WOW. I feel like I've been neglecting my abs a bit lately so I decided to do the ab portion from the arm/ab booster DVD and then I did the entire 57 min whole body workout after that. I have never done an ab workout that hits EVERY abdominal muscle like these, especially the lower abs. My abs feel so TIGHT after I do this, I love it! I'm feeling great results after just two weeks. My lower abs are still sore as well as my intercostal muscles for goodness sake! I have to say this is the best ab workout I've done (BTW, my avatar is before the P57!)
Personally I do not care for the upper body/arm portion of these workouts. I try to really challenge myself on the push ups and then I get my upper body work elsewhere (Muscle Max and kettlebells)...this part is just blah for me.
I'm also getting GREAT results from the leg/thigh segments. My thighs feel stronger and more toned for sure, whoa...that burn starts immediately!
As far as the glute/seat work I have mixed feelings. Some of the moves are difficult to do and I have lower back issues/pain. After doing this part of the workout I'd have a lot of lower back pain...so I decided to modify this portion on the floor and it's so much better for my back and just as much work/burn.
I'm not sure if it's form or weak lower back muscles ( I was in an accident a few years ago and fractured some vertebrae) or what but I'll keep modifying the glute portion. (If you have Jillian's NMTZ think of the last circuit and this is what it's like).
