Shopped today. Two weeks from today I'll be in Marquette.

Valerie glad your scan went well. I have a set of bluetooth ear buds, but I also have the kind that are attached and go over the ear. They are still meant to go in the ear, but you might get away with just have them hooked. While I'm not fond of the fact they raised the price, I do get a lot of use out of my Apple Music account. Anytime I hear something it's easy to just open and add it. And with my latest phone update, my phone can listen to music and tell me the title and artist. I already have a lot of songs on it, but I still hear things I'd forgotten about and then can add.

Diane Sue nice job with Fast Basic Step and Step and strength with bands. My husband currently only has a CD player in the house and his car. He hates if he has to ride with me because horror or horrors, my car does not have a CD player. LOL

Carolyn great job with RWH Legs.

Hi Judy!

Valerie, all of those scans and checks are worrying till we find out that everything is okay. I am glad things came out okay. I am really dreading my mammogram Monday. I am working on getting things trimmed and planted. I have a couple of azaleas delivered Tuesday. I didn't want to drag my husband around too much at Lowes. It was windy and cold. We talked about getting a couple of replacement tall junipers to replace the two that died after the bag worm infestation. I managed to save three of them. I want to get flowers in my pots. Hopefully weather permits getting outside to finish some of the mulch and planter work. I need to find a new lawn care provider. The one that has mowed since we lived here till he had something come up and got someone else to finish out the year seems to not be coming back. My lawn is getting long. We had more storms last night and my husband was caught in heavy hail on the way to work trying to get under a bridge. Fortunately the Jeep has the top that is removable. Three people died in a tornado that hit. I think it was on the outer edge of the city, not sure.
Those earbuds are so heavy. They seem awfully big and I would think the shape of the ear and ear canal would be a big factor in comfort and them staying in. I didn't notice my husband called and just thought the earbuds were making an odd noise. I have not tried answering calls with them. My daughter says she goes to sleep with earbuds in her ears. No way would that happen with me. They would be out and I would not like having sound trying to sleep. She uses it to block her husband's snoring.

Cathy, I have a CD/Dvd player in my car. My husband had it installed along with GPS that I never use and a back up camera. I have rarely used the dvd player. You have to be parked and it worked a few times when me and my youngest grandson had to wait in the car for his sister. Otherwise, there is no reason for that. He was happier if we took library books and read stories. I don't think many newer cars have CD players in them. My husband's has all of the usb ports etc.. I read when we travel in the car or look at my cell phone and play Word with Friends.

Carolyn nice work on Ripped with Hiit Legs. I looked at that one today and realized it had gliders in it. I need to figure out some way to do that. I just don't want to have to drag the weights to the secondary room with carpet. Plus I would have to move the heavy bag and fit tower somewhere. I try to do it in the hallway between the two rooms. I can't see the tv from there though. I am hoping I don't need to do gliding discs in the STS 2.0 workouts. I aired up my pilates balls. I also bought a balance disc and have been using it for some balance work and a pillow when I am lying on my back. It makes my neck feel better. I saw Cathy has one and checked and did not see one on equipment on the new workouts.

Carolyn I think we are not unusual not liking ear buds. I always have ear plugs along for sleeping in motels, campgrounds etc but usually they come out in a few minutes no matter what.. Ive tried soft ones harder ones, nothing stays put. I can get them in but immediately feel them pushing themselves out. it isnt anything I worry about but the noise blocking helps to sleep in noisy places so even if they stay in for 10 minutes it helps. I long ago quit trying music ear devices. I hate the feeling and dont like how the sound gets transmitted into my head.

we did a road ride yesterday, 15 miles and hour 15 minutes. going to mt bike today but not at the first place we planned. long drive and we will be driving sunday so using a closer location. we have CD players in some of the cars but rarely use them now. sirius is fine and more variety. our newer truck I dont know but I doubt it. we have sirius there as part of the new vehicle package that has not ended for some reason.

This morning I did Supersets bi's, triceps and shoulders. I hadn't done any of it in years and I'd forgotten how evil she is on some of that, with weight, reps, patterns and just how long she continues a move.

Diane Sue I just did a quick look through the equipment for STS 2.0 in any workout using lower body and didn't see disks mentioned at all. Derek falls asleep with his ear buds in, I can't do it. I've been fortunate to never be driving in hail. It can be so damaging. A few years back, we had a bad hail storm in the area and we didn't have any, but there was a lot of damage from it.

