn't b/c my bed was full of sleepy people. So, I showered,.....then walked to the couch and watched Fit TV. LOL If I can't workout....at least I can watch it.
Dawn, I hope you stick around the forums. There's a slew of us having babies soon....and you can get alot of support the 1st year....or even join the mommies group already here.
Melanie- Too bad you didn't live closer, I would come over and take some shots of your belly. Maybe even ones with you in your stockings??? ;P DH was in the shots and actually was such a great sport and told me later it was fun. HUH??? What'd you do with my DH????
Susan- That's how my period would always start was with "poop" pain and then I would go to the bathroom and have a BM and ALAS, AF would be here too. That helps so I can distinguish what is what. Everyone keeps saying "Oh you will know" but I want to know what it feels like when they start, not when they hurt.
Dawn- I agree with Melanie. I plan on staying on in this forum for mommy and newborn support. Plus your info is now very helpful to me. Thanks for posting about your milk too. I plan to breast feed so that encourages me to stick with it!
Well family shower is today at 1pm and if I'm not too exhausted, I will try to post later about the PARTY! It should be fun, there is over 30 family members/family friends coming. Have a great day ladies!
We made it to Little Rock and did some shopping. I found a really comfy nursing/sleep bra at Target. I ordered a couple from JCP and Motherhood.com. I have to figure out which I like and want to keep.
I have cleaned the bathrooms and vacuumed the house. I need to wax my eyebrows..then I will feel "ready".
Jen-that is exactly how I get my period!! Hope you are having fun at the shower!
Mel-whats up with you today! I watch fit tv too and dream of a tough Cathe workout!
Dawn-good to see you. Please keep hanging with us!
Have no idea what is for dinner. We all have been snacking today..so it won't be much! I hope I don't go into labor tonight. I just ate a bowl of chocolate pudding....and well it did NOT agree with me! Pushing and gas..not a good combo..hahaha. I might ask for an enama anyway..just to get cleaned out. Dr told me I had that option. I have never had one though and the thought of someting in my booty creeps me out!
