Good morning,

Today I did KCM's Muscle Up- Total Body Timesaver Premix: 50 Min.

I think tis is one of her best all weight workouts.

The weather is cooperating, sunny and a high today supposedly should be 72. Hope to get some YardMax done,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :)

Good morning ladies!

Yesterday I did Tabatacise and then walked chester for 3 miles with 2 swims during. (Chester not me!). The rest of the day was house max and errands.

Today DH and I plan to have a quite day. Boughts some filets to throw on the grill. Looks like it will be a nice day today so we will be hanging out on the patio enjoying the day.

Deb...great job on the KCM. I have previewed it and know I will love it also. It looks like a great solid weight dvd. Her personality motivates you.

I need to catch up on the past couple of days posts.

Have a great day all!

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did RK with 1 lb. gloves (55:16).

Deb, since the Good Wife is primetime network TV, I don't expect the next season to start until the fall. This past season which you are waiting on was really good. Since it's been raining off and on this past week, I have some major weeding to do. Maybe this afternoon.

Lori, it sounds like your DH is feeling a bit better. I'm making cilantro-lime grilled chicken fajitas with grilled onions and peppers. Just made the marinade and I'm looking forward to some grilling this evening too. Hope the weather is sunny for a few days now.

Went to see the Edge of Tomorrow, and it was okay, if a bit formulaic. I guess I would call it a malevolent version of Ground Hog Day.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

Happy Monday!

Well I am taking tomorrow off, but not for any fun reason. Our sewer backed up again yesterday, we had Roto-Rooter come back out ( they were here and cleaned it on Memorial Day) and they did it again, under the guarantee. A few hours later, when a load of laundry was finished, it was backing up again, so here they come, for the second time. Ugh...they used a camera and looked at the whole thing from the street to the back of the house, lots of roots, that they say they cannot get (obviously) with the regular tool. They are coming tomorrow to dig up the drain, replace whatever is there with all new stuff. This means jack-hammering the basement floor etc. FUN WOW....

Lori, yesterday was a perfect day for grilling and hanging out on the patio! How is Chester's leg? ok now?

Lynda, what really irritates me about CBS and The Good Wife...they have an
app that you can download to watch full episodes, but for this season, they have them starting at episode 6 or 7 and go all the way to the current episode, but not the first few! I finished Mr. Selfridge season one last night, and, of course season 2 is not free on Prime...you have to buy it. I have to find something that is no longer on TV, like Damages, so I can see the whole thing. Did you watch Mad Men?

Hi to Josie, Valerie & Judy,

Work, then class tonight. It's our progress match, and team practice so we go an hour earlier.

Nothing like expecting the sounds of jackhammers in the basement!! Deb, what a PITA. however gray water backing up is not a great thing either. that's what happened with our septic last year, but it was in the yard. all of a sudden the water wasn't draining out into the drainfield( all underground) and we had a puddle on top of the tank un the garden area.

we learned some ipad stuff last night and dh at least is getting pretty confident . we put the channels we want to stream in a folder so they are all together and should be easy to move around. national news is NBC live stream. the others you can see selected stories but the whole broadcast doesn't stream continuously.
off to a doctor appt. will check in later. we are getting significant rain. been wet since last Thursday if I remember right. haven't ridden ...

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did GG, the premix without the ball (55:40). I also took Max for a 3 mile walk last night. His paw is much better.

Ugh, Deb, that does not sound like fun. I enjoyed Veronica Mars on Amazon Prime, as well as Orphan Black, the first season. I have been watching the second season on TV. The Sopranos and The Wire are now free on Amazon Prime. I never could get into Mad Men. I am currently watching episodes from The West Wing and really enjoying them.

Lori, lots of open endings, new beginnings in GOT last night.

Beautiful weather here--which means DH is working his butt off in the hayfields.

