Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 5/14

Good evening ladies!

Very buzy day today. My workout consisted of Cathe's newest live Warrior Kickboxing. It was an awesome workout. Funny thing is once it got to the core work at the end it kept freezing so I stopped and said...even my wifi knows I hate core!! There was plenty thru out this workout anyways. I then did the lower portion of BBS Hips, Thighs,Buns and Core dvd. This was on the rotation for today. Since I did the Live workout I figured I had reach my cardio quota for the day so I only did the lower portion that uses bands. My legs were exhausted! Total time was 72 mins and 475 cal.

It was so nice today. My husband and I went to home depot for some edging bricks and mulch for the back patio where the gas fire pit is. We put in all the bricks this afternoon. It was a lot of work as we needed to dig to lay all the bricks. I then mulched around all my plants. We also bought a little black wire fence about 18inches high to go all along the bricks to keep GiGi from trampling all my plants. It looks better than we thought it would. Needed to do something to keep her off of them. I am now sitting on my swing with GiGi (and a glass of wine ) admiring our work while hubby is napping!

Diane Sue...GiGi is really good about not jumping up on the counters. So different from Chester. He was so big and fast. If you left anything up there it would be gone in a second. Scary though the dish broke and yes amazing she did not burn herself.

Deb...hoping Kylee is feeling better and all is ok. Poor pup. Yes you can pair a Bluetooth headphone with many devices. Not at the same time though. Although the Bose headset pairs 2 at once. I love my Bose headset and don't think I could ever use anything else. I have been a Bose fan for years now. Before my son was born our neighbor was an executive at Bose..their main office is in Massachusetts a couple towns over from where I work. Been buying Bose for over 25 years now and pretty much every speaker I own is a Bose.

Valerie...I get it. Tilting the seat down a bit helped me but if I remember but pressure on my hands which caused more numbnes! Hoping you can figure out which way is best for you and get relief.

Caitlyn...what is the name of Frank's movie? Would love to look it up on imdb. How exciting! The wrinkly skin might be do to the weight loss. Sounds like you are very lean. I read once that a well know older actress put on weight to look younger. Sometimes you need a little extra weight to plump things a bit.

Today I just had time for a short workout before the graduation. I did Shock Cardio Hiit 20/40. I am working through the Shock Cardio. Workout was 30 minutes, 237 calories. We went to lunch and I had to take two of the curtain panels they sent to Fed Ex. Out of 11 panels they sent two another color. The after graduation party wasn't till 3. It has been a busy day.
It was beautiful today. We road the motorcycle to the party and then road around the lake before coming home. This is the first time I have been on it since we purchased it.

Deb, I am sorry Kyle is not well. The vet I saw was the other one in the office and not my usual one. Ithink he generally does large animals like horses and cattle. In all the years I have been going there, this is the second time I have seen him. I also would think he would have told me to avoid tap water if it was a problem. I wonder if maybe since he was checking pH levels and stuff he thought the water would be a problem. I am sticking with filtered water like always. I did dump the outside bowl. She is fine now. I think I would have opt for more sleep.

Valerie, I bet the homegrown broccoli is really good. There have been times where I did not have brussels sprouts or broccoli that I just thawed frozen and used it for a salad. It is basically already blanched. I just have to absorb the excess moisture with paper towels or towel.

Caitlin, I hope you can gain some of your weight back. Do you still do a lot of walking?

Lori, I bet it does look nice having the planters all done. I had some canna lilies coming up in the planter in back. It has brick edging and Gertie keeps trampling them. I should put up something.
