Post RT Monday Aug 13

Goodmorning RTers. Wow, I'm already experiencing post RT let down. The recurring theme I heard so often over the weekend was "No one else gets it." All I wanted to do last night while sharing a pizza with friends and family was talk about the weekend, and I could sense that no one really wanted to hear. I guess we'll have to stick a little bit closer to each other, since we all DO get it.

I had a flat tire at the Fairfield on Sunday morning, but thanks to Stacy and Paul at the hotel, AAA was contacted and the spare got put on. I took it over to Sears at the mall and after 2 1/2 hours was on the road for home. I have to work today and then Greyor has a doctor's appointment. No workout for me today. I have a tiny twinge in one knee that needs to go away.

I hope you all got home safe and sound and are inspired to do great things today. Have a good one.

Hey Robin and all other post RT's!

Sorry about the tire. I'm so glad it all worked out!

I get what you mean Robin! my family all asked if I had fun, blah, blah, blah... but when I tried to explain it all they just gave me that look that told me that I am the only one who really gets it. Well, me and 105 other great people!!

I am completely exhausted. I went to Atlantic City for the rest of the day yesterday. We ate at a Cuban restaurant at the Tropicana Hotel last night. OMG... Yummy!! We walked the boardwalk and it was pretty hot! Unfortunately I sweated almost as much as during class all weekend.

So, now I am up, wiped out, on a low from having to leave all my new friends, and waiting to get back to the real world again.

Let me just say that this weekend was positively unbelievable. All of you who shared this RT experience are truly beautiful, both inside and out. I have been inspired 106 times over. Thank you for being a part of these special memories.

Okay, speaking of the real world, I have a client coming to work out soon, so I am going to go peruse the pics and stuff for a few minutes. I'll BBL. Love you all!!!

Good Morning :)

Robin glad you were able to get your tire fixed and get home.

I had soo much fun this weekend. It was great meeting all of you, and working out together- of course:7 Speaking of that, I AM SORE TODAY!!!!! <wine, wine, wine>:)

Michelle

Goodmorning guys! I am definitely with you on the let down. I was so sad this morning not to be getting up and going to a class with you all! It was so much fun meeting everyone and putting faces with "screen names". :)

Vicki - Glad you had fun in Atlantic City! I would have never made it. I was SOOOO sore yesterday, it was all I could do to drive home and collapse. ;)

Robin - Did you ever find out what caused that flat? What a pain having to deal with that yesterday! :( Glad you made it home safe and sound.

Michelle - I never got to tell you, but you are the spitting image of my sister. Everytime I saw you anywhere I had to do a double take! :)

I wish I had someone here to talk to about the RT too. I told a few of the ladies here at work about it, but they think I am crazy. My DH doesn't care and my family looks at me a little weird too. My mom was all freaked out about my driving to NJ so all she can say is that she couldn't wait for it to be over, like it was a dreaded disease or something. Oh well.... at least I have the forums! ;)

Liann, the flat was due to a broken valve stem. When the new tires were mounted on Friday, they either broke the valve or didn't replace the old one with a new one. DH was annoyed because Sears charged $20 to fix it and didn't give me the old broken one. Our mechanic would have done the same work for less than$10. I'm just glad someone was open on Sunday and that I didn't have to buy another new tire. LOL about the RT being a dreaded disease. I think we all have it.

Good morning RT pals! You all are just too wonderful for words. What an experience of a lifetime. I have enough beautiful memories now to give me a mental boost that will last for a LONG time.

Robin- How frustrating to deal with a flat after all the events and wanting to just get home!!! It was so special having another "seasoned" Catheite there ;-)

Vicki- OMG, I can't believe you had the energy for an excursion to AC after all that:eek:    Then again, after having met you, I guess it's really no surprise. You are positively bubbling over with energy and radiance. Your clients are lucky!!

Michelle- So many wonderful people, so little time!!! I didn't get nearly enough time to really meet and talk with everyone I wanted to, like yourself. Sore eh? Well, I'm really just more overall tired then sore I think. But I also had a long flight back to Az.

Liann- It is frustrating trying to share your excitement and memories with friends and family back home when they just "don't get it". My DH really doesn't get it either but bless his heart he did listen patiently while I babbled on and on about how great it was!

I'll be focusing more on weights this week since we really didn't get to do much of that this weekend. Today will be GS Legs and an hour on the elliptical. Tomorrow is my long run.... 15 miles:7

Question y'all- What was your favorite workout? Mine was the first kickbox workout Sat. morning. (I got to run!)

ShellyC

Shelly- my most favorite was the step...I could have done that for another hour:7

Liann- you are so sweet:) I just loved your braids in your hair, I wish I could do things like that with my hair:)

Well, right now I'm waiting to download a few video clips of Sundays class. It was hard to tear myself away from working out to take these, but I knew I would appreciate the meemories later.

Michelle

It was great meeting everyone - well, I couldn't meet evryone individually. That part was a bummer. There were so many women and it was too hard to connect with all of them.

I know what you all mean about people not getting it. My 16 year old son said to me. "I don't get it mom, how can exercising be fun? I thought you were the only person to think eercsing was fun!" I asked him if he thought playing hockey was fun. (He has been playing for 8 years). He said that was different. I explained to him that it is the exact same feeling. Maybe he will get it now!

I, also, wasn't sore, just plain exhausted when I got home at 9PM on Sunday. I had to unpack all my stuff plus my children's things since they went away for the weekend also. I have so much laundry it is unreal!

My favorite workout from the weekend was the step, too. Step is the workout that I love the most. As Michele said I could have done another hour of step.

I think it is a good idea to keep posting on this forum. It would be nice to keep checking in with everybody.

Cheryl

Hello, ladies!

