No workout today. My husband and I went to the doctor, and we have covid and strep. The doctor put us on antibiotics for the strep. I called to check with the pulmonologist just in case that affected the bronchoscopy the 18th and he said we could still do it. We do not usually go to a doctor for illness, but this really hit and my husband who never wants to go got up and said we need to go to the doctor. I am glad that we did. I guess it will be a while before I get a workout in.

Valerie, I imagine being shut up in a train with a bunch of people is a hot bed for picking up something. I doubt that they clean everything after each load either. Nice work on the ride. I am glad that you finally got some rain. I bet that is fun having the swifts come back each year.

Carolyn, it seems like most of the time those workers show up later than set up for.

Cathy, I bet if you kept up tri-sets it would get easier after a while. To me the 107 in Fort Worth was a bit much even though we have had 104 here. It is cooling down now.

Judy, nice work on the Peloton strength and core workout. It will be nice for you to have a week off.

No workout yesterday as I was shopping. This morning was Super Sets Total Body. Even though it also has 6 exercises before the 2 minute break. I think because it's only 2 exercises, and set up in between sets doesn't take as long, I get more actual rest time. Not like it's an easy workout, but not as rough for me as Tri Sets. I'm going up to see Derek in a couple weeks, and looking ahead, my drive up day would be cardio and we'll go climbing, so I'm good there. The next two days are lower body and upper body, so I'm going to take along the band loops/bands and use those workouts.

Valerie that has got to be so frustrating that you thought you had your surgery all figured out and they throw a wrench in it. Great that you were able to ride yesterday. Too bad about your husband getting a flat. Were you able to put the mirror back on yourselves. Nick has been walking over to TCU to workout/climb, but I think he mostly goes in the evening which might be a tad better. But, he's young. I checked their 2 week forecast and it's still going to be 99-103. No real break in sight.

Judy good job with the Peloton strength & core work, and the run/walk. At least you'll be working on some of the hot days we're going to get.

Carolyn service peoples timing is so often off which messes up plans. Sorry you weren't able to workout.

Diane Sue, I'm so sorry you and your husband are sick. Good that you went to the doctor so you could get the antibiotics. I hope you both heal quickly.

This morning I did Jessica Smith’s Tone and Flow from the 30 Day Plan. That was 32 minutes and 131 calories burned. Average heart rate 111 and maximum heart rate was 139.

Diane Sue, I’m sorry that you and your husband have Covid and Strep. Hopefully you will start to feel better soon. It will take a while to get your energy back.

Cathy, nice job with Super Sets Total Body. I like that one more than the other STS 2 Total Body workouts.

Hello to Valerie and Judy.

another ride this morning with some friends. they don't ride often so it took way more time than usual, and traffic was totally horrible. much heavier than we expected. I hate that when previously pleasant places get "discovered" and suddenly they are awful. my bite from 2 days ago is terribly itchy. sensitive spot too, behind my knee. we skipped trying for lunch, too crowded and not worth the wait.

ETA driving traffic was heavy but I wasn't specific , it was a problem riding. we try to ride when traffic is less. our friends don't go as early as we do. apparently a lot of people (does anyone work on friday?) had the day off. traffic was way busier than usual. there were mass numbers of people salmon fishing and all parked along the little insignificant road we rode on. riding past parked cars is hazardous because doors can open unexpectedly and most windows are tinted. cant tell is anyone is in the vehicle. they are distracted and thinking about fish.

so cathy, we hibernate on holidays too but thought friday would still be ok. Wrong!

This morning I did Live Crush it Low Impact and STS 2 Active Recovery. The cardio allowed me to discover which muscle groups Super Sets really got me in.

Carolyn great job with Jessica Smith’s Tone and Flow from the 30 Day Plan.

Valerie I'm sorry too many people impacted your ride and it wasn't even afternoon before the holiday. I hibernate holiday weekends! Sound like a pretty nasty bite you are dealing with. The ones that linger are awful.

Rest day today. I went to the Farmer’s Market today and one of the vendors threw in a bunch of basil. I just made pesto sauce that I will freeze in small portions. I didn’t need basil today but I was happy to get it.

Valerie, it sounds like people out on the trails were getting a start on the long holiday weekend.

Cathy, great job with Live Crush It Low Impact and Active Recovery.
