PowerHour just royally kicked my A**!!!!!

Gad you guys..I'm sitting here, trembling all over and sweating like a pig after just doing PH for the first time!! It beat me UP TOTALLY!

For the first time, I cussed at Cathe..during the 2nd second of dumbell lunges..I cursed her like Ozzy curses!! During the upper body work, I literally had to drop my weights a couple times, I just failed out! This has NOT happened to me before on MIS, PS, S&H or Leaner Legs which I just got too!

I guess I overestimated myself and used too heavy a barbell and weights this time around. Thanks Cathe for the humbling experience...I think. :)

Now I'm wondering if Muscular Endurance will be as horrific...I'm hoping so. :)
 
Congrats on doing Power Hour! I'm still awaiting the DVDs, but I suspect Muscle Endurance will be tougher. It's longer, the weights are heavier a bit, and there's more leg work! I feel like such a wuss when I do PH. 15# for biceps and it totally fatigues me everytime. And I feel so elated once Cathe reaches the tris section, and then I realize that that section is pretty tough and I shouldn't have relaxed so soon. Have fun!

Good Job!!! you can't under estimate Power Hour its' a toughie, I got tremendous results when I did a 3 week rotation. Keep up the good work ;o)

Congrats on making it through! I love that workout.

My hubby just did it today for the first time. He didn't say much afterwards (he usually runs on the treadmill and can't be bothered with tapes), but he looked pretty pooped!

Power Hour always kicks my butt. But I have done Muscle Endurance once and I actually think it is easier. It's because the body parts worked are mixed more thoroughly, I think. I always think PH is difficult because you go straight from warm up (mostly legs) to squats to plie squats. By then I'm already exhausted and I've barely gotten started!

This is my second time doing it, amd I'm easing into it with lighter weights, doing one set of some exercises, etc.. I also skip the tricep extension w/ the barbell because they're painful and I'd probably know myself out. I never do them on on any tape, with dumbells or a barbell.

My whole body is shaking. I just told my workout buddy that if I spoke I'd have a tremble in my voice like Katherine Hepburn!

PowerHour is pretty darn humbling after youve been doing strength work for so long, isn't it?? Whole new beast. I just hate that burn that endurance work gives you, you know the one, where it feels like your whole body is aching..

I am so much a strength gal myself. Prefer it any day..

Well girls I've certainly learned my lesson..never overestimate yourself when you do a new Cathe! (well new to me anyway!)

Janice I'm back to 6wks of strength building, starting tomorrow, but I'll tell you the next time I try old PH, it'll be my bodybar, NOT a barbell and I'll use nothing heavier than 10lb dumbells!

I'm really looking foward to lifting heavy again!
 
Oh, Mindy, congratulations. PH is a DRAGON.
And by the way, those lunges are also my favorite, too!!

Keep PH in your rotation. The day you have to go up
on your weights will be a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I just did PH tonight after taking a month off. My legs were shaking so much, I couldn't do the lunges. Oh, well I'm sure I'll be back up to speed soon enough. I love PH! With the way the workout flows and the music it's a great tape!

I did PH for the first time since Oct 8. Man, I forgot how tough it is. I was wimping out big time.

Ok, y'all I'm REALLY sick, because I'm splitting this tape into an upper and lower body workout to use on alternate days w/ cardio!

I did my first upper body split today and my upper body was shaking like a leaf afterwards. I hope I'm not to sore to tackle the lower body section tomorrow.

I see an addiction forming... I LOVE this tape!

LOL if you feel like a wuss, I am using 8# for biceps and can barely make it through. Jeez and I thought I was doing so well :)
 
Thanks guys!

I just finished a S&H and CTX rotation and next week I'll do circuit max, power hour, IMAX, kick box ---- PH has be scared!! I havent done it in ages !
