Well, here's a different take on the whole perfume debate. I have what is called a toxic reaction to perfume. It's not really classified as an allergy, even though I sometimes call it that. At any rate, depending on what chemicals (toxins - because that was perfume is) are in the fragrance, I can develop mild to severe headaches, dizziness, nausea, breathing difficulties up to a full-blown asthma attack, or any number of other irritating symptoms.
So, the last thing I NEED next to me when I'm huffing and puffing away during a workout is someone wearing strong fragrance. It could send me into an extreme physical downward spiral.
So, if you are one of those who is an "offender", as someone called it, please keep this in mind. Many people have these toxic reactions, and some don't even realize that's what is happening. Before you dowse yourself in strong scents, think twice and only apply a dab instead of a few splashes. My health thanks you!