We have "orange is the new black" next up on our queue. I've watched Mad Men. to me, it's just confusing and a little depressing. much of the time I have no idea what anyone is talking about or why they do what they do.... sometimes they capture the time period well, clothing and decoration. I feel no connection to the characters nor much to like about most of them. sometimes there'll be a segment that makes some sense and then there will be several more that don't. I wouldn't wade thru this one again but I will finish it just to see it through. I don't think it got worse over the seasons, but it is getting tedious.
DH wants to see the Sopranos again and I guess I'd try but I didn't care for that one much. for me, it was like Mad Men. we will see if it's available on Netflix streaming.

the worst series I ever wasted a lot of time on was "Lost". I don't remember how many seasons of meandering I watched, but suddenly it seemed like a pointless piece of garbage and I could not watch one more minute of it. I really resented wasting so much time on it for nothing.

so after not getting thread update notifications , I got two today.

I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't worked out much lately. we did the hike last week, and I went to yoga but just yard work and house cleaning and guests last night. the constant rain has not helped much. today ( this afternoon) I will do Flex Training my doctor appt went very well... all is fine. was not expecting problems but still feels good.

Hi Everyone,

This morning I ran 3 miles and tonight I am going to do a Cathe core workout before I go to bed. It was so nice out today!
This weekend was lots of house and yard max and spending time with FIL. I think after next weekend (more family coming into town to visit FIL) things will start to get back to normal for us and we might be able to start doing fun things on the weekends again. It's been such a long time since we had our weekends, over 2 years now.

Deb-I love the new KCMs! Sorry about your sewer backup. That is no fun at all :(

Valerie-sound like you have a great setup with Apple TV. We might have to look at that too. Glad your doctor's appointment went well. That is always a good feeling.

Lori-I have Tabatacise but I haven't tried it yet.

Hi to Josie!

Have a great week!

Judy

Good morning,

No workout this morning, late class last night. The plumbers arrive around 8:30 and may take all day..ugh...jack hammers at 9:00 in the basement. Well at least it better solve the drain issue.

Valerie, it sounds like you have that steaming thing with the iPad down pat now! I never watched Lost, thought it would get very boring after a season or 2, and then when it ended and everyone was so angry because they never really said what happened, I was glad that I did not get sucked into it.

Judy, hopefully you will get a nice weekend in a couple of weeks! Is your FIL getting more used to the AL home?

Hi to Josie & Lori,

Will check back later.

Lynda, maybe I will try Veronica Mars...is there only the first season on Prime? My cousin loves Mad Men. Shows how all of us are different.

so far the appleTV with the ipad works decently. ( DH is doing it, I will learn eventually) the ipad is so much nicer than the laptop we'd used. we are using it when we travel next week and it will be way less cumbersome than the laptop. most of the selections on even hulu plus ($7.99 a month) are not great. we are watching "24" right now, the one where Jack is in London. only location changes, the story is the same every time. I dislike this series but DH likes it occasionally and it has commercials! just like regular TV. I don't watch stuff with commercials. I refuse. so I ended up doing more kitchen clean up and talking to my brother than watching.
Ended up without a workout again... the camper repair place called and we had to pick it up and that took half the afternoon. could have done a ride if we hadn't needed to do that. last time DH got lost going there. he can run the TV, I don't get lost. some sort of trade off. off to yoga.

Hi Ladies,

I did not workout Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We had to go and sign for DD new car and yesterday I took my dad and mom to lunch for Father's Day. I will be going to body pump today and spinning tomorrow.

I need to get all my workouts in before my grand kids get here on the 26th for a two week visit.

Judy, glad that you are finally going to have some time for you and your DH to do fun things. Two years is a long time to put your lives on hold.

I will be back later.

Josie

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did After Burn (54:00).

Deb, all three seasons of Veronica Mars are free with Amazon Prime, as is the movie that came out after money was raised by fans who wanted some kind of closure after the series was cancelled. A very engaging heroine who moves from high school into college in the second and third years of the series. Don't envy you the noise. Rattles the brain.

Judy, how nice that you will have more time to spend with your DH. I am currently a hay widow. The weather is too nice for DH not to be cutting and baling his hay.

Valerie, that's what I like about the DVR. Just record and skip over the commercials. My DH is recording this new season's 24 as well. But he is more interested in the World Cup right now. I am somewhat interested because my sons both played soccer and I watched a lot of it, but I still don't know what "off sides" means.

