Hi All,

I have never heard of the Powerstrike videos, and was wondering what are they like ? How do they compare to Cathe's workouts ?
Where can you buy them ? Do they have a web site ?

Many thanks

Anna

Hi Anna! There website is www.powerstrike.com ! This kickboxing tape is fun with alot of arm drills and kicks! I really like it because you can't zone -it makes you want to learn the combinations! It's right up there with Cathe! Plus it's a different aerobic approach that I find effective when I don't want to do stepping ,or I'll do this after a heavy day of upper body training to keep the area loose! Also I like to add it to my rotation for variety! There are alot of powerstrike fans on this forum--they'll be chiming in too!Your friend in fitness~~Francine

I have both Powerstrike Millenium 1 & 2. They're both low impact, but high intensity drill-oriened kickboxing workouts that are right up there in intensity with Cathe. #2 contains more side kicks I'd say whereas #1 contains more front to back kicks, but both are pretty similiar. However, #1 definitely makes me more sore. It contains a back lunge sequence that usually leaves me walking funny for about 2-3 days. In fact I did #1 on Thursday and today (Sunday) is the first day my hamstrings and rear-end arent too sore.

I love Powerstrike! It is my absolute favorite low impact cardio tape. It's the only workout I've found that I actually like to do (I hate traditional hi/lo) that gets my heart rate up there without jumping around.

Hi Anna,
I have both Powerstrike videos and use them on days when I don't feel like doing high impact cardio. They start with the basic punches like jab, cross, & hook and build up in speed and combinations. They go onto the leg kicks... starting slow then building up speed and adding kick and punching combinations. I think the videos do a good job of working many different muscle groups in one workout.

I bought my set from cksales.com (1-877-438-3480). They are located in Canada and were less expensive than powerstrike.com due to the exchange rate.

Hey Stacy...I totally agree with video #1 and the back lunges. I made the mistake of doing it right after PowerHour last week and I had to take the next two days off because I was so sore. Those back lunges are killers. :-tired
