Pregnancy and mommy check-in Oct 25

Whew! Glad everyting went well with your check up Susan!!! Do you have Turbo Jams? I used them as my first workouts after delivering my last two.

I just posted a long update on my carepages....so I won't repeat myself here....just a quick recap of today.

I had my first biopysical profile ultrasound today. Madalynn scored 10 out of 10 & Myanda scored 8.5 out of 10. Both are passing & great scores. Myra scored a bit lower b/c she was sleeping/tranquil....and didn't have any gigantic motions while being watched.

My ob/gyn hasn't gotten ahold of perinatlogist in MPLS yet.....so it looks like a Friday transfer.

Had an awesome visit with DH & boys today. I'm so grateful that I saw them today!!!

Tomorrow I'll be 33 weeks! Yippee!!!!

Melanie-33 weeks is awesome! So glad you had a nice visit with all your men today! I don't have any TJ's....hmmm I have aquite a few new vids...it will be fun trying them out.
Ok..Kara is screaming her head off..not happy with dh or haley....see you tomorrow!

Morning ladies! Slept like a log, well as much as a log that gets up about 4 times to pee! :) Had alot of contractions last night before I went to bed that they were making me restless and antsy but nothing that hurt. Feel fine today but still having lots of EWCM! Woo hoo! Never thought I would be excited to see THAT again.

Susan- Yay for getting the ok to workout! I can't wait to work out hard again!

Melanie- How wonderful that the girls are doing well and passing all their tests! :) Woo hoo for 33 weeks!

Hi to all! Hope you are all are doing well preparing for your babies!

Hello to all my pregnant Cathe friends --

Melanie - I am so sorry to hear that you will have to be so far from your family, but am really glad that the girls are doing well.

Jen - You are getting close. I greatly empathize with your desire to make progress toward labor.

Amber - welcome to the pregnancy forum. The general attitude here toward diet and fitness seems to be "do what you can. yumm! jen made cookies." So we will rejoice over your success and be jealous of the things you feel guilty about.

I am well. Ultrasound Tuesday showed the baby at 8lb 6oz. With 3 weeks left, that sound big to me. No breast leakage, a few light contractions, and many trips to the bathroom. We are almost ready for the baby. I will be pre-registering at the hospital, installing the car seat, and packing the hospital bags this weekend.

qucik post here. I have been reading and Kara is stirring and will be up any second. Just wanted to say HI. When classes are done I will be hrer posting so much you'll be tired of me!
Jen-glad you slept so well!
Cee- good to see you girl! 3 weeks will fly by!
Melanie-you packed yet?
Ok..I"ll bbs!

Good morning!

Cee, you are in the homestretch. It does sound like you're having a big baby, but sometimes those sonograms are a tad off. Iwill be getting my sonogram next Wednesday at 35 weeks. Can't wait to see my baby again!

Melanie, I enjoy turbo jams too, they are very effetive and the time flies by. I am glad your girls are doing GREAT!! It's so rewarding to know that all your effort is paying of.

Susan, that's great news for a 3 week check up, did you start working out already?

Jen, progress, progress, progress... Right on track!

Not much going up here, just having serious heartburn but I have it under control with Pepcid Complete

Waves to everyone

My plaetlets dropped again today & snow is on it's way....

So I"m in the ambulance as I speak! *WOWZERS* I'm really impressed with how fast they got things together. The nurses were so nice...packing me snacks & giving me hugs!!! They were really wonderful.

Should be in my "new home" in about 5 hours.

Chat with you then!

Hi
Melanie-hope you made it to your new bed safely! I hope you like your new nurses there!
Hi to everyone! Not much happening here. Kara is asleep..supper is in the oven. Been storming here all day so I have been lazy. Gave Kara her 2nd real bath and she enjoyed it. The first one she cried the entire time. She goes for her 3 week check up on Tuesday. Im excited to meet the new dr. Did I tell you guys I was NOT impressed at all with the pediatricians here?? so I have changed drs. Anway, I"ll explain later.
Supper was easy peasy..basically did it for Haley. You take biscuit dough..press it out into muffin tins.....fill with sloppy joe meat and top with cheese. I think I am having soup. Ok bbl
Waves to everyone!

Susan.....are you serious? 3 week check up aleady? Wow!!!!!!

I made it here...."settled in" at he new place. It's so weird to look out my window and see super tall buildings...I"m not a city-folk.....used to looking at trees. lol

I feel "safe" here.....especially in light of my platelets being at 30K.

I spoke to my perinatologist this evening....and she's really wonderful......but she seems anxious to get the girls out once my platelets rise......which I'm not happy about.

I start IV IgG tomorrow.....with hopes that it will rise my platelets within 4-5 days.....then we watch them.

If they go down, she'll want to deliver. She's confident that 34 weeks is a good time to deliver them.....and mommy risk will be higher if we don't deliver them.

