Good morning,

Thank you all for your caring and understanding during this time. It is going to be very hard, he was so much a part of our life for the last 10 years. We are so glad we have Kylee. It helps a lot.

Hoping to get in a workout today, upper body/core etc. My hip is still painful. I will be calling my DR this week.

Take care,

Deb everyone who has lost a beloved pet knows how awful this feels. We still haven’t been able to go look for another kitty. It is so painful
Yes time to get your hip looked at. Make sure it is bursitis and get it treated. Some things don’t want to get better by themselves.

Hi Ladies,
Today is a rest day for me. I’m having a nice relaxing day here at home. Yesterday I saw an old hair salon friend—someone that I only see there, but I have known her for years. I didn’t know it, but she has been very ill. A caregiver brought her in and it broke my heart to see her. She has Alzheimer’s and her condition has really deteriorated. It is so sad!

I need to review my workouts and make a plan for next week. I have been so tempted to sign up for Cathe Live again, but I think I’ll wait awhile for that. Have a wonderful day everyone.

No workout today. I was so sore last night and my knee was throbbing. We helped our younger daughter move yesterday and by the time I was done it was painful. I came home and took some Curcumin and after I crawled in bed I couldn't sleep and got up and took Advil. My other knee had started hurting and my low back. It is a bit better today, but we are not done yet. I helped her on my own most of Friday after my workout. I have an appointment with the Arthritis Dr tomorrow early.

Deb, it will take some time and I found having a second dog was helped a little bit. It is tough adjusting to the loss of a household member that is a part of everything. I hope you can get to the bottom of the hip issue and get some relief.

Good morning,

Yesterday I did ICE Chiseled Upper Body, 41 minutes, 152 calories. I was going to do the workout that they did in the Road Trip on Thursday, but my streaming was acting up for some reason.

Valerie, I can understand completely why you have not gone to look for another kitty. Yes, hopefully it is bursitis, and not something more serious.

Carolyn, that is so sad about your friend from the salon. Sometimes it's just good to take a day off.

Diane Sue, sorry about the moving causing you to be in pain. It is fully understandable though. Even with doing all kinds of workouts, it just takes some different movement to start things aching.

Here is a picture of my handsome boy:

Hi to Judy & Lori,

Take care,

Deb he was such a cutie!
we think we are ready to get another pet but my mother dying and all the fuss with the will... finally over were two "obstacles. " we also are traveling a little more and now have to consider taking any pet back and forth. I was OK with planning it for the other kitty but not all cats would do OK with that. It made it easier not to have to plan for that for a while.
I wasn't suggesting anything ominous about the hip pain. a big danger with 'self-diagnosis". I have more than one time thought I surely had a serious issue and it turned out to be less than fatal. imaging studies usually help a lot, xray, MRI whatever is needed.

Hi Everyone,

We had another weekend of working on the condo. It seems like every project leads to another one and it feels like we'll never really be done. Friday I did Yin Yoga, Saturday I went for a short walk and yesterday I did Muscle Meltdowns Triceps & Shoulders.

Deb-Keegan was adorable! How is Kylee doing? I hope the doctor can help with your hip.
I want to do the Live road trip workout this week. It looks like a good one.

Diane Sue-I'm sorry about your knee. I hope it's better today.

Carolyn-That is so sad about your friend. I need to make a plan for this week also. I've gotten distracted by the work on the condo and haven't really been following a rotation.

Hi to Valerie & Lori,

Judy

This morning I did Strong and Sweaty PHA Training for 50 minute and 250 calories burned. My average heart rate was 116 and maximum heart rate was 141.

Deb, nice job with ICE Chiseled Upper Body. That’s too bad about the streaming not working for your planned workout.

Diane Sue, I hope your knee is better today. It sounds like you had a very busy weekend.

Judy, it’s easy to get caught up in projects. There is always something to do. It’s good that you managed a few workouts.

Hello to Valerie and Lori.

