dmsmith/Denise -- Due Date? (It's a girl)

I apologize for not having our new mommies due dates but if you post them, we can add them to our list!

No action here ladies....DH and I went to garage sales yesterday and I walked alot hoping to get something started and nothing. Not even braxton hicks. We hung out at home and then I baked the softest chocolate chip cookies EVER! They are yummy! We might go back out today to some other garage sales because we got some really good deals. We got the Infantino Front to Back sling for $5 which I had registered for and did not get. We also got the Rainforest Musical thingy that soothes baby and has nature sounds for $7 and a plastic play yard for $7. It was mainly stuff that we liked and wanted but particularly didnt NEED.

I actually feel realy good again today so I'm not sure what is going on. I thought I was supposed to feel worse the closer I got to delivery. Does this mean he's hangin out in there longer now???? ;)

Melanie- Sorry about the ear infection and the meds but at least you are getting the best care. And your girls are growing!

Hi Susan! Hope you and Kara are having a wonderful weekend with family!

Hi Christine! How wonderful that your DH did not have to leave. Sure makes your life feel complete with your family around, doesn't it?

Hi to all the other preggos!

Morning!
Jen-thanks for getting us started! So glad you are feeling good. My main complaint at the end was the constant brx hx. I walked, worked out everything to try and get Kara moving a little early...but James is just gonna arrive when hes ready.

Dad is gone. We had a great visit, but Im am very ready to get into my weekly routine.
Kara was up more last night..but it wasnt bad. Haley didnt get home until nearly midnight from the Miley Cyrus concert..so we had a late night. I got up at 6 and feel OK..I might try and get a nap in today. My bleeding is much much less now. I go for my 3 week check next Monday. Wonder what they do on that visit..I can't remember. He better not do too much down there...its still kinda tender.
Tomorrow I MUST get back to reading for my classes if I want to stay ahead. I dont have too much longer and then I will be done and won't have to worry with it!
Gonna make a huge batch of Katepancakes today. I am addicted to them!
also plan to make a pot of soup.
Morning waves to everyone!!! bbl

Good morning ladies! Thanks for getting us started!!

I slept fairly well, but still feel tired....maybe I'll take a nap this AM. I want to work on a soft 'schedule' while I'm here on bedrest. I've read that it's important for the psyche.

Jen, do you remember all the good advise we gave to Susan? Let's see....hot passonate sex, chocolate, ....and my favorite KPC with all the jumps and kicks. That should do it. :D

Susan, I bet you're eager to find out what your natural schedule is without family around.

We should put the momies & their babies on the list too, don't you think?

Good morning everyone,

I spent yesterday painting the girls bathroom -went w/ yellow background w/polka dots. Planning on going shopping today for towels, rugs and a shower curtain. I've found that I just have to stay busy-it keeps my mind off things.

I think I'm starting to get the urge to workout again. Now I'm just wondering when I'll have time. I'm so glad STS cardio has shorter workouts-hopefully that will help.

It's hard getting used to the fact that I need to watch what I eat now. I was eating whatever I wanted. I have 18 pounds to lose.

Susan- did you get alot of stitches? I can still feel the "strings" but I thought they were supposed to be dissolvable. I agree-I hope they don't do too much "down there" at the postpartum check. I avoid wearing my jeans because it just gets too sore.

Jen-your definitely to the point now where you're so close you can taste it. Brooke was 8 days early and Allison would have been 16 days early if they hadn't stopped my labor so you never know.

Melanie- you snuck in on me. Hope you get a nice nap in later. Sorry about the ear infection. Those girls better be good sleepers when they get out-they owe it to their mommy after all she's been through with them:)

Wendy, you sound so energetic!! You'll have to post pics the painted bathroom, sounds adorable! When we moved into our house I re-did the boys bathroom as SpongeBob Squarepants. I'm glad we went with gender neutral....4 kids will be sharing this bathroom! lol

Did someone post about chewy chocolate chip cookies? Hmmmm? Those are only my all time favoirte.:eek: We must never speak of them again. :p

Me! Me! I have the chocolate chip cookies! I wanted one for breakfast!