Josie, I don't know how you will get in all those workouts you listed awhile ago, but I'm sure you will.

Hi to Lori!

Good evening ladies!

Yesterday was a rest day and today I did 20 minutes of Barre at lunch time and then did about 40 minutes of a cathe mix that I made from the workout blender. Had some high impact tabatats and low impact also. Ended up being a great workout.

Been so busy the past few days. Being a nurse is hard! He has an injectable medicine which is a blood thinner that I give him every night which I hate doing. He developed a blot clot in his leg last time he was in a cast so they started him immediately with it this time. He is starting to get a little depressed and feels trapped. This is what happened last time. Trying to keep him upbeat.

Valerie...I ended up loving LOST but hated the ending. I never got into 24. I tried but it just didn't click with me. Right now my DH and I are loving Fargo. I have it set to record to our DVR and we finally have had time to start watching it. There are 9 episodes and we watched 5 on Saturday. Sounds like the Ipad is working well for you!

Deb....hoping your sewer problems are resolved soon and your basement is put back together. I have heard good things about Veronica Mars.

Judy...after 2 years you both certainly deserve a fun weekend! I still have not done the KCM lift up yet. Tabatacise is a sweat fest for me. Gets my heart rate thru the roof.

Josie...nice that your grandkids will be visiting soon. Running around with them is still working out in my book.

Lynda...I have not seen Sunday's GOT yet and it is killing me! I hear it is soooo good. It has been so nice here the past few days. Loving this weather!

Have a great night!

Good morning,

This morning I did KCM's Muscle Up premix where she does one set of everything. Boy is it humid. Thank goodness we have a dehumidifier in the basement room where I work out. whew! Plumbing all done, let's hope this is the last of it.

Valerie, great that you and your DH compliment each other, he is techno- savy, and you are "direction-savy"! Makes things work well, whatever you are doing. :)

Josie, you are going to get 2 weeks of workouts into what? one week? WOW...good going,

Lynda, I started Veronica Mars and am now hooked! Thanks for the recommendation, I like it a lot. The characters are good, and he plot lines. I didn't think I would warm up to a high school type show, but it is really good.

Lori, yes, it is tough when someone that is active and busy has to stay down....especially this time of year when it is great to be outdoors. Does he like to read?

Hi to Judy!

Work, then home to relax, and stay out of the humidity.

Take care,

Lori is DH on heparin? I was on that for about a week and it was miserable. the injections hurt ALOT. I don't know why but I had very intense pain from them. I'd lie on the floor when DH gave them to me and I'd pound and scream until the pain subsided in several minutes. then I developed a headache from it that would not quit... had to have a scan to make sure I hadn't developed a bleed. I don't think most people have that much trouble. but that's still better than developing a DVT.

I started out liking Lost and at times I enjoyed it so I kept watching but it just dragged on too long without any resolution, just more characters introduced until it made less and less sense. suddenly I could not watch another minute! I don't know exactly how it ended but know people were ticked off that it was disappointing. I didn't like the Sopranos ending either.

started "orange is the new black" last night. will need to see more to decide. Veronica Mars..haven't come across that one in my searching.

My mother is not doing very well. she keeps falling and is becoming increasingly incontinent. this is not boding well for staying at home.

DH gets so weird about directions. I used to do a lot of travel alone so when I got mixed up I'd pull over and recheck my map or directions. he keeps driving and gets further & further off course. he acts as if it's some "road rule" that once you start driving, you can't stop or your car will blow up. we don't have gps in any of our vehicles though I've used it on my phone occasionally, but he seems to not want to use it. I google maps for a route and I'd use gps in a city I'm not familiar with.
we will ride today for sure as soon as morning clouds clear off.

Forgot to say.. I planted strawberries first time in years... last summer. the deer LOVE the entire plant and eat all of it if not fenced off. so was finally getting some ripening berries. yesterday I was picking peas, broccoli and I looked at the plants and the berries were gone. so I thought...rabbits? slugs? maybe DH ate them? so looking out the window last evening and saw a big gray squirrel come down a tree, run down into the garden under the fence, and head directly to the berries. I could see the plants shaking as he pulled off the unripe berries. mystery solved.

