Post your LMR reviews :D

Looking forward to seeing people's reviews of the workouts.

Turns out I allowed my OnDemand subscription to lapse, so now I'm on the fence as to whether I want to re-sub or just go back to purchasing DVDs again.

I've got LMR on my holiday wish list, so fingers crossed someone in my family decides to gift me with the set.

Otherwise, weighing if it's worth it to re-sub. If I luck out with another coupon, it's potentially $200-ish for a year. Would be less expensive to just buy a couple DVD sets, especially since I've already got a pretty healthy chunk of other Cathe DVDs on hand, too.

OnDemand was nice, though - I got to try out several workouts that I was not sure about and realized I liked them. I also liked the Workout Blender. Did not like it when I had odd internet issues on occasion in the middle of a workout, though.

So far, there's a couple of reviews - Functional TB & UB. Aquagirl has them in her hands now - expect she may share some too. Hoping those with downloads & dvds received will share a few tidbits to keep us in-the-know while we await our packages or On-Demand.

Ok, I have previewed Functional Core, & Pilates. A lot of new different exercises in each
of these…Core uses stability ball & the bonus uses mini ball (couple with stab ball too)
there are a few exercises that I’ll skip (probably). I do believe my favorite so far is
the Total Body..a lot of neat combos, etc in it. I quickly am just skipping thru chapters
getting a feel for the exercises, etc. So far, everything is chaptered really good and
these will work great in the blender and for dvd users that skip chapters, and use
programming function. So far I am pleased with what I have seen. Oh, some good
modifications too on some exercises, shorter reps on most, and so far I have seen
several weight plate exercises….also I love mermaids, and I think in Pilates, there is
another Mermaid option with the roller. Also, in the ones I have looked over, there is
no step for weight bench at all…..everything on the floor…. I like that option too, if
you don’t wanna drag out the step.

Ok, so I flew thru the Upper Body one, and like the looks of that one too! Some neat
combos and tubing is used in this one as well. Sorry, reviews aren’t very specific, but
I am just checking discs, previewing exercises at this point. I think the bonus
upper body balance disc one will be fun, Jenn shows options for one disc on some
moves, and no discs on several exercises.

I have done the Functional Barre Fusion and the bonus Upper Body Foam rolling. I felt under the weather, so they were about right for my body today. I just wanted to touch base with my body, not looking for much more than that. The movements were less demanding than other barre workouts, and the pace was slower. For days like today, these are quite welcome. I also did Functional Mobility Fusion and the Low Impact Cardio. I enjoyed both, and see them being used more often than the Barre Fusion. So far, I see these are what I was promised: workouts for days I want a gentler routine. I can use them for those R&R days. Tomorrow I will try the lower body Fusion. I hope we see the guide soon.

I have tried both Functional Core Fusion workouts, & both balance disc bonus workouts from Upper Body & Lower Body. The Core one is awesome! Lots of variety, modifications if needed, & fun moves. I really felt more weakness in my lower back than I expected. I love the extra concentration required in the Core Bonus, & the increase in intensity.

I was particularly looking forward to the balance ones, & these were a challenge as expected, but a total blast at the same time. I felt my ankles, shins & calves working from the start. I also felt my wrists really working in the Upper Body one too. All in a good way! I also noticed my core immediately kicked in with the balance work. I assumed the exercise where you balance sitting on the disc would be an easier one but nope! It's just as challenging as all the others. It did feel odd to put my feet on the ground after being on the discs. Cathe made a comment about that as well. The cast looks like they are having so much fun! Love them! I absolutely LOVE the workouts I've done so far in this series.

I've only done the upper, lower and total body DVDs so far. A generalization would be that this is an easier version of Lite: :) Usually only one round of exercises, lighter weights and less reps. The bonus disc work challenged me the most. Definitely an area I need to work on.

The music is just ok. I will probably notice it even more once I repeat the workouts. Definitely not my favorite but not a big concern with these types of routines. I really like a good beat and better tunes for cardio.

Can't wait to see how she uses this series as stand-alone and with other programs once the user guide is published.

Interesting. I thought it was easier also but then thought the focus/purpose was different. I think of LITE's SBSS as strength and endurance  building if you work on increasing the weight used, but find I can only increase so far before it becomes too cardiovascular if I keep the same pace - so concluded it's more endurance based. LM&R strength I see as maybe maintaining strength, and as a Metabolic Weight Training workout. The weights are too light and the volume too low for muscular strength or endurance building. Maybe again useful while coming back from an injury or illness, just getting started, or for a deload week after lifting heavy for awhile.

I'm also very interested in seeing the User Guide to have a better understanding of how to incorporate these into my regular workouts. It'll also be interesting to see how Cathe incorporates them into the posted monthly rotations this next year.

I agree!!! Really enjoying the workouts I’ve done so far.

Ok, so, I've been thru all of the workouts, previewing, checking, practicing, etc. and my overall impression
is that I really like them alot! Alot of variety using alot of different "toys"......some new moves and neat
combos............alot of modifications given & shown..........there are some exercises that I won't attempt, for
one reason or the other, either I don't feel that I can do them, or just prefer not too, but most definitely more
that I will do than not. Grade: A+

I've done the Pilates Fusion, the Core Fusion and the Upper Body workouts. I enjoyed all of them--especially loving the functional fitness aspect. As someone stated earlier, they are excellent for when a gentler workout is needed and that fits the bill right now while I pick and pack orders at the warehouse for our Christmas rush. I can also see them as excellent recovery workouts after some heavier training. Of course, at some point, I will up the weights for more challenge when I feel inclined to do so.
One of my coworkers who is unfamiliar with Cathe and is not as 'hardcore' as many of us, purchased the series. It will be interesting to hear what she thinks.

I’ve had OnDemand for about 6-weeks, and I’ve never seen the workout blender. There is no icon for it. Where are you seeing it?

I just did Functional Total Body plus the Anytime Mobility Bonus. I absolutely LOVE this entire workout, instant favorite. I did go a little lighter as I do for every new workout but still got a great exercise session. I will definitely go heavier next time. The variety is wonderful, there are plenty of modifications & the music is nice. I love the focus on compound movements, one of my favorite types of exercise. I feel relaxed yet energized.

How are you viewing OnDemand? Laptop (computer, etc. thru the website or thru the
app? Thru the app, after you sign it, at the bottom you will see “shared” workouts.
tapping that will show your blender workouts you have created. BUT…you can only
use the blender to actually blend workouts thru their website…..From home page,
click on streaming, click my account & sign in…..then you will see the option for
workout blender at the top. Click on that & you will be in the blender and can begin
to blend workouts….after you finish, give it a name & save…. Then if you go to your
device that you use the app with, open that & click on the shared workouts, the blender
workout that you created will be there. There is a tutorial on her website explaining
how to use the blender. HTH…

I did upper and lower body workouts, and the bonuses using the balance discs. so far, I find this series fun! It’s not challenging, but does leave the body happy to have moved. Certainly it will be great to reach for one of these workouts when I need to back down a bit. I think having these will encourage me to accept those days when i should back down. The upper body balance bonus was not working for me as I am healing a slight sprain in my wrist. So I will put that aside until the wrist improves. I use push up bars when on my knees these days, but clearly that’s out for balance discs.

I totally agree! These are perfect for me for those days when I still want a good workout, but my body is needing something a little calmer. Yeah, for the UB bonus, I can see needing to hold off if you have any wrist injury. I really felt my wrists & forearms working in that one.
