I am just crying so bad! he is laying in my lap right now in a blanket and the vet said he should be ok by the afternoon but not to let him run around and play and call back this afternoon to let him know how he is doing. He ate some canned puppy food and some water and ate some karo syrup on his own and now sleeping peacefully, but you never know with this he can be ok one minute and crashing the next. Oh the stress!!! I am ready to scream, I ask myself why I breed dogs for, I have such a tender heart and take their deaths and illness so hard.

Oh Leslie....its those of us so tenderhearted about animals that makes this so difficult. Ask anytime and I will prayer for you and that adorable puppy. You will both be on my mind...:)....a big hug too...Carole

Thank you so much:) The puppy is still not doing to good, I am taking him into the vet, we think he had a reaction to the vaccinations he had and they are going to give him another shot to counter act that shot he got yesterday. The poor little guy can hardly open his eyes at all. His breathing is fast and labored also. Been keeping him still most of the morning and not letting him out of his kennel but to go potty. Will let you know how it goes at the vet this afternoon

Leslie,

I'm definitely thinking of you and your puppy! I hope that he starts to recover soon. I can't imagine how tiny he must be. Maybe his age will be an advantage, though, because younger dogs (and people for that matter) seem to be more resilient!

Hang in there!

I had a tiny puppy that struggled with hypoglycemia, too. We had to put honey on her lips in the mornings for a while, because her sugar went too low when she slept. Eventually the vet gave us a food supplement to help with the problem. She just licked a little right out of the tube as soon as she woke up and voila! No more problems. It only lasted a short time, until she got a little bigger, and everything worked out just fine. We still have her and love her to pieces. Hope the same will be true for you.

Your little pup is in my prayers tonight. Just think positive and give that baby all the love it needs. Wish I could give you medical advice, but I can't.
Best to you and your puppy!!!
