As a courtesy to your fellow forum members could you post pictures from another source other than MSN communities?

You'll be reading new messages and when you open one you get a flash message asking you to login to MSN communities just to get someone's picture. If the popups on the net weren't irritating enough.

Thanks.

Dave

Okey! This ones gone "completly" over my head

Anyone want to explain it to me?..........or not

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother started walking when she was 60. Today she is 97 and we don't know where the hell she is! - Ellen DeGeneres

Marion,

When you click on the persons avatar picture, it sends you to an MSN
log in page. you can't see the picture unless you sign in their homepage.

Same thing happens to me as does Dave. I don't have to click on anything to get the pop up. I open a thread, and up pops this MSN thing. Kind of irritating!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........I see now

Marion I love your sig line too, huge Degeneres fan here. Another of her's I love is.........."A disturbing new study out, it finds all studies disturbing" :+

I don't know if you have seen her new stand-up act but she does a skit on movie's and eating that is so funny!

Oh THAT explains it... I thought I was getting a constant spyware infection. I was about to pour cranbery juice in my computer ;-)

I have been getting this too lately, but it happens when I am looking at posts.

You are getting some type of pop up?? I thought you were referring to the avatar picture. I don't think that has ever happened to me. Is it the browser you are all using?

Aila

edited to add: I normally use Mozilla, but just signed on with Explorer. I just got that pop-up you are all talking about.

I thought that stupid pop-up box was because of a new download from Microsoft. I hadn't noticed that it was only when I was reading the forum. I'll have to pay more attention.

Dave I was wondering what that was because the samething happens to me just for looking at a thread I think.

I don't have to click on the avatar, this is just the avatar trying to display itself.

It is not a "pop up" per se. MSN is trying to allow me the picture but I have to log on first.

I have Pop ups blocked using the Google task bar.

I just started getting this window popping up lately -- and it's only when I'm on this forum.

I do feel better that it's not just me. :)

But I do wonder what we can do about it. I just started about a week ago.

I think it has to do with the new IM service that hotmail is offering. I just got one of the popup boxes, and when I scrolled on it, it automatically pasted my hotmail address into the sign-in box. So that's make me think it's Microsoft trying to sell its new IM service...does that make sense?

I don't see what you guys are talking about. I click on the avatars all the time but get no pop ups or sign in requests. I use IE and have Bullguard AV.

I'm glad you posted this, Dave. I couldn't figure out where those annoying MSN messages were coming from. I only get them on this forum.

Hmmmm. When I click on the avatars nothing happens. When I click on the name, I go to the person's profile page, but there is no avatar there, larger or otherwise. Luckily, I get no annoying pop-ups either.
