I used to always wear zero-drop cross-training shoes for weight lifting workouts. This past year though I've started going barefoot while lifting. A few times I wore those Tucketts grippy socks Cathe showcased in the new series. And a few times I've worn my Birkenstock sandals or clogs, but quickly kicked them off in favor of going barefoot. As winter and colder temps come on, I may go back to cross-trainers.

I used to go barefoot...until I dropped some piece of equipment on my foot too many times or walked into the weight bench, fit tower, STS dip bars, or floor fan too many times! I have broken a toe twice due to this. I have been working out over 30 years, so I guess 2 toe breaks isn't outrageous. I would prefer barefoot.

Yeah, that is a concern. I've never dropped a weight, ever. However with all the equipment strewn around the room, I've become very conscious of where I place my feet when barefoot. Stubbing a toe, twisting an ankle, breaking something could put you out of commission for awhile.

I don’t seem to be able to cast multiple votes so I chose other.

I typically am barefoot but sometimes opt for ballet slippers. I bought Cathe’s grippy socks but they’re too big for my feet.

I sometimes wear water shoes if the workout I’m doing includes bands or tubing. Ballet slippers work well for this too.

I own zero drop shoes but rarely wear them.

I do want something on my feet for band work where you step on or pull from the feet, so if I'm barefoot I'll slip on my sandals or clogs.

(Sorry about not being able to choose multiple options- I went back to edit, but the multiple option is clicked).
