Hi ladies,
I haven't posted as much as I have in the past. I started my master's and have been busy with that, the kids and life in general.
Anyway, the reason for my post is to remind all of you ladies to stay current with your annual exams. I've had a little scare this week. I went several weeks ago for my annual gyne exam. I was a bit overdue. I've never had any abnormal results in the past. Well, this time I did. I had to a have a colposcopy . I'm waiting on the results on that. However, just from that procedure I do know I'll have to have a cone biopsy. What a surprising week!!! I feel fine. I've been working out to my Cathe DVDs and running. So, you can imagine my surprise when this whirlwind started on Tuesday evening when I received a call from my doctor.
He said the common reason for getting abnormal pap results is because of an HPV virus. Although, mine was not the cause of this, he explained to me that a lot of woman have this and don't even know about it. HPV can cause cervical cancer. I've gotten a crash course in all of this yesterday at my appointment. I have never heard of any of this, so I wanted to pass it on to all of you fine ladies.
Please don't blow off your exams!!
