PLB now!

Just finished PLB, did pyramid up only so that I can still walk tomorrow! ;)

Leg presses were tough for me...don't know how I would have handled goin' back down the pyramid, but the rest I probably could have handled going down...and I had to skip the ball work cause I can't be on my back.

I think I will do the work out in full next time and just stop early on leg presses if it's too much...

PUB was MUCH more difficult for me but I did that work out in full first time out so I'm sure that had something to do with it!;-)

Have a great work out!

I did this workout today and I also skipped the leg presses pyramiding back down....I was SO out of breath! I hadn't done PLB in ages and I was wary of doing the whole thing. I too skipped the ballwork but watched it. I was thinking it didn't *look* that bad and will do it next time. I'm sure that not *looking* that bad means NOTHING! I've done this one in it's entirety before and I'm pretty sure I was crying for my Mommy the next day! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/traurig/sad-smiley-020.gif[/img]

The ball portion of the workout is the hardest part. Especially the inner thigh things Good Greif. I love this workout just because of the ball portion. Robin next time do it, and you will see your hips will seemed fried. I can remember thinking the first time i did it (is she going to stop raising that outer thigh)You'll super love it! When you watch it it doesn't seem like she is doing as many reps as she actually is while your doing it. This will be a favorite of yours too Wendy when you can get back on your back.Great job exercising I exercised with my last child up to week 37 and she was my shortest labor but that could also be because she was my third. Either way it seemed to help because with the other two I did nothing. Karen

Hi Wendy....leg presses have always been my least favorite...x( but....that was until the Dynabands!!! I have 4 different resistances and I use 3 of them for PLB, when Cathe increases the weight I just get the next resistance band ready. It's nice because it gives my shoulders a break holding the barbell. I also really like the stability band segment...:)...Carole

Hi Wendy,

I have always found PUB to be more difficult, overall, than PLB, maybe because there are more exercises in PUB than in PLB. PLB is pretty straightforward, and she only does one superset in the whole workout, whereas PUB is all supersets, with a giant set for the shoulders (ouch!). Having said that, I consider the stability ball work in PLB to be her most sadistic segment of any of her workouts!! It is definitely harder than it looks!!! I haven't done the stability ball work in GS legs, but it looks on par with PLB. Effective, for sure!!

The bonus premix on the Pyramids dvd might be something you want to try. It alternates lower and upper body exercises, doing the up-only. It is about an hour long, I think, and a Total Body Workout. And she doesn't include the PLB stability ball work! :)

Cheers,
Sandra

I was wondering what the bonus segment was. Intended to preview it but just haven't gotten around to it. Thanks for letting me know. I will definately try that one!

I LOVE the ball work on PLB! The first time I did it I could only do one set of the hamstring lifts but quickly worked up to doing them all. And those frog pull-ins for the inner thighs kill me! I still can't do all of those. My legs feel completely fried after this workout, it's awesome. I add this one to other workouts a lot.