If they stay stable she will take me off the meds used to prevent labor at 34 weeks ....and will prepare for delivery.

I'm still hopeful to make it to 36 weeks!!!

At any route, I'm in good hands.

Where are all the mommies today? Slow around here......and it's not even the weekend!!!

Melanie-glad youare settled in! So there is a chance you will deliver next week??? wow. I do hope you can wait a few weeks though!!
It is slow around here uh.
I just put Kara down..and Im headed to bed as soon as I get Haley down. Hopefully we'll all get some zz's tonight!
see you tomorrow.

Morning!
HOpe all you wonderful ladies had a good nights sleep!
Melanie-how was your first night??
Jen-any action?? You better beat Melanie!! Have a good long talk with James..tell him its getting close!
We had a good night. I put Kara down at about 830...she got up at 11 and 3 then was up at 5 for an hour. Of course when she gets up it takes an hour to feed, burp, change diapers and get back to sleep..but we are doing good. She has a little reflux so I keep her up on my shoulder for a good 15-30 min after eating..so most of the times we fall asleep like that and I end up putting her to bed 2 hours later!
I put her back in bed at 6 and shes snoozing now. She is so happy in the early mornings. We are all morning people so I hope she stays one too! I plan to study this morning then when she sleeps after lunch I plan to attemp a short workout! I weights 118.4 this morning! Making milk must burn some major calories! I have lost 10 pounds since coming home.
I still think I have a hernia. The area this "thing" is in is nowhere near my urethra. Maybe when I lie down you can't see it...Im giving it 2 weeks to heal more than Im calling the dr again. It doesnt hurt..just looks wicked bad!
Ok Im off to eat and get Haley up and going. bbl
Morning waves to everyone!
Melanie-it will be lonely without you here..I doubt you wil have time to post after the girls arrive :-( you only have 2 hands

Still here and feeling fine! Slept pretty good last night.

Look at you Mel, trying to steal my thunder! LOL ;) I plan on doing some major cleaning and walking this weekend to try and get James here. Maybe I just get used to the discomforts quickly but I don't feel any worse or miserable which worries me that he is going to be late. Well other than the va ja ja pain but I am so used to that now its like my BFF....

Melanie- Happy to hear you made it safely and feel "safe" there. Tell that dr the girls need to bake a little bit longer! At least the end is in sight for you and you are getting some answers. Everything will work out for you, I just know it!

Susan- So now I guess I am in competition with Mel???? ;) No pressure for me! I can't believe its been 3 weeks already!!??? You seem to be just loving this mommy gig and doing great!

Cee- You are right behind me. Or at my rate, you could pass me. I am hoping to ask the dr on Tues what his plans are if James tries to be late. I agree with Priscila, sometimes the u/s are off on the weight.

Hey Priscila! Sorry about the heartburn but I'm glad you found something to help! So far (knock on wood) I haven't had too many issues with it, just indigestion.

Morning to everyone else! I'm sure I'll be back later, not getting much work done at work. Just watching the clock!

Hi Jen glad you slept well and no major complaints! Hope you have a nice day!
For any of you preggos intersted in a sling of some kind I highly recommend the Moby Wrap. I am wearing Kara right now and its SOOOOO comfy! I love it. Cant wait to take Kara trick or treating with Haley in it. My left arm and shoulder get tired quickly from hold her her and this distributes the weight perfectly!

Jen, no competition here.....seriously YOU go first. lol It might be a toss up b/w Cee and me though!!!

Susan, never tried a moby wrap. I did get a weebo front twin carrier. I'm really excited about wearing it. I love to keep my wee-ones close to me.

I'm tired, hormonal & downright crabby today. Did NOT sleep well. I had a resident come in at 3AM and ask my date of last menstraual perod. And at 415AM a nurse wanted to weigh me.:mad: This is in addition to my midnight & 4AM medicine dosing.

Then this AM, lab came in at 530 & I asked her kindly if she would draw blood from my left arm b/c my right arm was really getting bruised up. She got pissed and jabbed the needle in my arm.:mad: I had tears, it hurt bad. Then at about 6 AM the nurse started my IV line......which at this point made me cry......then to find out she blew out a vessel.......and it had to be re-done.:mad:

Sometime around 7AM they came in with my insulin.....which they don't combine here.....which means 2 more shots (not including fasing finger prick).......blah blah blah.....

I'm really crabby.:mad: And tired too.:mad: I wanna go home!!!

Melanie-you have had one rough night/day so far!!!! You are one strong woman..I know that! You have every right to be on the crabby side today!

groooooowwwwwwwlllll.

I just had a nurse ask me, "What's the difference if you deliver today & the babies are in NICU for several weeks versus you on bed rest for three weeks?"

Seriously.

Umm...then maybe this nurse should not be a nurse if she doesn't know the benefits of the girls staying in your belly! I woulda smacked her! (Sorry pregnancy hormones coming out of me!)