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did XTrain bis and tris (45:34), and last night I took Max for a 3 mile walk.

Deb, it's very humid here as well. I was dripping wet last night by the time I got back from my walk with Maxie. I didn't think I would like Veronica Mars either, but found myself hooked on the characters, the individual plots, and the arc of the season. I can understand why people were upset when it was cancelled after 3 seasons and why the "martians" (what the fans called themselves) financed a feature length film to get some kind of closure. The film was really pretty good. Hope your plumbing woes are over!

Lori, I recorded the season finale of Fargo last night and plan to watch it tonight. EW gave it high marks. I love this show and hope for another season. Talk about dark humor! Yep--GOT was great. I will miss it. If your DH is getting stir crazy, don't let him read Wool or Shift. I really have to read this series in small doses because it makes me claustrophobic. I'm hoping the final book gets humanity out of the silos.

Valerie, now that you know the culprit, is there any solution? I have seen some people with arch-over fencing of blueberries to keep out birds and other vermin. I have read that Orphan Black is really good.

Hi to Josie and Judy!

Hi Ladies,

Went spinning today. Tomorrow I might spin and do body pump after just like I do on on Saturdays some times.

Garance. You are going to love the Fargo finally :).

I will be back later.

Josie

Good evening ladies!

This morning I did Ruthless Fast slow burn and at lunch I did the first 40 minutes of Travel fit. Wanted to get my workout in before coming home. MY Dh is depressed and alone all day so do not want to come home and say hi honey going to work out.

We are really enjoying Fargo. Going to watch an episode tonight. I recommended this to my friend and he is hooked also.

Valerie...so sorry to hear about your mom. Very sad. Funny about the squirrel taking the berries! Got a chuckle reading it. Dh is on IC Enoxaparin 40. This is what is on his prescription. The nurse called it something else though. Thought it was Lovenox? Sp?

Lynda...yes I will not recommend Wool to him! He used to read a lot but lately he is trying to squeeze in some here and there.

Deb....forgot to answer about the Ipad 2 update. When the next operating system is released from apple the Ipad 2 will not update to this. Eventually you will notice when you purchase apps they will not be available for the Ipad 2.

Hi to Judy and Josie!

Happy Day After Hump Day!

Did a 35 minute treadmill workout, I really like Candace Grasso, wish she would do more treadmill stuff.

Valerie, sorry about your Mom...has your brother picked out a place where she can get some 24 hour care? It has to be tough for him...the only experience I have had with Heparin is that I have to have it in an IV if I have surgery. I have something called Factor 5...a hereditary clotting thing. Both my brother and one of his daughters has it too. I'm with you on Lost....sounded frustrating to me, and I just heard about it from others that were talking about it! I think you need to use the GPS! LOL....Dang that squirrel..:)

Lori, so thoughtful that you workout at work, so you can keep your DH company. Hope he gets out of the slump...is he watching a lot of movies etc? thanks for the iPad info...makes me really start to resent getting anything made by Apple.

Lynda, I plan on finishing the series ( 3 seasons) of VM and watching the movie...it's addicting; like all of them, Damages, Doc Marten, etc. :) I would like to watch Fargo, but refuse to pay....is it on Netflix? or not yet?

Hi to Josie, & Judy,

Work then home to stay inside where it is dry and not humid! Thank goodness for AC!

Take care,

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Jazzercise Hiit (47:00).

Josie, you were right--I loved the finale of Fargo. Poetic justice for Lester.

Valerie, it sounds like your brother has a lot of decision-making to do. Very difficult for you to help at a distance.

Lori, if your DH is looking for something to read, you might want to recommend Linwood Barclay: Bad Guys, Bad Move, and Fear the Worst have a hilarious hero named Zach Walker and are very funny thrillers. He also has a thriller titled Trust Your Eyes which is very well done. I would hate to give anyone a shot. DH does it all the time when he is worming piglets and calves.

Deb, I think you would like Orphan Black too. It sounds weird, but the actress who plays all these roles is amazing. Fargo for free won't happen until the next season I suspect.

Hi to Judy!