Valerie Interesting that your Sirius new vehicle package hasn't ended. Mine was for a year. After that I discovered that every year when it expires, I can threaten to cancel and get a pretty decent deal. My rate now is about 35% of full price. Because no way will I pay the full amount. Great that you got a road ride in yesterday. I hope that your mountain bike ride today goes well.

This morning I did RWH Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders, 2 sets and no Finishers. My time was 31 minutes with 155 calories burned. My average heart rate was 129 and maximum heart rate was 148.

Diane Sue, great job with Raw Boxing and Legs, Raw Legs, Stretch, and Yoga with Adrienne. RWH Legs doesn’t use the gliding discs, just various dumbbells. It’s the one that utilizes contrast training where you have a cardio move that is similar to the strength exercise. My legs were feeling like jelly after I finished!

Cathy, nice job with Supersets Bis, Triceps, and Shoulders. I haven’t done that one in a very long time. You get a lot of use from your streaming services. That’s wonderful. I’m just the opposite.

Valerie, I’m glad that you were able to ride yesterday.

Waving hello to Judy.

cathy we have no idea why sirus subscription continues on that truck. several years now on that vehicle. we do the same thing, threaten to quit ( on another vehicle) and they reduce the price. did our mt bike this morning, 1 hr 15 minutes in light drizzle. dry this afternoon but it not nice this morning.

I was relieved when the scan of the cyst turned out to be nothing to worry about. I get nervous before most tests, especially colonoscopies and mammograms. it was an ""incidental' finding from a different scan. diane sue, good luck on that mammogram. I sweat bullets before and until I get the results back.

we were in an awful crash in a hail storm a long time ago. 1990-ish. normal showery spring weather, we went around a turn on the freeway, abruptly into a blinding whiteout of hail. turned the road surface into ball bearings. we crashed along with about 20+ other cars. doesn't matter if you stop if the people behind you can't. we got sandwiched and shoved into the vehicle ahead from behind. totaled our truck and camper but we were both ok. it was scary seeing vehicles spinning and flying all over the road. yes, hail requires serious caution.

Diane Sue, I just watched the video clip for the body part legs workout and she’s using gliding devices, but I double checked and they aren’t in the equipment list.

Valerie big yikes on that accident. Sounds very scary. I always have the potential for snow on the road in my mind, but not hail like that. Years ago I was driving home one night on dry road and all of a sudden drove into snow covered road. No warning and I think I’d come up over small hill. I just slowed down and there was no one around, but the possibility sits in the back of my mind.

cathy have you heard of or seen these? in zoos I would guess. Salamander dads turning cannibal, threatening species survival | The Seattle Times its a story from the NYT that ran in the seattle paper this morning. a snot otter??? what a hoot! 2 feet and 5 lbs is a whole lot of snot otter. I'm a subscriber so I cant tell if you will be able to access the article.

it was a scary accident. closed down the freeway for hours. it was near Salem OR so we were able to get picked up by SIL/BIL who lived there but had to rent a car to get back home. conditions can change so fast. this was no ones fault, it was as if "everything is fine" and suddenly it was crazy.

Wednesday I did a 45 minute Peloton ride and got caught up on housecleaning. Yesterday I worked 6 hours and did a 45 minute Peloton ride when I got home. Today I did 40 minutes of Peloton beginner strength. I used very light weight so it was more of an active rest/recovery day. I work all day tomorrow then I’m off all next week and weekend.

Diane Sue-It sounds like you’ve had a busy week. Great job with all the CDorner workouts, Raw Boxing and Legs, Raw Stretch and Yoga with Adriene. Raw Boxing and Legs looks like a good one for me to put on my to do list. I hope your mammogram goes well. I always dread that too.

Valerie-I’m glad your u/s scan came out good. Great job with the spinning, therapy work and road ride. Wow, that crash sounds scary!

Cathy-Great job with Wicked Lower Body and Core and Supersets bi's, triceps and shoulders. We have Sirius on both of our vehicles and I use the app on my phone quite a bit. I’ve never tried Apple Music but I have a trial subscription through July for Apple News.

Carolyn-Great job with Low Impact Sweat, RWH Legs and RWH Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders. I agree about RWH Legs, the contrast training is very effective and my legs are always sore afterwards.