Thanks for the tips ladies. I know he will come when he's ready, I've been saying that this whole time but now I am excited and being impatient! ;)

Hello ladies! My due date is currently June 28th. That's subject to change though once I have my official visit with the doctor. Nothing much going on at this early date - I'm 4 weeks 6 days now. Did most of you ladies continue working out as usual when you first found out you were pregnant? I'm nervous to do anything until I see that heartbeat on the ultrasound. I'm going to go take a nice hike in a few minutes though so I don't spend the whole weekend on my butt. I was just curious what you all did.

Jen - Naughty girl mentioning those chocolate chip cookies!!! Now I am going to have to make some.

Sounds like you have been a busy girl Wendy!

Melanie - Your due date is my birthday! :)

Susan - Glad you had a good visit with your dad.

I'm feeling lazy today. I don't think I will shower, I just want to lay around.... I read through my mail (10 days worth).....and I might pay bills later. Just haven't decided.

I found some Christmas Cards that I like from Current Catalog. Maybe I'll order them....and a teacher gift. I can hand address all of them while on bedrest! I could work on my Chirstmas letter... and just leave a paragraph out for the girls. But do I want to do that today? Nah.......I think just a lazy day of reading and laying low. ;)

All you energetic women out there.....you rock my world!!!

Amber, your post snuck in on me. :D Is your bday November 19th or December 15th? lol I kinda have "two" due dates. lol

During all my pregnancies (except this one) I continued to workout as able. I was careful not to become anaerobic (out of breathe breathing)...but pretty much kept up with normal routine, adjusting for energy levels.

Somewhere b/w 6-8 weeks fatique hit pretty badly and held on for several weeks. During this time I shortened my exercise duration to 30-40 minutes...or took days off nap.

2nd trimeseter I got more energy (and nausea was gone) so I was able to beef things up again working out closer to my pre-pregnancy duration, and just being careful of HR (not becoming anerobic).

late 2nd trimester-3rd trimeseter I brought my step down to 6" plateform and didn't jump all the kicks during kickboxing. I stopped ab work all together & shortened duration of workouts again.

If you are high risk at all, you'll want to talk to your doctor. I bled during my entire first pregnancy this time, so all workouts were off limits. My "high risk" period never really ended.....so I've been focusing on pregnancy....and looking forward to burning ALOT of sweat calories after this girls arrive!! :D

Melanie - I'm Dec. 15th. :) Thank you for the all the workout information! I bet you will have no problem working off any extra calories chasing after the kiddos. :) My sister has 7 and she calls them her workout routine.

Hi Ladies,
Been a lazy day with family today...Melanie-I know of the lazy feeling you talk about!
Wendy-I have the urge to workout too!! I was thinking of trying something tomorrow. I didnt get stitches this time. My dr was really good about having me push slow etc so I wouldnt tear...I do think I have a tiny tear though..but no stich.
Amber-In the beginning I was careful of working just becuase of 2 previous m/c's. And I felt pretty crappy until week 10. AFter that I pretty much did workouts I normally would do except no high impact. After about month 6 or so my workouts got easier like LIS and MM.....then the last month or so I would walk.....then basicially nothing the last couple weeks.....just didnt feel like it!
Haley has planned a "photo shoot" for me..so gotta go. bbl

Amber, my updated goal due date is November 19th......I'm so grateful that twins mature quicker......I don't want to think about a December delivery!!!...it's been a long ride!! lol

Christine, is your due date still Dec 15th?

Susan, can't wait to see some new photos!

I have been true to my word....haven't done much all day. Just being lazy...and another "day" is almost over. lol

Mornin ladies! 38 wk appt this AM, no change. Doc thinks he will be here close to Nov 9th. Gained 2 lbs which is fine, hopefully James gained it and not me. ;)

Melanie- Glad you had a lazy day yesterday! You deserve it.

Susan- Hope you and Haley had a fun photo shoot!

Hi to everyone else! I'll BBL to check in! Gotta get to work! UGH!

