Post back injury exercise

I've recently strained my back and was confined to bed for a number of days. It's not a herniated disc but muscular over-exertion. What type of exercise do you recommend for getting back to my exercise regimen. I obviously can't go straight to Hiit/High Intensity training right away. So, what are some of the good alternatives from your videos? Thank you

I see no one had replied to your post. Last fall, I had back problems from lifting something too heavy for me. That was the same week I received the low impact series Cathe had just released. I watched all of the workouts one time and did a little bit of the Yoga Relax DVD. Slowly, I started doing the short version of Cardio Supersets and Slide and Glide and working on Cycle Max. Also was going to a chiropractor for a few weeks. Just take it easy and do things that do not hurt. I found walking and biking (standing -so think spin) easier to do at that point.

Good luck!

I am. Dealing with pulled muscle too. Lower back. If I sit to long it is worse. I do Cathe yoga relax and another yoga callled yoga for a healthy back by yogi Marlon. At fiirst she talks a lot but after I hearrd it I fast forward tto the stretches andd it really heelps a lot. It is very easy. I know it sounds crazy but for me I must keep moving amd stretching or it gets worse. I can now do step amd. It feels better. Like I said hurts more after I sat and try to move itt. Takes my breathe almost.
Look it up on youtube or Amazon

Back pain is one of the worst. ugh. glad you're up and about again layrapetova.

Luckily for me it's been a long time since I experienced what you just went through but I remember that slow and steady moves helped me loosen up and slowly get back into my game so to speak.

For example I didn't do any impact - I didn't use risers when I did step, I didn't bend down and over for thrusts or to touch the step, and I kept kicks very low and modified other moves for KPC.
Also, I sat on a stability ball when I worked biceps and shoulders so I didn't have to support my weight and I didn't do any back exercises at all.

Be careful and good luck to you!