Robin--sorry about the tire. I had travel woes, too. I never made it to Denver last night because of delayed flights!

I was so sad because, as you all know, my husband signed me up for this trip, so he WAS sympathetic and ready to hear all about it, and I never got to see him!! He'll meet up with me in Cleveland today, though.

Vicki--hope that AC was FUN and not just hot. Tomorrow I'm going to trek around Cedar Point with my kids. I may experience the HOT too!!

Liann--so sorry for no sympathetic ear. Maybe over the course of time you can make a positive impact and get a friend hooked on Cathe! ;)

Michelle, Shelly, Cheryl--as they said, so many wonderful people and so little time. I was hoping to get to know you ladies more, since I'd seen you on the check-in, but unfortunately did not. As they say, we still have the forums!

We had been tossing around the idea of renaming our check-in, rather than just saying Post RT. What do you think? One idea that was put out there was to call in Put Your Game Face On, and then shorten that to PYGFO. What do you think? Do you like that? Do you have other creative ideas? Do you want to stick with Post RT 2007?

:)

Well, I just saw that Table 12 has a check-in, so I'm thinking that Post RT may be too generic because there may be other RT check-in groups that develop. Let's be sure that all the gals that were checking in with us are in the loop, but then let's do pick a unique name. That's my suggestion.

Hey again.

Cheryl: First of all, YOU ROCK!!! Your enthusiasm all weekend was contageous. Every time I heard a big WOOHOO in class I knew exactly where it was coming from and I smiled every time. You are one amazing woman. What a pleasure to have met you!!

Um, Shelley: You are pretty energetic and bubbly yourself. I never once looked at you and you weren't smiling. You are so awesome.

Liann: How many times did I tell you how adorable you are?? And those braids? I promise to stop saying it ( since it's probably annoying already), but only if you promise to stop being so stinkin' ADORABLE! Deal? ;)

You know what? I can't think of anyone who wasn't pretty awesome. I just wish we had more time to spend together. Before we knew it, it was all over. Well, we'll just have to do it again now, won't we??

I really want to say to Michelle, Tess, (Alicia and Lauren who better be checking their butts in here from now on) how much I enjoyed their company. You guys are so unreal. I will always cherish every minute of fun with you guys. Tess, thanks again for the car rides. Although from the sound of it, the amusement park bus ride might have been a little less bumpy than your *ahem* lead footed "braking". I'm just saying... ( one more thing... NY, NY a Hell of a town... soon, right??)

So, I agree with Cheryl, we should keep this check in going. Laura (hey Laura, you are also pretty darn' amazing!! What a sweetheart) suggested the PYGFO check in ( Put your game face on). Anyone have any other suggestions?

And, BTW, I loved the step class. I actually was least looking forward to that but it was so great! Too much fun.

My DH is completely stumped by my obsession with these boards right now. I can't stop reading everything and looking at all the pictures. I feel like I need to be de-programmed.

Okay, off for a little while to get some PB and banana.

See you all later.

Vicki - Lol, thanks for the compliments! You are an absolute sweetie and I am so glad I got to finally meet you! When I saw you across the room at the meet and greet, I told my entire table, "look it's Vicki, it's Vicki!!!!" Felt like I already knew you and we hadn't even met officially yet. :D

Laura, I love PYGFO (pronounced pig-fo?) Hope you have a grand time at Cedar Point.

ShellyC, I too loved working out with seasoned Catheites. I personally think you, Carole and I kicked some serious butt. I also think Cathe should do a Seasoned Steppers workout featuring us. Wadda ya think?

Cheryl, good explanation to your son.

Michelle and Cheryl, yeah, Step, definitely my favorite workout from the weekend. I think I could have gone another hour too.

Hi ladies. I am glad to see this checkin still going. I like the PYGFO title for the checkin. I think we should transtion it gradually like "PYGFO (Post RT 2007) Checkin" for awhile until everyone knows what PYGFO is. :)

Ladies, I am just so sad it's over. I was shedding a few tears on the plane ride home and last night laying in bed. I was utterly exhausted yesterday and sore in my legs...mostly my calves and the tops of my feet. I took a long hot bath and went to bed very early. I didn't even get online last night because I wanted to spend some time with my DH. He was very excited and wanted to see pictures and explanations of who is who. I've told him all about you all and I am so glad he "gets it." It is great to have his support and he's already on board with me going again. :* What a sweetheart.

I am taking it easy tonight and not sure what I'll do tomorrow. I need to try a new rotation so maybe I will work on finding something today.

Robin - it was so good to finally meet you. You are such a sweet soul and I just LOVE the haircut. I am sorry about your flat tire but glad you made it home safely. Take care of that knee.

Vicki - there just aren't words for what I want to say to you. You are my idol in every way. Did you see yourself in my video clip? You had so much energy and enthusiasm during that step class! Thanks for everything this weekend, but mostly thanks for just being you. I will definitely be coming to NY to visit (and bringing my pal Michelle with me).

Michelle - Whining again?? Y'all Michelle is such a good whiner, she was even whining about whining all weekend. }( AND she snores, REALLY loud. J/K!!! So either you and Vicki need to come to Atlanta or we need to start planning our trip to NY. :)

Lianne (AKA Amber) - I wish I could have spent more time with you. Every time I saw you you were smiling. You have such an infectious smile and Yes, I too love the hair.

Shelly, Uggh, I don't remember meeting you on the RT but I'm sure if I saw your pic I would recognize you. :( It was so overwhelming wasn't it? I really wanted to meet everyone but just not enough time...My favorite workouts were definitely the 2 kickbox.

Cheryl - It was great meeting you. I am just shuddering trying to imagine your laundry situation.

Laura - I am so glad we got to take our picture together. Again, I wish I could have spent more time getting to know you. I am sorry about your travel nightmares.
