Preggo's Aug 30-Sept 5

Hi Jen! I hope work can let up a bit for you. Thanks for the kind words on resting. I did do alot this AM, but took a long nap early afternoon. I"m about to go downstairs (stairs + my big belly = difficulty breathing) and tackle the kids playroom. I have a playdate on Friday & don't want to be turned into social services.:eek:

Melanie- Your comment made me smile. Thanks, I needed that. I decided to come home and DO NOTHING! My week has been hectic/stressful and it is nice to just surf the net and watch mindless TV. I know how it feels to do too much and I worry about you. :)

Jen, I"m glad I could make you smile. :D I wish we lived closer & could do lunch sometime; you're a real cool chick!!! I wish we could ALL go to the park and just chat,....wouldn't that be fun?!?!

I'm wired to be "a doer", it's my personality. I have trouble feeling good about myself, unless I know that I've been productive. Honestly, just being home is much better b/c I do rest on the bed several times throughout the day...if even for 10 minutes.

I"m back to work tomorrow. With any luck,...just 12 more shifts left until my I get my "doctor's note". The countdown begins!!!!!!!

I have my new size "10" shoes, hopefully that'll make a difference. :)

Hi Ladies!
Sorry I didnt check on you girls yesterday. I was VERY tired due to no sleep Tuesday night and read a couple chapters and just was a slug!
Last night I slept more and feel sooooo much better today! No workout yesterday and today I plan on doing something..just not sure what yet.
Today I plan on finishing a chapter in Sociology and study for a quiz in ARt. My mom is coming for the long weeekend so I know I won't study for a few days.
I took Haley to the eye dr yesterday for a check up. Why do kids WANT glasses and braces???? I remember I did. I have worn glasses since I was about 5. Much to Haley's disappointment, her eyes are perfect! She takes after Paul thank goodness! Im pretty sure she'll get her wish for braces though. Both Paul and I had them.

Time for breakfast. I will get to personals later!!

Melanie- I think of that all the time how nice it would be for us to get together in real life. I talk about you guys to DH like you are my "real life friends." :)

Susan- I'm sorry you didn't sleep good the other night. I'm glad you were able to get more rest last night. It really takes a toll on us right now... I remember wanting braces and glasses too. Don't really know why?????

I slept like a rock last night and only got up to pee once. What a record! I'm starting to feel overwhelmed at work with all the things I have to do but I am learning to take it one task at a time. And it would probably help if I stayed off of here. ;)

Hope all the other wonderful girls are doing well!

Hi Jen! So glad you got some sleep last night! Doesnt it feel goo to be rested! Sorry work is stressful..like you said one task at a time..thats all you can do! When do you go back to the dr?

Mel-I hope your day goes well! Im glad you got a good nap yesterday!

Christine-I hope your house sells quickly so you and dh can be together. We had to do the "come home on weekends" for a few months too. It was tough and I wasnt pregnant..so I know you are stressing. Hang in there. I hope Jimmy loves school!

Hi Pricialla, Allison, Wendy, Dawn, bunekek,....hope I didnt leave anyone out..sorry if I did!

I ended up doing a Firm this morning. 34 weeks today!! Im headed to dry my hair and settle down to study. I"ll check back in later!

Hi all,
I am sorry to be so sporadic in getting messages and personals out. I am exhausted right now. So much for energy. Exercise is almost impossible with teh heat and ash in the air. And I have officially lost my ability to handle the house and DH away thing. I am crying all the time and not able to sleep. My son is excited about his first day at preschool next week, so that is good, although I will miss him. He is the one thing holding me together right now. Even though I am insanely frustrated with him sometimes.
I am nauseated, almost like mornign sickness, again. ANy time I eat, I get really queasy. I am hoping it is just the heat. I am finally starting to gain more weight, which kind of stopped while the stress got higher. Anyhow, not to be a downer, I am just not handling life too well right now. I wish my hubby could understand what I am going through.
Off to build train tracks before son's nap.

Christine~ You sound miserable. :( Hang in there, it will get better,....I promise. I too have experienced the house on the market deal....we lived over 5 hours from our other house & continued to maintain it for over a year,...while I worked 60+ hours/week & we took care of our 3 kids. We don't have any family around,....so we had our lionshare of work. I pray for your house to sell quickly for a great price!!!! Oh.......my nausea has returned now and again. I still vomit once a week or so. :( Mine is due to surplus of hormones.....yours probably stress related. (hugs)(hugs)

I talked ot a scheduler about getting a cashier for an hour on Saturday. I"m going to be pharmacy tech-less for about 2 hours this Saturday....and I'm unable to reach the prescription bags on the lower bottom shelves b/c my belly is so big. They agreed to get help for me. Too bad I had to beg...I was prepared to get a dr's letter if need be.

