Wednesday
Good morning,
Had to go to dinner with my boss and his boss last night, so I was very tired this morning and did not get up to do a workout. Tonight is a dog club meeting that DH wants me to go to, so it will be a very late night.
Well sad news on the puppy front, all 8 from the first litter have died, and only 3 left from the second litter, 2 boys and 1 girl. Our friend said they are hoping that the girl will be one that they keep for show, but if not, we would have first pick of her. I asked him about getting a "mellow" boy and if he had any experience with 2 wire boys living together in harmony. Waiting for his reply. We're not sure what we are going to do if this doesn't work out, maybe switch breeds, "oh my!!".
Josie, wow those workouts must have done wonders for your leg strength to be able to do that ride so soon.
Valerie, I worry about being a burden to someone, and also, what will happen to DH and me if either of us is gone, and we are ill like that. We have no kids to depend on, or anyone really. I see what my friend did for her mom and what Joan does, and hope that I go before that. I was really upset when my dad died, he just got up, made his morning pot of coffee, went on the couch to wait for it, and died before he got his first cup. It was either a stroke or heart attack. His fear was going into a nursing home, he could not even think about it. I am so glad he did not have to do that.
Garance, Max is so cute and funny. Maybe we should look into something like him or an English cocker, or maybe a Springer Spaniel. I think my first dog must have been some type of English sheppard. She looked just like Max. Back then, no one knew what any dog was, they were all from the spca and assumed to be mixed breeds.
Take care,