Yesterday, I did LITE Cardio Party, , heart rate 139/161,238 calories, 3,949 steps. I then did Pyramid Pump Upper timesaver pyramid up 3 sets, 39 minutes, 120 calories, heart rate 101/127, 624 steps. Getting ready to workout today. Lots of interruptions.
First

I had to cut today's workout short as I had packages come and many phone calls and texts. Then a person I contacted for lawn service returned my call and I needed to get showered and dressed before he gets here to give me quote and maybe mow. So, today I did CDorner Step and Abs stopping at the water break, 24 minutes, heart rate 116/134, 106 calories. I forgot to check the steps. After I showered I went back and did the abs and stretch part which started at 47 minutes into the workout. This was 12 minutes, 41 calories, heart rate 102/127. Total time was 36 minutes, 147 calories.
And now I am still waiting for the lawn person. He said he was just finishing up a landscaping job and would be heading over. Trying to catch up here. This week has been busy and I foresee the next one to be even more busy. Plus storms for several days which is why I need the lawn done. We do not have a lawn mower or I would go out and mow myself.

Cathy, nice work with Supersets bis, tris and shoulders. I wonder if she will have someone else doing the workout without the discs. Maybe I will have to skip the moves or come up with something else to replace them with. I am always afraid of storms and especially hail. Right now I am apprehensive as next week there are storms forecast for most of the week and I have appointments across town. I was stuck in a hail storm once and hardly moving traffic because a tornado had hit in the path I was going and the police were directing back the opposite direction. Pus I had grandchildren I was on my way to pick up from school. Other times it has been flooded country roads where you did not know where the road was. We went on a road trip one summer through Michigan to visit friends and the Indiana to visit a fitness friend and were stuck on the highway in rain torrents where you could not see anything and hail. I was so tense and worried. My husband was pointing out how it was bad to stay in the right lane as people stop because they cannot see and people behind run into them. After he said it there was an accident in the other lane.

Valerie, nice job getting in a ride yesterday. My husband does not listen to music and told Sirus radio he was not interested. I swear, they are a pest. He listens to a talk radio station when driving some. I listen to a Bott radio which is not music, it is Christian based. So we really have no need for the other. Those storms are terrible to be stuck out in.

Carolyn, nice work with RWH Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I will have to do the legs on that one then. Does the cardio segments have impact? I guess I need to just try it and see how it is.

Judy, nice work on the Peloton rides and Peloton Beginner Strength workout along with work and housework. I bet that you are looking forward to your week off. Raw Boxing and Legs is a good one. Time usually goes quickly.

Today is my rest day. I meant to post earlier but things came up and I didn’t get to it.

Judy, great job with the Peloton rides and strength work.

Diane Sue, nice job with Cardio Party, Pyramid Pump Upper timesaver, yoga, and CDorner Step and Abs. The cardio moves in RWH Legs are some high impact but I keep everything low. The moves are squat digs, plié jacks, split jumps, pop squats, lateral skates, snow angel jacks. All things that are easy to keep low.

Hello to Valerie and Cathy.

I did metabolic total body today, the first real cathe workout I've done since last fall. except for rev'd up rumble in there somewhere. the cardio part wasnt hard so I havent lost anything there, riding has kept cardio status working ok. for weights I did the whole thing with 4 lbs. a lot of the moves are only 5 lbs, but even for the 8,10, 12 lb moves I used 4. we are sitting all day tomorrow so if I get sore it wont be bad. I expect some soreness just because its different from what Ive been doing but it went ok. going to try to work my way back into this without hurting any delicate body parts.

I got things done this afternoon and the lawn is mowed. This worked out well. I also had a few groceries delivered that I was out of. My husband and I went out to dinner after the lawn was done.
My shoulders are sore today after yesterday's upper body work. I was hoping for a good stretch this morning, but did not get one.

Carolyn, thanks for listing those cardio moves. I can easily modify those to lower impact. CDorner shows lots of moves in place of the high impact and I have come up with some good ideas.

Valerie, great job on Metabolic Total Body. You are doing well getting back into some weights. I sometimes I think on some moves that I am stuck at 5 and 8 lbs. I try a bit more once in a while, but I will feel clicks and discomfort and worry about causing a problem, so I drop back down.
