Polar F4 or F6????

Well...I finally had saved up and now trying to decide which heart monitor I want. I was going to get the F6 until I seen the F4 is 20 dollars cheaper and seems have the same stuff.

Does anyone know the difference between the F6 and F4? I hate to spend the extra 20 dollars if they are about the same.

What I'm looking for is make sure its tell calories burned and has the heartrate showing consistanly. Thanks! Dawn
 
I've owned my Polar F4 for almost 5 years. I love it!! I can't workout without it. Yes, I have an unhealthy relationship with it... :eek:

I believe the big difference between the F4 adn F6 is that with the F6 you can download your data to a computer.

I have the Polar F4 also but my battery has stopped working on the wrist watch do you know if I can replace it? And if yes where? Thanks Lori

I had to replace my watch battery too. I just took it to a local bike/fitness store and they changed the battery while I waited. I think you can also send it in to Polar and they'll change it for you too-I think they can guarantee the water resistance of it then. However, since I don't use it in the water, I went with the fitness store option.

It's worked just fine since I had the battery replaced.

Thanks....good question about the battery...

Cant the Battery be replace anywhere that sells watches?
 
If you go Polar's company website there is a comparision chart for different models. Their website is kind of slow, so have a patience

thank you...I think I have decided on the F4 for now....maybe for christmas my husband can buy me the F6.
 
I bought the F6 about 2 years ago, and returned it for the F4. The F4 is smaller, if size matters to you. I just found the F6 too bulky for me, and I really didn't need the download features.
