Pregnancy and New Mommies!!! Sept 28-Oct 4

Susan- Is 7 times a day normal for you? Sounds more like a sign of labor! (Fingers crossed)

Melanie- Yay for DH wanting to take care of you! Good man! I am so glad that your girls are staying put! 10 lbs??!! That is amazing! I'm glad you are not so stressed out anymore. This is probably just what your body needed!

I think my job is throwing a shower for me tomorrow. My boss sends me an email stating that she wants to meet with me, her and the big boss about my maternity leave asking what time would be good because I have dr's appt in AM and ask the big boss where she wants to meet. (We ALWAYS meet in big boss's office for things like this) :) So the big boss says the board room (which is where we always hold functions and surprises) ;) I am very touched and with everything that has been going on with MIL it is the perfect time to get me focused on myself and James again. I'm still going to act surprised and tell them I had no idea because my boss and co workers would be upset if I wasn't surprised.

Waves to all!

Jen-how exciting about your suprise shower!!At least you can look all cute and suprised!!
No 7 times is not normal for me since being pregnant...Im lucky for 4 times a week lately! I"ll keep you posted!

Susan- You are having a baby, girl! Nobody goes BM that much unless baby is pushing out. Pack your bag!!!
Jen- The girls are all saying the same thing I would say. I had the same drama with my MIL during pregnancy and when my son was born. Your husband needs to handle this, not you. My husband dragged his feet forever and things were really strained. I actually kicked my MIL out of the house after my son was born. When it comes to showers, you are the star. My MIL missed my baby shower and blamed me for it. She had a girls night out planned, and I was not goign to change the date for the shower to accomadate her, so she got really pissy. She is from out of state, and so were many other people, so I picked a day and whoever came, that was it. When I had my son, she was chock full of unnecessary input. I remember coming home from teh hospital, and having to clean teh house and cook dinner and do laundry, with my body leaking everywhere and looking at my in laws sitting on the couch having wine telling me how to handle things. That was when DH should have stood up for me. We let it fester for MONTHS. So, get DH in front of this now!!! I completely agree on the FB block. I actaully blocked my sister today. It is nice to go onto things like FB for a positive experience. I eliminate drama as much as possible.
Melanie (1)- Hooray on getting out of hte hospital. We are in the homestretch, and the girls will be great. Glad you are feeling good. I am thinking you coudl probably feel like God after 10 pounds of BM removal. Holy liberation. I want to poop like that.
Priscilla- I am feeling super pregnant, too.
Mel (2)- Glad you have a positive doctor, I think happy healthy thoughts for you all day every day.
Dawn and Allison- Miss you and know what you are going through! Whhoooo! ANd allison, thank you for reminding me about the circumcision and belly stump, I forgot about that!!!
Raciela- Hope you are well.
I think I have forgotten a few, if so , I am so sorry!!!
I am getting over being sick, and fly with my son to CHicago for a wedding tomrorow. Yuck. I am taking Benadryl, which is allowed. It helps some. I know this sounds grouchy, but weddings bum me out, because large families never get along. I am always frustrated at all the drama that comes! But, the food is great there, so that is a plus!
The house thing is going great. We are closing on both houses on Oct. 29th. I have sold most of our furniture on Craig's List. That was so easy! It was gone in 2 days! It makes the concept of moving much easier, the house is empty adn it does not seem so daunting to get all this crap out of here.
I hope you are all well!
Susan, happy pushing!!! :)

Morning!
Got some sleep so Im feeling good today. No labor for me yet! My breasts are getting sore again..gearing up for work I guess.

Melanie-hope you make it home today!

Christine-so glad your house issues are going well...and glad you are feeling better. Enjoy the food at the wedding!

Mel2 let us know how the US goes!

Jen-have fun at your shower! Can't wait to hear about it

Waves to everyone!! Off to get the day going. I"ll be back to check on everyone!

Morning ladies! Had another dr's appt this AM. He is sending me for blood work because my BP is gradually climbing (gee, I wonder why???) but he wants to check just in case and then I follow up again with him next week. I did tell him about the family drama but he would rather be safe than sorry. Gained 4 more lbs so I am up to 170. Oh well....it will eventually come off. HB was in the 150's and doing great.

Susan- Hope you are all ready to go cause I think it will be soon! Will be thinking about ya!