Today's workout was Cathe Live Glassboro 2018 upper and core, 54 minutes (45 actual), met 4.0, 238 calories, 1,038 steps, heat rate average 106, max 144. I then did Coffey Fit Raw upper body finisher, 15 minutes, 74 calories, met 4.5, heart rate average 110, max 139, 299 steps. This was done this afternoon. This morning I did Sarah Beth Yoga morning yoga 10 minutes, 22 calories before going to my arthritis doctor. Total time spent today was 79 minutes, 334 calories. My knees are achy from all of the moving this weekend so I didn't feel like doing anything lower. The doctor says it will take up to 3 months for me to see the difference with this medicine and if I continue having pain there are injections or other things they can do to give relief. I would rather not go that route though. I had to reorder my Now Hyaluronic Acid double strength today. I thought I was going to pick it up at Sprouts while they still had the 25% off, but they did not have the one I have been using and the Now one they had was 39 dollars :O I got 120 capsules for under 18 dollars n Amazon and used rewards money to pay for it. A better deal for me.

Debbie, Keegan is such a beautiful pup. I know you will cherish your time that you had with him. Maybe my notes for today will help you if you want to do the Road Trip workout later in the week. I liked it. I had to use my laptop though. It is not on the Roku channel yet. It worked perfectly adding Kelly's upper finisher to it. My Roku works better than streaming on my laptop.

Valerie, I often think maybe the worst for something and find out it is not so bad. Interestingly my daughter always gives me the worst case when she is trying to push me to go in to get something checked. Maybe a new pet would get used to the travel more quickly than one that was not used to travelling so much.

Judy, I am sure that you are getting quite a workout on the remodeling. :) Nice work on fitting something in each day.

Carolyn, I need to try the later PHA live workout one day. Nice work.

we did a nice mt bike this morning. about 2 hours, 12 miles out and back. we could not do the planned ride as the road was closed for bridge repair so went with plan B . it was a really nice wide road with lots of people using it, but easy to go around. walkers, runners, bikers. along a creek, climbed gradually much of the way. we went around 6 miles. by then it was getting warm. the altitude still makes it hard for me. it is around 6000 feet. lots os other possibilities off this road but we didn't want to go too far the first time.

judy most projects end up making more than normal activity even if not formal exercise. when we do a project, I don't worry much about workouts.

Don't we all think of the worst case scenario, and are sure we have whatever it is? even if the self diagnosis of bursitis is right, its not getting better so time for a professional opinion. when I had bursitis, I was sure I needed a total hip replacement! luckily no. just some PT, NSAIDS, and not doing things that made it hurt.

Good morning,

No workout yesterday. It would have been a cardio day, and I couldn't think of something to do that would not hurt my hip.

Valerie, It may be hard for a new kitty if you are going back and forth between houses. I made a DR appointment for Thursday. He is sending me for x-rays before I see him. That sounds like a nice ride.

Judy, that is how it goes with house projects; one leads to another...and to another etc. Kylee is doing okay. It doesn't seem like Keegan being gone has affected her. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.

Carolyn, nice job on PHA training. That is a great format. She has 2 (or maybe 3) of them in the LIVE workouts.

Diane Sue, thanks for the info on the Road Trip workout. I may do that this week, if my streaming behaves. I don't blame you on being leery about those shots and meds. What does the hyaluronic stuff supposed to help? How do you get Amazon rewards? Do you have their credit card? With all I spend there, I should be getting some type of rewards! LOL.

Hi to Lori,

Take care,

Deb, the hyaluronic acid helps with joint cushioning. It is often in skin care products for moisture retention. A lot of joint preparations are adding it to the glucosamine or collagen products. I think there is some naturally in collagen. The now double strength has a couple of herbs to help absorption. Since I had switched to Dr Axe collagen powders and vital proteins packets lately, i added the hyaluronic acid and extra C. The arthritis doctor has the whole list of my supplements.
I have the Amazon rewards visa that gives 5% back on purchases when you use it. I just pay the balance each month. Also, I have the Ibotta app that I mentioned before and if I go to the app and click Amazon, I go through the app and get around 3% back as well. There are specifications for that, as I think it has to be Prime. So, I get that back as rebate money on Ibotta and when I want I put those funds on Amazon gift cards. You can cash them out other ways . This includes things like home furnishings. I just got back money on a rocking chair we bought for a gift. I get rebates and money back on Gerties food and stuff under pets.

This morning I did Cathe Live Kickboxing and cardio barre, 54 minutes(47 actual but kept buffering), met 5.9, 352 calories, heart rate average 123, max 162, 4,623 steps. I followed this with Coffey Fit Raw kettlebell and dumbbells (lower) 24 minutes, met 5.9, 156 calories, 903 steps. I finished off with Sarah Beth Yoga post run cooldown, 20 minutes, 44 calories. Total calories 552, 98 minutes. Our internet went out which would probably be what some of my problem was with the buffering. I had no problem with Kelly's streaming though. I did the unplug everything etc.. It still wasn't working so my grandson decided he would like to watch Echo on DVD. As a result I still have not got my shower yet. The internet seems to be back up. I came back upstairs to shut things down and found it is working again. Hopefully it stays up as I have to get online to take care of some things. I will be back in awhile to see what everyone else has done.

