Post Surgery Update from a Lurker...

Hello everyone! I haven't been active poster here in over a year, but I posted a couple months ago in the STS forum about an upcoming surgery. I had a very early detected and small speck of cancer in my uterus, and had a laproscopic hysterectomy at the end of February. I'm very happy to say that this surgery completely cured me of the cancer! Yay!! :D

I returned to my full time schedule at work this past week, and am glad to be back to "normal" life. My body isn't back to normal yet, though. Carrying 3 beach towels (I work at a timeshare resort in south Florida) is all I can handle right now. I know that recovery is part of the process, but I'm looking forward to getting back to working out! I'll have to slowly ease my way back to Cathe's workouts, but I'm determined!! I've got about 70 pounds to lose to reach my weight loss goal, and lots of other physical goals to reach with the help and support of this forum and Cathe's kill-me-with-fun workouts! }( :p I'm ready to embrace the challenge of improving my health and creating a happier life for myself.

I'm feel very thankful to part of this forum. Everyone here is so inspirational, smart, witty, and STRONG! Rock on, Catheites, rock on!

What a blessing Connie! Thanks for letting us know that you are doing so well. After what you've been through who cares about 70 lbs, you've got time to recover and deal with it when it's right to do so. You've got your health which in the end is all that really matters. So glad to hear that you are well:)

Take Care
Laurie

I agree with all the other posters Connie!! It just warms my heart to hear such good news! I am so glad things went so well and you can ease back into your Cathe workouts. Just take it easy and you will soon be back into it. I will look forward to more posts from you...:)

Hi Connie and welcome back! I'm happy to see you've come out of lurkdom to join in on the fun :) . Well, you've got a bit of a road ahead of you, but you CAN do it, and good for you for stopping here to refuel! The support and fellowship of this board will be important for your moral support. And go slow! I agree with every word Laurie said -- and slow and steady wins the race ;)

So glad that all went well for you Connie.

Good to hear you are ready to slowly get back into your workouts - not good to go too fast, especially with abdominal issues.

Hope to "see" you on the boards more often this year ! :+

Yay Connie!! I'm very happy for you! Welcome back and take your time to recover. We'll all still be here so take care--