Christine- Thank you for your stern words! :) I need to hear them and you are so right. I am normally tougher than this and write dramatic/negative people out of my life so easy so I blame the darn hormones! Plus I haven't been able to run and sweat really hard to clear my head either. But soon enough I will! Yay for the turnaround on all the house stuff! Pretty soon all that stress will be a blip on your radar! I hope you are feeling better!

Melanie- How's that DH taking care of you??? Tell him it better be 5 star hotel service for you and those baby girls!

Waves to all! BBL and let you know if work throws a shower or not!

So my work did throw me a "surprise" shower! And it was so great! There was games, food and a cupcake "cake". I got some stuff off of my registry and some really cute outfits for James! It was so much more than I expected. I am going to try and take pics of the gifts tonight and post!

Jen-that is awesome about your shower..so glad you had a nice time!!!!

My brain is fried. I have read 2 chapters (boring chapters) in Sociolgy. I need to read 2 more then I will be ahead enough I won't have to worry for a week or so. I am caught up in ARt and my midterm is not due until Oct 19, but my plan is to take it on Tuesday. We'll see!!!

Mel2-how the the us go??

Melanie-are you at home yet??

I walked 3 miles this morning..slow miles. I cannot believe a week from today I will be having a baby!!!

Thank you for you thoughts and prayers, however we are having a twin miscarriage. The ultrasound today confirmed that there was not embryo growth, just the two yolk sacs. Exactly as last week. No progression at all.
We are scheduled for a D&C on Tuesday since I am not bleeding yet.

I hope you all understand that I will obviously be leaving this forum.
I wish you all healthy deliveries and babies.

With love xoxo,
Melanie

Mel (2)!!!! I am sooooooooo sorry. I was so hopeful for you w/the increase in HCG levels. Urgh, they should be going down with a miscarriage.... :( I'm praying for you girlie. (hugs) PM me anytime.

Jen, how fun a suprise shower! I'm glad you got lots of loot!!!! i would love to see a picture

Susan, I agree about the BMs. That was normally my first signs (along w/menstral like cramping)

Christine, sounds like you're getting back on your feet again. Holy cow, you sure have your trials!

Precilla, getting big?

Well..........I'm home!! DH sent me to my room when I got home. So far so good........and laptop works nicely. Now I'm going to have lots of time to keep an eye on you ladies!!!!

Waves!!!

Hi everyone,

Mel2, I am very sorry you are going thru this... I'll be praying for you

Melanie, finally at home!! Nothing like home for sure. Don't get too crazy shopping online LOL
Yeah, I'm getting big, I feel that I'm carrying all the weight forward which really takes a toll on my lower back, but in general I feel ok

Jen, how cool you got a "surprise" party. Are you getting swollen or you think the BP may be purely stress?

Susan, just a short week girl. It'll be here in a blink on an eye

Christine, sounds like everything is finally settling down. I may be moving to a bigger apt in Dec. Not looking forward to it at all...

I was just wondering, which car seat or traveling system did you get?? First time mom here did not know that there were so many to choose from. My sister recommended the Chicco one but my other sister think Graco is better. Any suggestions?

Hi to the rest of the girls, good night

Hi Precilla! It sounds like you are doing wonderfully. That makes my heart happy. This is the first time I purchased brand new carseats. I had several friends recommend the Graco Snugride. You can get a Graco sroller with it.....but I've NEVER had a "system" combo. Once babies can hold their heads up...they're fine in a regular stroller....and I don't normally take my wee-ones out much until they're 3 mos old or so. If I did take them shopping, I used my baby bjorn. Just my 2 cents.

Jen, what's your bp normally?

OMG Susan, seems like you may have your baby in less than a week then, keep us posted please. BTW I love the car seat and stroller you have beacuse of the neutral colors and does not look that heavy either.

Melanie, I see your point too, i'ts nice when you have stuffs you can use from your other kids

Priscila- I don't notice any swelling at all. I believe it is stress related right now.

Melanie- My BP is normally 110-112/80 or so. Yay for being in your own bed, must feel so nice!!!

We got the pics on the computer, I will try and post some stuff this weekend.

Jen, that's a pretty big jump in your bp. Are you swollen too? When is you follow up appt?

it does feel great to be off my feet. :) very very very good.