I have a "mommy date" in AM. 2 girlfriends are coming over,....one agreed to paint my toes. :D

Well.....I'm off to cuddle with my boys. Night Night!

Christine, I hope your house sells quickly. I don't envy your position. Hugs to you.

I have a registry question...
I still have DD's crib/toddler bed mattress, since we just put her in her big kid bed in August. So the mattress is 3 years old. Does it need to be replaced, or can we keep using it?

Hi everyone,

At Dr's apt yesterday, I found out I was one centimeter dilated and 80% effaced. The baby's head is quite low and in a nice downward position for a vaginal delivery, per the doc. Woo-hoo! Of course, the doc still said he expected the delivery date to be at the end of the month. Some other people I told, including my nurse mom, said the baby could arrive any day. We'll have to see.

Christine, so sorry to hear about your frustrations. Remember, you don't need to be super mom. When your son is in preschool, maybe let the dusting and cleaning go for a bit and just let yourself cry or take a long nap. If we were all closer, we'd be in there helping you out. Wendy, too, I hope your dad feels better soon.

Priscilla, I'm glad you were able to find a prenatal class. I really do feel more prepared having taken them. I even signed up for a breastfeeding and infant CPR class for next week.

Susan, Melanie, and everyone, I hope you can find time to really rest. I'm finding that a 30-minute power nap is doing the trick for me these days. I work in a large gov't building with a library. Yesterday, I went there and fell asleep for exactly 30 minutes. I'm not sure how silly I looked curled up in a chair, but I actually felt much better afterwards.

Have a great day, everyone!
Dawn

Morning!
Chrsitne-Im so sorry for what you are going through!! I know its tough but all you can do is hang in there and go with the flow of things. It will get better and you and dh will be back together soon. Hang tight girl!

Dawn-whoohooo...great news from the dr! It can happen anytime, however, I was dialted at 1cm for weeks!!! Even when my water broke I was still at 1...so don't get your hopes up, but be ready just in case! I wouldnt survive without my cat naps everyday. All I need is 20-30 min and I feel soooooo good afterwards! Keep up those naps!

Allison-not sure about the mattress. Did it have a warranty? I know friends that have used mattresses for all of their kids over many years. Im all about a comfy bed, so if it were me I would probalby replace it though.

Melanie-have fun with the other moms! Im glad you will have help at work!! Do you feel the twins move a lot?

I had a dream that Kara was a Smurf!!! and she wouldnt nurse. How weird it that!
I plan on doing LIS this morning.

Morning Jen, Wendy!

Ok off to get Haley to school and Bubbles to the groomer! bbl

Allison, as long as the mattress is in good condition I would re-use it. My boys just graduated into big-boy beds and I plan on using one matress in twin's crib....but the other one was in such bad shape we had duct tape on it to keep it together. LOL The one we are re-using is at least 10 years old but in good solid condition.

Dawn, you're in launching position! Yippie!!!

One of my mommy friends backed out of our get together. :( I still have one person who is supposed to come....but I get really discouraged by having a long history of friends who back out of things.:mad:

Great news, Dawn! With DD, I was 2 cm dilated, 70% effaced for weeks. Due date was April 10; OB told me I'd deliver by 3/25. I delivered on 4/10 -- he really got my hopes up for an early delivery!!

Melanie, sorry your friend bailed. I hate it when that happens.

Susan, a Smurf?! LOL!

My 2nd friend didn't show up.:mad: People do not realize the work that goes into preparing for a visit....especially when 25 weeks pregnant & tired.:mad:

Melanie-how rude!!!! Im sorry your friends didnt show up. Did they call to cancel??

Allison-yup a smurf..haha..don't know where that came from!

I did do LIS. I have already had my nap and Im about to eat lunch a study for a bit. Exciting day uh!

:mad:One lady e-mailed me this AM with a rather lame excuse. And the other one called me 20 minutes after she was supposed to be here to say, "I don't feel like visiting today". When I asked her if everything was okay, she said it was...then she said she wanted to re-schedule & I said okay then & hung up.:mad: I don't know if it's my hormones, but I just wanted to cry & wring both of their necks!!! LOL

Melanie-that really sucks! Some people!!! Wish I could come visit.....but I couldnt paint your toenails...Im not a feet person!:p

LOL Susan. I'm just going to take the toenail polish off---it's too hard to maintain & I normally take off for winter. :p

DH offered to paint mine...but Im doing what you are..Im just going natural. I do however, shave my legs everyday, so Im "ready"

I've only been shaving my legs......after having a mishap trying to shave the bikini area a few weeks ago.

Well,....I guess I"m going to take the kids to the park to rider their bikes along the fancy bike trail. I told them I wasn't going to b/c they didn't pick up their cars after asking for 2 hours,......but I guess I've softened up a bit. There's only so many days of summer left & I don't want to stay home and pout.:confused:
