PP Week of 1/25/09

Hi! Well, I will keep STS. I even took it out of the box to look at it;). Then, I shelved it. It's TOO tempting!

Trish-What you have ( a little ball popping out, but sometimes goes in) sounds like what I had. After my c/s I noticed this lump that was more noticeable when I was standing. Even going into surgery, the surgeon (who is a hernia expert) couldn't tell if it was a hernia or a lipoma (benign, fatty tumor). But, when he did poke around right before the surgery, and I coughed, it hurt like nothing I felt before!!! That's when he said it was probably a hernia. The recovery (pain wise) is fast, but it hurts like a son of a bee at first!!! I can now pick up Big Aidan again.

Kate-Aidan is almost 4 months-he was born on oct. 7th. He is 16-17 pounds, and he also nurses like it's going out of style! I love Costco as well. I can literally walk to one:). He cries like I'm hurting him everytime he gets in the carseat also! As soon as the car starts, he goes to sleep.

Hi Lisa, Candra! Welcome Joy! HEllo to everyone else!
-Jen

trish, whats on tap for weekend fun?

jen, you'll be sts'ing before you know it!:D

Today I am going to do hiit on the eliptical:) Then I need to clean my house:mad: I hope everyone enjoys your Saturday home with your babies. I was so happy to lay in bed with Ryder this morning without having to get up for school! I can't wait for summer!!!

Candra

Kate - Aw, thanks..I will give Pomai a squeeze for you! How is the vc? I'm jealous I must admit! I was up early this morning also and I'm tired. Now the two older kids are already fighting...sounds like a long day ahead. :s

Trish - I'm probably going to end up walking today also. Seems like a good compromise...I get exercise and the kids get out.

Jen - Wow, Aidan is a big boy! My dd is a little peanut compared to him! She weighed over 12lbs yesterday at her 3 mo appt and 23.5" long.

Candra - I love the sleeping in and not doing the bus routine too!

I am pooped and its only 7:50am here. I have my sister's baby shower tomorrow that I have to run errands for today as well. I would love to squeeze in a workout now so it could help me get going, but I think I'm going to have to wait until the afternoon. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hi ladies.

Yesterday I did DrillMax Scrambled cardio premix and today I did 4DS Kickbox and Bootcamp 53 min cardio premix. I probably overdid it today, but my husband was home and held Zoey so I wanted to take advantage of it.

Tomorrow is a rest day but I might get some pilates or yoga in.

Jen, glad you're keeping STS. I get mine Monday. I am excited about that abs dvd. I will probably throw it in here and there until I am ready to do the actual rotation.

Kate, sorry your LO slept poorly. I am still trying to figure Zoey out. I look forward to sleeping!

Candra, hope you had fun at home today too. I had to clean up a bit too. It is nice having both myself and my husband home...so much more gets done!

candra, i feel the exact same way. i love not having to do the a.m. rush!
do you have help driving for preschool or do you have to take baby out every time? my fil helps occasionally and its wonderful! i hateto ask tho. im not good at asking for help - even when i really need it.

becky-good workouts! I would definitely take advantage of having your dh hold the baby.

Kate-I do all the driving! Owen goes MWF so those days I have two schools to go to b/c Wilson does not ride the bus. I feel like I am always driving the kids somewhere. Baseball season is starting soon and each boy has two games a week:eek:

Lisa-my boys had a friend over today and there was constant bickering

Mike and I are going out tonight w/Ryder. His parents are going to watch the older boys.

Hi ladies--

Busy weekend for me--I need to sneak in some triceps work tonight with ds 14. Doc said he had Osgood-schlatters disease yesterday--a common bummer for growing boys--physical therapy is suggested and here's my chance to bug dh for a spinning bike when we get our tax refund:p.

Today my home school moms w/special needs kids group met for breakfast and a wonderful woman from our church who has loads of experience working with special needs kids in the public schools came to talk to us--what a plethora of good information! God is good!

Candra--Gwen is eating some solids--we started about a week ago--we do it about once per day. Enjoy your date!

Kate--I cannot wait to do plyo legs!

Trish--I can't imagine my dh going to Iraq and for so long. (((hugs and prayers))) Thank him for his service to our country. How long is he in the military for? Is it a career for him or is civilian life an option at some point? Keep us posted.

Jen--I think you made the right decision to keep STS;). Now here's to a speedy recovery.

Lisa--enjoy the smallness of little Pomai--Gwen hit the 12lb mark at about 2 weeks and now she's closing in on 20. She's almost the size of my dd3.

Becky--I get my STS on Monday as well. I ordered about 10 minutes after the pre order started last year, but I live in Oregon and didn't pay for 2nd day air...

Hi Joy and everyone!

Good morning ladies!

I'm at work, clearly working too hard for my own good - LOL!

Last night, we went to my niece's basketball games - she's a basketball cheerleader. It was such a blast. (I was a cheerleader in high school and I will always miss it) Krista (my 5 year old) and I cheered along with them and had a great time!

Kaylee (8 month old) had trouble falling asleep last night, so I let her sleep in my bed. (She wasn't fussy, just wide awake!) She used to co-sleep until about 2 weeks ago, so we snuggled all night and she slept great. I was still NOT ready to get up this morning!

I have been lazy the last couple days, so tonight I'm doing a Cathe workout for sure!!!

Joy

Snuggling is wonderful! Kaylee started day care 3 weeks ago, so I lost my snuggler while I'm at work. Course, my productivity has understandably increased by a significant amount!! :D