Hi Everyone,

Well I was here yesterday and I wrote a post, but then hit the back button and the post was gone...so I went and took a nap!!

I had a headache all day Friday and Saturday...I never get headaches so I was not happy. I did check my blood pressure b/c I had pretty severe pre-eclampsia with my first, thankfully it was good.

My official due date is April 8th, but with a c-section I suppose it will be the week or so before.

Jen - Please send cookies!

Melanie - How many weeks will you be when the baby girls are delivered?

Susan & Wendy - You gals really seem to have all together!!!! I hope I can do as much as you guys post birth!

I am also worried about my eating habits after the baby, I probably should try to do better now so it won't be so hard.

Amber - What is exercise??? I really had great intentions, and still do but they never seem to fruition!!! I think I have exercised about 3 times in all 16 almost 17 weeks!! Every week I aim for at least 3 days......I don't feel sick anymore but I am still so tired. Where is my burst of energy??? So anyway it is a new week!

Hope everyone's Monday is good!

Kelli

Kelli~ I hate it when I lose my posts. It has happened to me more times than I can count. lol Our goal is to make it to 36 weeks with the girls. 36-38 weeks is target due dates for twins, after that the placenta(s) have trouble nourishing two babies.

Jen~ 'they say' first babies are more likely to make it to the 40-41 week mark --- I know, not what you want to hear at this point in your pregnancy. Has the doctor estimated how big James is now?

Today I'm feeling much more perky. I took a shower, plan on paying my bills here in a couple minutes, then I think I will order my Christmas cards. :p

Hi everyone,

Amber, Congratulations and I want to extend a warm welcome to the forum! My name is Priscila, I'm 35 y/o and pregnant with my first baby (a boy), due in 6 weeks from today.
Reagarding your question, I stopped working out at all due to severe mornig sickness that got me in the hosptal twice but I wish I could've kept with it. If your body allows it, keep working out and just modify big time (no risers on step workouts, walking on an incline, swimming maybe) etc...

Jen, Nov 9th is not far at all, I haven't felt any braxtons lately but my belly looks lower. I will get a sonogram on the 4th. I forgot to tell you that I love your belly cast pics (already finished) I saw they have the kit on babies R us (online only).

Christine, thanks for offering to help. We hired a private inspector to do a formal inspection next monday. I'm a bit stressed out beacuse the sales representative said something like.. you don't really need to spend more money doing that, we have our quality control inspector and we don't really go by what the private inspector says beacuse sometimes they don't go by our building codes.. fishy I know

Melanie, good job on keeping your blood sugar on target, you have less than month to go!

Kelli, I hate when I lose a post, sometimes I'm typing too fast and voila It's gone...EGRRR

Susan, how did the photo shoop go??

Wendy, I am getting Cathe's Shock Cardio as well, I think it's gonna be great to get us all back in shape.

Hi to all the preggo ladies and new mommies too!!

Priscila- I get some Brx Hicks here and there but nothing really in the last week or so. Dr said that James is posterior which means the back of his head is on my back so I am hoping he turns soon so I don't have painful back labor. Are you going to do a belly cast? I saw some kits at Burlington Coat Factory, don't know if you have one near you???

Melanie- No I didn't ask dr today but he said two weeks ago that he estimates James will be right at 8lbs...maybe. I don't mind if he waits...I just want him healthy. Yay for feeling perky! Hope you get a lot done! I want to go home and clean tonight...nesting must be kicking in.

Kelli- I wouldn't worry too much about exercise/eating. I ate healthy about 85% of the time and really relaxed on my eating for my pregnancy. For me, my body tells me when it's sick of junk food and will crave fruits and veggies so I just went with it. I didn't have m/s real bad like some of the other ladies but I was just too tired to workout. For me, if I don't feel it, then I don't do it.

I did Melanie (pre-order that is) I guess I will be using it to lose the pregnancy weight. Maybe it will be out by then. ;)

Priscila - Thank you for the welcome!

Kelli - Glad to know I'm not alone on the exercise drought! ;) Hopefully that energy will kick in soon! :)

Jen - Wow, not much longer to go at all!!!