This morning I did Kick Max omitting the Leg Conditioning segment. My time was 53 minutes with 373 calories burned. My average heart rate was 130 and maximum heart rate was 171. I had planned to do the leg conditioning exercises but I was too tired by the time that I got to them.

Deb, it’s hard to know what cardio to try when you are having pain. Maybe one of the Jessica Smith walking workouts would be okay.

Valerie, nice ride yesterday.

Diane Sue, great job with the Live Road trip workout.

Hello to Lori and Judy.

Another mt bike this morning. around 6 miles. we drove up a road near our house that is closed much of the year for wildlife habitat. when it's closed, we ride the lower part right from our house. this time of year an upper part is theoretically open but when we got there it was gated. there is a section of private property beyond it with a hunting cabin but sections of the road did not look driveable. so we rode instead. thought we could ride a trail at the end of the road, but no luck, it was way too overgrown, plus apparently goes into wilderness quickly. went a ways to see if possible but no. then went back to the road itself that continued beyond the private property, but it had been churned up with some kind of road equipment. impossible. could barely walk it. we forded a creek to get to it too. oh well. it was warm already and the cold water felt great. totally different from the ride yesterday but still fun. finally getting my conditioning for altitude and time to go back. we will spend more time in September and oct.

Deb, what about kickbox drills? if you don't have a good place to ride your bike outside without a big deal, what about getting a trainer to mount the bike on inside. or a spin bike? they aren't very expensive, don't take up much space. maybe wait until you see what your doc thinks on thursday. good that Kylee doesn't miss her buddy.

Carolyn that is so upsetting to see a former healthy person reduced to rubble. reminds us of how fragile good health can be, especially when its something you can't do much about.
the maps of the California wildfires are so upsetting. we used to camp at the whiskeytown area ( Redding) during off season when driving to California. It was a good location for a stop and was uncrowded during off seasons, and a ways off the interstate. it looks like the whole area is toast.

Good evening ladies!

I have been doing great with workouts since I last posted. I am on my last week of SB’s Challenge. This went by quick. I also did a few Kelly Raw workouts and LekFit. Loved Kelly’s Raw Home Gym Interval #1. I used my treadmill along with her and enjoyed it. Jill Cooper has another fast paced 30 min bounce workout that I did and loved.

Deb...what a sweet picture of Keegan. You have been in my thoughts every day. Having GiGi has helped me tremendously after Nilla passed. That is good to go for xrays prior to visit. Great you have an appt so soon. I have an amazon card too that I receive reward points for. I always feel like it is free money when I used the points.

Carolyn...that is so sad about your salon friend. As much as I like barre I never clicked with the leg conditioning drills in that workout.

Diane Sue...thanks for the info on the Roadtrip workout. I am planning to do it this weekend. I watched the clip and I love seeing men in her Live classes! The Raw finisher looks great too. I signed on to Beach Body On Demand...like I need another streaming site! I only did it to help my son’s GF. She has put on some weight and has no motivation. No one knows how to help her or mention it. Even her parents came to me. My son loves her regardless, but knows she would be happier if she lost the weight. I came up with I needed a buddy to do Tony Horton’s Double Up program. It is done with partners so you can not do it alone. She said yes and we are starting in 2 weeks when she finishes her summer college course. She likes kickboxing so we plan to incorporate some Cathe in too. I’ll have her subscribing to Live in no time once she does a couple of cathe’s kickboxing workouts!

Valerie...Great rides and yes 2 completely different outcomes. The creek added a different element for sure. I love cats and when you are ready you will know. We still have TimTim. She is 13 and is my sons cat but she has lived here all her life. Her and Zelda were buddies and when he moved he did not want to break them up. Now that Zelda is gone though she seems very content so she is here to stay. Every morning we have a routine and she knows when I have my coffee prior to my workout. She waits for me in my rocker for her cuddle time. It is rather cute.

Judy...I hear you with projects! Ours seemed to be never ending. Right now we are so absorbed with our movie room. We decided to wait on painting the screen until the Fall due to all our projects. Just not enough time in the day. :).

