Glad that I am not traveling. My daughter just texted and is halfway home from their spring break as the beach shut down. She says it is hard to find a restroom. Food is only drive through and the only place to find a restroom in in a gas station. A lot less people on the road. She says after being on vacation out of state she has to be quarantined and will have to wear a mask when she goes back to work. She says the masks that she will have to wear will protect others, but not her. She said there is a place to go to to make masks for the hospitals. Her friend and her daughter are sewing some. I don't have fabric for that or I would do it too. Shortages are bad and so wrong. Glad people are rallying to try to help where they can.
Valerie, I had to tell my husband about the cone on the guy and not touching his face. Maybe it would be practical for some people. They would learn not to touch their faces and maybe it would help with eating to much as well. I have not minded being housebound so much. I don't really like driving all that much or going places. My husband would have us being world travelers if he could drag me out the door and funds permitted. He did take advantage when he worked out of country. He has lots of memories. I like the safety of home. I don't really like going to movie theaters and malls. I keep thinking I need to push myself to start taking Gertie out for walks and get some sunshine. Maybe it would be better for my allergies and health than sitting in the house all of the time. I don't like not choosing my own groceries though. No, I will never like that. I had problems with my slippery workout capris the other day and trying to do one of the Walk Strong workouts with the playground ball behind my knee. It would not stay and kept sliding. I finally grabbed my small therapy ball and put it behind my knee, but don't think I got the same effect from squeezing it.
Deb, our vet is doing similar. They have sent out several notices. I am going to have to buy Frontline soon so I will probably have to have them bring it to the car. I have 3 weeks ahead though. Maybe I should be looking for it now. Hoping there is not issues with dog food supplies. I bet that is rough when you have been making your dog food. I didn't know you had a parrot. We always wanted one, but had to get rid of our parakeets because our daughter is allergic to feathers. That is so sad that you husband had to close the office indefinitely. I did not read the comments about the container on the nut butter. I will have to look. Some women on Kelly's group check in facebook were talking about it and used it for the protein balls. They all seem to love it so I ordered some after looking at the nutrient protocol. I do like things better out of glass. I have had things like beverages packaged in plastic that had a chemical taste like the plastic before. Come to think of it when we used to get milk in glass it tasted better. But, I think that about many things we eat now as compared to before, so maybe it is processing and additives that have changed.
Carolyn, I am thinking of taking a rest and maybe stretch day tomorrow. Normally I do that on Sunday mornings, but since the surgery I have had extra rest days and did a workout Sunday since I was not at church, but also knowing I was taking Wednesday off for my grandchildren and getting stitches out. Still adjusting to my husband's new work hours and my daytime activities. Enjoy your rest day.
