Please Help Me Choose a DVD

Hi All -

I'm a cardio junkie and my strength dvd collection is looking a bit sad these days in comparison. My favorite upper body workouts are PUB, the C&B only premix of 4DS, Muscle Max UB only premix, and HSTA's UB only premix. . Not sure if any of those follow a "pattern" that other DVD's follow? I also have CTX, LIC and Body Max 2 but don't find myself reaching for the weight segments though.

What about the gym styles? The thing that turns me off about the gym styles is the chest which seems to be a bazillion push ups and not much else? Or how is the upper body workout in the new STS total body?

I'm open to anything, new or old. TIA for any suggestions!

I absolutely LOVE the gym styles. There are lots of push ups... but there is a lot of other stuff too. With chest, you rarely get more than bench press and flies, then the same on incline: Gym style has all this. And I LOVE the pace of these dvds, keeps your working hard. I also get great result with these. The only thing I don't like is that the shoulder work uses the band a lot... I'm not a fan of the band. But it's still great. I really think you should get them!

Slow and Heavy is good too, but requires a lot of focus.
Hope that helped!

I'm a cardio junkie too and PUB is probably my favorite weight workout. I also really enjoyed the new STS total body. The format of it makes it go by really fast. Also power hour and Muscle Max are good ones. Given my Druthers though I never automatically reach for a weight workout, I do them because they are in the rotation I'm doing and I know I need to

I also love GS and the new STS Total Body. I made up m y own mix for GS uppper body today and got one heck of a killer workout!

Have fun!

And don't worry about the three million push ups in GS. Do as many of them as you want, or none at all, it doesn't matter. It is YOUR workout and nobody is going to know. Between the bench presses and flyes on flat and incline, that's plenty of work for the chest. More than that starts to impinge upon the shoulders and if you intend to work them in the same exercise session, you need to keep something in reserve for them.
