Please pray for our mini doxie Tanner...sorry so long!!

Hello everyone,

I know I've only posted here a few times and I have been absent for quite some time. I'm struggling today and feeling pretty helpless and alone. I know how wonderful you all are and the close knit community you all have.

My DH is currently at the vet hospital with our 6 and half year old miniature dachshund Tanner. He injured himself yesterday (his back) and I'm so scared of what's going to happen. You see, it hasn't even been a year since we lost his big brother Docker to the same ailment (disc disease). I'm just not handling this very well I guess. I'm trying to think positively but it's hard after going through this once before so recently.

I was just hoping to ask you all to pray for him and give me some positive hope. I'm still grieving for Docker and not ready to loose Tanner yet ;(

I'm SO sorry about your dog...many prayers coming your way. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to cause the injury? I have 2 doxies and would just die if something happened to them. They are very active and one of them (the younger male) will run and jump on and off everything. I lost 2 dogs last August and couln't bear it again.

Let us know how everything goes.

I will pray that you have strength to get through this. Seeing loved ones suffer is difficult. When you love deep, the worry can be intense. Hang in there!

So sorry to hear about Tanner. I am a HUGE doxie lover. My doxie, Rocky, had some back issues, but he was on bed rest for a week and has been fine ever since. I hope that you too have a happy ending.

It's so sad when a pet gets injured... they can't tell you how much they're hurting. And they're usually so stoic, it breaks your heart. I'll send healing vibes your way for your dog. Good luck.
 
Hi Chastity. So sorry to hear about Tanner. I hope he will be ok. We have a mini doxie too. She's almost 5 months.

Thank you all so very much!!! I'm so moved and in tears. Tanner is staying overnight at the hospital and they are going to perform a bunch of tests on him tomorrow. We should know something by 1pm tomorrow. Going crazy just sitting here...probably won't be sleeping tonight.

I was trying to create a picturetrail so that you could meet my babies but being the computer iliterate that I am got frustrated and quit for the night. Maybe another day my DH can help me figure it out x(

P.S. I just accomplished creating my avatar...big accomplishment for now. It's a photo of my baby boy Tanner :)
