pictures of villisca iowa

It is shameful that these people appear to be profitting off these murders. What are they doing with all the profit that has been made off the murders of 2 adults and 4 children?

I didn't read the full story, this kind of stuff creeps me out too much, but that last pic, in context, is very creepy.

I agree with you, Tamrahan. Yours was my initial reaction, too - making money on the suffering of others, but I didn't want to say anything for fear of flames. But I'm glad you said it.

One would hope that the money would be donated to a nonprofit for missing and exploited children. But that's JMHO.

If the building goes to rot, then so be it. Why would anyone want to maintain a shrine to such horror and pain? Is there anything particularly historic about the architecure of the building itself, or is it just important because of all the "woo-woo" surrounding it?

 I just now saw the other thread that the OP started on 02/28/2009.

So initially I wondered why is the OP posting these pictures. I wasn't trying to flame you Randidiane-just wanted you to know.

The website does mention about a museum but my and my friends reaction to that was-so they are using the money to buy antiques under the guise to preserve the heritage of rural iowa. The website also says that they did try to donate the collection to the city. I dunno, it still seems in very poor taste.
How about tours to Sharon Tates or Nicole Simpson's house?

Now that is just down right creepy and disturbing. It just down right breaks my heart to hear of children being killed, or hurt.

A lot of historical "murder" "unsolved" mystery sites end up being museums, spots on tours etc... Lizzy Borden's house is just one example. Not saying it's right, it's just not out of the ordinary. This murder was almost a hundred years ago and the fact that it was never solved makes it especially fascinating/horrifying for people. You've got more nerves than me staying in that place overnight Randi!!!

I don't know about the about all where the money goes but it was a girls trip never to forget! Definatly wont be staying the night over any supposedly haunted place again! It was an adventure kind of worth it thought!:)

I listened to the EVPs. Sounds very sad. It isn't residual, I think the kids are still there. It sounds like the killer is with them as well. They should really get mediums in there to help them cross over rather than playing and exploiting them.