Have a great night all!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did Muscle Meltdowns Back & Biceps, then later in the evening I did Ultimate Yogi Yin Yoga. Today I did Core Max 1 and To The Mat, Bands & Floor only. My abs are going to be sore tomorrow. I have been neglecting my core work and I could definitely feel it. At one time I was doing core 3 x a week. I need to get back to that.

Deb-That's good that you have a doctor appointment and are getting xrays first. I also have an Amazon Visa card that I get Amazon points for using. I agree with Lori, it feels like free money when I use the points.

Valerie-Great job on the rides you are doing. They sound challenging!

Carolyn-Great job with Kick Max. Nice calorie burn! I don't think I've ever done the leg conditioning drills on that one. I'll have to look at it again and see what they are.

Diane Sue-I use a couple of skin products and one supplement with hyaluronic acid. I think the supplement (hydraplenish) is helping with my joints. Thanks for the breakdown of the road trip workout!

Lori-That was such a great idea for helping your son's GF to workout. I bet she will love working out with you! One of my FB groups is looking at Beach Body On Demand, but I'm not sure I want to add another streaming site. That's so sweet that TimTim waits for you in your rocker.

Judy

Good morning,

No workout yesterday. I guess I am going to rest until I see what is going on with my hip.

Diane Sue, I use hyaluronic acid for my skin. Did the arthritis doctor know about how it is used for joints etc? Did he/she agree with it being something that is helpful? Thanks for the info on the Amazon card. We have a Chase Southwest card, ( the one that has been compromised and we just had to cancel and get a replacement for), and we were able to get 2 round trip tickets to Seattle with it. However, we don't travel that much, and it took a long time to get enough points for the trip. I still had to buy some points to get the 2 tickets. I think an Amazon card would be better. That is the only downfall to streaming...depending on the internet not acting up.

Valerie, although there were some interruptions, sounds like you still had an enjoyable ride. It must me nice to be able to just go right from your house, no car trip necessary. I don't think kickbox would work. It is hard to stand on my "bad" leg, with all my weight on it. Bike would probably be the best, but would have to try it. I want to see what the DR says and x-rays show. Like you, I am imagining the worst.

Carolyn, good job on that workout! I have KickMax, but I think I only did it a couple of times. I probably did a premix without the drills too.

Lori, great job on the workouts. Yes, having Kylee has really helped. Now if I can just stop the continuous reel of each day last week from running through my mind. All I think about is each day, day by day, what happened, what could have happened, and the "what ifs"...: "What if they did the X-ray sooner, and got in there sooner" etc etc. That is awesome that you are going to join your son's GF to get her motivated!

Judy, great workouts! Are you doing all the MM's in a rotation plan? Where do you get that supplement? (hydraplenish). I definitely need to look at the Amazon card! Is there a yearly fee?

The new dryer is going to be delivered this morning....

Take care,

Deb-It's so hard when you lose a pet. I felt the same way when we lost our kitties, thinking about all the "what ifs". (hugs)
This week I'm doing mostly MM's and Cathe Live. There isn't a yearly fee for the Amazon Card.
I'm on my 3rd bottle of hydraplenish. I've gotten it at Vitamin Shoppe and Fresh Thyme. I get the one with MSM, but they have one without it too.

https://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/nat...aluronic-acid-plus-msm-60-veggie-caps/nw-7303

I did Cathe Live Low Impact Cardio Hiit, 34 minutes, heart rate average 129, max 158, 222 calories, 2,397 steps. I then did Cathe Live Birthday Bash 2017, just the boxing portion and stretch, 30 minutes, heart rate average 129, max 158, 2,337 steps, 196 calories. I still intend to do some stretching. Maybe Kelly's Raw stretch. Total time 64 minutes, 418 calories,

Lori, great that you are doing well with your workouts. I will be interested in seeing how you like Beach Body on Demand. I am sure there is probably kickboxing on that one too. I hope that your son's girlfriend loves the workouts. I am sure it will be fun for both of you.

Judy, I have a vitamin C serum that I use with hyaluronic acid in it. I have been using it for a long time. When I buy the Joint Vibrance it has a good amount of it added into it's formula. The Now double strength has L Proline, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Grape Seed extract in it. It should be here today.
I keep looking at the floor workout on Kelly's Raw streaming since it says it is good for those with foot and knee issues. They do have the Hydraplenish on Amazon.
