pikes... who can do 'em?

Marnie

Cathlete
I did 5 pikes on my stability ball this morning (from PUB)! I'm so proud of myself!!! I can do them fine if I do them before the workout... but after PUB my shoulders and arms are kinda wobbly and those pikes are tough!! oh cathe why did you leave those for the end of the tape!! LOL... well this morning I completed 5 of them so I must be getting stronger :D

I LOVE THE PYRAMID TAPES!!!

Marnie,

Yesterday was the first day that I could do the whole routine on the stability ball. I have been doing it everday to build up to doing it all. It took about a week to get to it. When I first started it I couldn't even do one. What I did was do every other one then just built up to doing them all.

I told myself I was going to get those pikes down if it killed me. Even holding the one leg up after the pikes can be trying - I can do the one leg but switching as quickly as Cathe does to the other one can get the ball wobbling.

It won't be long and you will have it mastered too. I have wondered too why Cathe chose to do the stability ball after all the upper body work - it is harder to keep on the ball because your arms are so tired! It sure makes you feel accomplished when you can keep doing more and more.

Hi ;o)

You guys are awesome, especially you Chery! Great job, mastering the entire ab routine. I'm just now managing to do four pikes, and you are so right, if you do them before doing the arm workout, one could possible get through the entire workout hm..... thanks fot that tip, I probably wouldn't have thought of it. I'm going to try it next time. I'm getting great results with alternating PLB and PUB. I think this is Cathe's best; amazing woman!!!!!

Teddygirl (who's ready to take the next step)

Teddygirl,

You are doing great too. What really helped me was concentrating on my leg placement on the ball and making sure my feet stay together and pointed. As long as I concentrate on that I do better.

When I did it today - I did really well but not as good as the day before. I tell you what I get winded by the time I am done. Do you know that the segment with the ball is only a little over 3 minutes. Unbelievable wouldn't you say?

I don't think I will ever think that segment is easy. Cathe sure makes it look easy wouldn't you say?

Hard to believe but I can do pikes. I have to do them first can't do them at the end of a workout, but, yeah I can do um.

Hey Teddygirl and others,

How often are you using the pyramid tapes? Are you doing each workout once per week, twice per week, or more?

I'm just finishing a Slow & Heavy rotation, so haven't got to them yet.

Thanks.
