Powerstrike Frustrations

Hi all,

I recall a that there was a thread not long ago discussing the slow communications from the Powerstrike people after placing an order. I just want to see if there are any others out there who have had to wait a bit for the video... I placed my order on Wednesday Aug 28th, and on that day I recieved an email saying that they would notify me again when they've processed my order and that email would include a FedEx tracking number. Well, I have heard nothing since then and still have no videos! It's been 10 days now. I'm getting frustrated and am wondering - has anyone else out there waited this long for the Powerstrike videos? Guess I'm just worried that they'll never come. I certainly paid way too much for shipping for it to take this long. I hope these videos are worth it...

Have you tried emailing them with your concerns? Their email is [email protected]. They will respond, usually within 24-48 hrs to emails.

Hope you get your vids soon - IMO they are worth it! I guess we've all gotten spoiled with SNM's suberb customer service which is just unparalleled anywhere else!

I had a problem with them too. I ordered Powerstrike Millenium 2 last week but they sent me Millenium 1 instead. I e-mailed them saying that I wanted the video I ordered but that I'd taken off the shrink wrap before I realized it was the wrong video. I never got a response. Luckily I like Millemiun 1 so I'm not that angry. They cost the same so I'm not any extra money.

But it ticks me off that they would screw up and then ignore me.

I really like the workout though. It's the best low impact high intensity workout I've found.

I did email them yesterday but still have not heard back from them. It's good to know that they are excellent videos. Once I get them I'll be happy and forget this happened I'm sure, but for the moment I am so irked at them!
 
After seeing the video, it's kind of easy to see why their customer service is so crappy. It's the lowest budget workout video I've ever seen. The instructors even screw up. It's a great workout and it feels like being in a real class (screwups and all) but they obviously spent no money making Millenium 1.

And once they found out about it, they overnight shipped my vids to me. And guess who I talked to on the phone? None other than Patricia Moreno herself. (You'll see who she is when you do the workout.) I think they're just a real small group handling this production. Once you get the tape you'll be a happy camper. (I can't believe, now, that I actually talked to her the phone :-jumpy).

We as consumers should not have to put up with poor customer service.They never e mailed me back with my questions as I am in different country and rates for shipping are more.I ordered through ck sales( excellent Canadian company)Yes they are good videos but I someone lost my respect for the Powerstrike people.Cathe is definetly in a league of her own.Excellent videos-outstanding customer service and a very intelligent business women.

Well, I did hear back from them finally and since then their communications have been very good. It turns out that they were temporarily out of stock of Millenium II so they wouldn't be able to ship it until today (Monday 9/9). I just let them know that an email would have been nice in the first place. The thing that bothers me the most is the exorbitant shipping costs. I don't mind waiting for the videos (so long as I know I'm going to have to wait) as long as I don't have to shell out 8 dollars for shipping! I'd say I have definitely been patient with them. I just think they may have gotten in over their heads and need more help in processing and shipping orders. Just my opinion.

Anyway, still excited to try 'em!
 
I am going to NYC to buy Powerstrike videos... ARE THEY REALLY THAT BAD QUALITY????
i hated Weights First because of the UGGGGGLY background..
do u have Mil 1 or 2 ??? just curious
and if u were to buy one which one would you choose??
 
I have Millenium 1& 2. I think 2 looks like more fun also more challenging, but 1 would be better for an intermediate like me to begin with. The intensity level is "up there" with Cathe's Cardio Kicks but these tapes have less choreographed footwork. More punching/arm drills. Don't know if you can get them in person. Did you e-mail them about that?

You're so lucky you can go to NYC. Can you visit Cathe's Studio in Jersey? So jealous!

I read somewhere that you can buy them at Equinox gyms in NYC. The quality is terrible in Mil 1. I ordered 2 but they sent me the wrong video and never responded to my e-mails so I'm stuck with 1. I like it so I'm complaining. Most people prefer 2 though but I don't know why.

It's not ugly like WF (know you mean about that one!) because it's set in a real gym. I find it a bit charming in a weird way. It's like being in a real class. The instructors make mistakes. There are people walking around in the background.
 
That's it! I have simply had it with those Powerstrike folks. They promised me (after I emailed them trying to get a status on my order) that they would ship my videos over a week ago since they were out of stock at the time I placed my order. It has now been over 2 weeks since I ordered and still nothing. I don't care how great these videos are, I'm finished. I wrote them requesting either the refund of the shipping costs, or the complete cancellation of my order. I'll happily wait another week as long as I pay nothing for shipping.

On the UPSIDE, those intensity DVD's look like they will ROCK!!
 
FINAL update...

Well, for all my badmouthing of the service I recieved from Powerstrike, I feel it's only fair to share the good news as well. After my last email, they did indeed ship the video along with a check for the total amount of the video + shipping. Basically they gave me the video for free in an effort to rectify the situation. I have to say, that makes everything better indeed! ;-) Anyway, just wanted to share... I know they really must care about the satisfaction of their customers if they would do this for me.

OMG - I am so glad it worked out for you. I didn't catch this thread until now and was reading the first posts with great dismay! Good to hear it all worked out. I just wish the new videos would come out soon though.

Well, the video came today and I finally did it! I have to say that I really enjoyed the workout. It was super low-impact which give my poor tootsies a much needed break, but I still felt like a got a great workout in. Btw, now I know what you all mean about doing the "sceeezors" ;-)... those 2 are just too cute. Yep - this one's going in on rotation for awhile. Not quite as intense as Cathe's Cardio Kicks, but fun just the same!

Julie, when I read Lizzie's frustration, I too was like.."Ahhh Ohhh" but happy that it all worked out too.

It's real easy once you get the workouts to cut the women some slack;-). Yeah, they don't have a top notch ordering department..hehehe..been on the end of that wait myself;-)...but once you get the workouts...all is forgiven LOL.

And I thank every day that I caved to Julie's ranting and raving about the powerstrike workouts a year or two ago;-):7.
